How do I add a SCXI-1160 to my system?

This falls into the 'had some extra parts, let's use them' category.
My current configuration is PCI-6221 into a SCXI-1001 Chassis with a 1349 Cable Adapter. The only modules I have in this chassis right now are a 1102/b/c with a 1303 terminal block and a 1180 feedthrough with a 1302 terminal block.
I've come across a spare SCXI-1160 module with 1342 breakout connector. I'd like to use this for some switching tasks rather than the analog outputs of my 6221 (need more channels than the card has, which is two). This module came to me with no documentation or cabling so I'm unsure how to connect it to my current system.
If someone could point me in the right direction for the correct cable to purchase I'd appreciate it, and input on the connection setup as well. Much thanks

Hi Ralph,
You shouldn't need any extra cabling to be able to control or interface
with your SCXI-1160 relay module. The 1160 can be controlled from
the PCI-6221 M-Series card (via the 1349 adapter), and the 1324
terminal block provides the interface for the relays. Check out this tutorial for more information on connecting signals to the 1160.
Try installing the 1160, adding it to your SCXI chassis in MAX, and try
switching with the Switch Soft Front Panel. Let me know how this
goes.

How can I add additional airport expresses to my system that are not being recognized by Airport utility?

I recently purchased time capsule to upgrade my wireless system. I have 3 airport expresses in my network; I was able to reconfigure one, but the other 2 won't reconfigure. They are not recognized by Airport utility after being reset; the time capsule and one reconfigured airport express shows up. I would like to use the other two airport expresses to extend my wireless system. I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

Unfortunately, you will have to use Apple's WDS setting for all of the devices on the network....Time Capsule, new AirPort Express and older AirPort Express devices.
That is going to slow things down tremendously on the network.
WDS only operates at "g" wireless speed, so you lose any "n" speed advantage of your newer devices.
Worse, the bandwidth is cut in half on the entire network for each device that is set up as "relay" or "remote" on the system.
So, the first "remote" (or relay) cuts wireless speed from 54 Mbps down to 27 Mbps. The second cuts everything down to about 14 Mbps and the third drops everything down to about 7 Mpbs. That is much slower than the old wireless "b" systems.
Compare that to "n" speeds of 130 Mbps or up to 300 Mbps (if you are using 5 GHz) and you can easily see that you are losing more than 90% of the speed capability on the network.
Do you even want to consider doing this?

Terminal.app is missing. How do I add it back?

I recently purchased Mac tune up and when I go to perform the maintenance it is asking for the location of terminal.app. After some investigation I learned it should be in the utilities folder. All that is in there is Adobe. So this presented another problem. Installer is missing as well. How to I add these two back to the system? Thank you in advance for your help!!!! Matthew

I am starting to develop some VB 5.0 code that interfaces with a PXI/SCXI Chassis. One of the cards that I have to work with is the SCXI-1160.

At this point in time (5/14/01), I do not believe there are any pre-existing example programs developed in Visual Basic to control an SCXI-1160 switch module.
However, the process is very easy to explain. You will need to add the NI-SWITCH instrument driver as a DLL reference to your VB program. The DLL file is called niswitch_32.dll and is located at C:\VXIpnp\WinXX\Bin (WinXX = Win95 or WINNT).
Your program will begin with the niSwitch_init(...) function, and end with the niSwitch_close(...) function. The niSwitch_Connect(...) function can be used to actually make switch connections in your application.

How do I add multiple tickets under the same confirmation number from the American Airlines app to Passbook?

I have a confirmation number from American Airlines for a flight with my family all under my name and for some reason I cannot add all of our tickets to Passbook. To clarify, I went to the American Airlines app and put in the confirmation number along with my name which pulled up my boarding pass only. Although I was able to add this boarding pass to Passbook, I was not able to add any of the other boarding passes for my children to Passbook that should have also been under the flight reservation. In fact I couldn't even see them in the American Airlines app. I tried to use their names and the same confirmation number but nothing happened, and nothing else seems to be working. How can I add all of these boarding passes to my Passbook?

I started doing this before unlimited data and emails on phones was a common commodity, on my Samsung Blackjack.
I then continued it due to its convenience. My only counter argument is this:
Even when emails are set to immediately push, I am always notified earlier by this forwarding message (sometimes by several minutes/hours due to the fact that it is not dependent on my being connected to 4G or wifi to receive it.
Also, to contradict snozdop's point that both methods use data and battery, I say this - when I use the forwarding method, the information comes in a pure text format and therefore uses considerably less information than an HTML and CSS rich email, with embedded images and such -also, unlimited text messages aids curve costs.
I will, however, give this method a go. In any case, a solution to my original question would still be greatly appreciated.
