How do I add a sky overlay in photoshop cc?

How do I add a sky overlay in photoshop cc? I have other photoshop users tell me there is a library of open photos on the bottom of the screen (which CC DOES NOT HAVE) and this makes it easy to drag photos and then add masks for layring overlays, textures etc. Please help.

As far as the library of images, that sounds like they are using mini bridge, but you have actually have the photos to use.  Photoshop does not supply them.  In regard to adding a sky overlay, there are tons of tutorials on this on the web, so do a search for that and find one that works well with what you want to do.

  • How do I add button states separately without Photoshop Layers?

I realize I can make a layered Photoshop file to import buttons and their states into Muse using the "Place Photoshop Button.,.."
but I would rather do them individually manually i.e. exporting each state from Photoshop as independent .png files into my assets folder, such as normalbutton.png, overbutton.png, activebutton.png, and manually importing each state?  Any ideas?

    Again:
    1. Choose an object.
    2. Choose the state (normal, rollover, active …)
    3. Klick on "Fill"
    4. Choose a photo and a method to fit it into the object.
    5. Repeat that for the other states.

  • How can I add an arabic font in Photoshop CS5?

Hi..I have windows 7, and am using photoshop CS5. I have an arabic font installed in my control panel
thus i can use it in all other programs..except for photoshop. I cant view that arabic font in the photoshop
fonts drop down box. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me! thanks.

Thanks a lot, however there is another arabic font in photoshop, which I can use,
but whenever i use that font, its doesnt come out right..its like the letters are disjointed.
Also i tried to look for the 'Middle Eastern Format" in the "paragraph" section..but the
middle eastern option was not availabe. So the point is I can't write in Arabic in Photoshop!
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me.Thanks.

  • How do i add text to my photos?

How do i add text to my photos - previously you could do this on iphoto

Many users find the excellent and highly-recommended BorderFX more than meets their needs.
A couple of things to note:
    - "Photos" misleads us into an understanding of what we manipulate with our computers that differs from what our computers are programmed to manipulate.  Within Aperture, you have Images (called, imho confusingly, also Versions and also Photos); outside of Aperture you have image-format files that you see listed in the Finder and use in other programs.  BorderFX lets you overlay text and watermarks, and add borders, to Images in Aperture.  When you do this, a new file is created and automatically imported (it becomes a new Original).  You can also export via BorderFX, in which case a file based on your Image and the changes you've set in BorderFX is saved to the location (outside of Aperture) that you specify.
    - Adding text to an Image is a _graphics_ operation, and not a _digital camera file_ operation:  it is outside the remit of Aperture, which hews to being a photographer's non-destructive RAW digital camera file storage and development workspace.  You use Aperture to store, organize, and develop (make as good as possible for a particular use) digital camera files.  When you need a new graphics file, you (generally) export your Image from Aperture, and create new graphics files using a graphics program (e.g.: Photoshop, Pixelmator, GIMP, etc.).  Graphics programs are built from the ground up as compositors.  Aperture does almost no compositing.  BorderFX is a slick, purpose-driven compositing plug-in.

  • How can I add a logo to the bottom right of a video?  I have a jpg logo to use.

How can I add a logo to bottom right of video, using a jpg?

Even though David's answer is for Final Cut Express, the same answer should apply for FCP X only you would need to place the "track" ... let's say clip ... above the clip it is to overlay.  Thus it can either be a storyline or a connected clip but it should reside above the primary storyline assumming that is where the video is you want your logo to overlay.  As David points out, the type of graphic file should be one that allows the transparent background feature such as a PNG or PSD, etc.  Of course, if your logo has a solid box background, you may be able to simply scale it down and position it to the right place and overlay it over your other video clip using the method described above.  Hope this helps.

    Searched Watermark in Manual
    Adding a Watermark at Export
A watermark is a visible graphic overlay that is applied to an image. Photographers often use watermarks to indicate that images are protected by a copyright and discourage others from inappropriately using their images.
You can import a graphics file and add it to your images as a watermark.
To add a watermark image to your exported images:
1 Select the images you want to export.
2 Choose File > Export > Versions (or press Command-Shift-E).
3 In the dialog that appears, choose Edit from the Export Preset pop-up menu.
4 In the Export Presets dialog, select the export preset you want to use to export your images.
5 Select the Show Watermark checkbox.
6 Click the Choose Image button.
7 Select the image you want to use as a watermark, then click Choose.
8 Choose where you want the watermark to appear on the image from the Position
    pop-up menu.
9 To adjust the opacity of the watermark, drag the Opacity slider to a new position.
10 If you want the watermark to be scaled in proportion to the image’s output size, select the “Scale watermark” checkbox.
11 When you’re satisfied with how your watermark appears in the watermark preview area, click OK.
12 Navigate to the location where you want the exported images placed.
13 Choose a name format for your exported files from the Name Format pop-up menu.
    14 Click Export Versions.
Your files are exported with the watermark you created.
    *Tips for Creating High-Quality Watermarks*
Use the following guidelines to create high-quality watermarks for your images:
Â Save your watermark as a .psd (Photoshop) file with a transparent background.
Â Create multiple sizes of your watermark so that you can select the one that is the best match for the output size of the exported image.
Note: If a watermark file is larger than the image you want to export, Aperture
automatically scales the watermark down to fit the image. (Aperture does not scale watermarks up.)
Â After you create a watermark, save it as part of an export preset so you can reuse it as often as you need.

  • How can I add photos to a video without interrupting the sound of the original video?

In PE11, How can I add photos to a video without interrupting the sound of the original video?

    RLHeflin
Thanks for getting your details posted. Good job.
    You further explained
I am simply wanting to “overlay” a new visual element without disturbing the underlying audio.
A classical way to do a Premiere Elements Overlay is to hold down the Ctrl key of the computer main keyboard and drag the new clip over the area of the one you want to replace on the Timeline. That should not do anything but replace one portion of the video on the Timeline. No change in duration video or audio track if you are dealing with video linked to audio.
If you hold down the Alt key of the computer main keyboard, I am envising a scenario where you want to add to (not replace) some Timeline content.
A just in case note, if you have video on Video 1 and 2 and the video in 2 does not have transparent areas in it, then all you will see is the Video 2 content. I believe that Hunt eluded to that concept as a possible technique for what you might be doing.
Another just in case, if you have not seen the following Adobe documentation on arranging clips, you might be interested in the following link

  • How do I add timelapse metadata?

I can create a timelapse QuickTime using QT7's "Open Image Sequence" feature, but I would like a way to readily answer the question "What time was that frame taken?" for any moment within the QuickTime.  I have gone to the trouble of naming all my source image jpegs in the format "YYYY-MM-DD-HHMMSS.jpg" to reference the original date and time that the jpeg was photographed, but how do I get the QuickTime movie derived from these jpegs to reference back to this information?   Is there a way of adding metadata for each frame of the QuickTime?   Can I park on a frame on the QuickTime and hit a button to reveal the source jpeg name?

One way would be to use subtitles:
I can create a text file like so:
    {QTtext}{font: Arial}{justify: center}{size: 50} {timescale: 30}{width: 2592}{height: 0}{keyedText:on}{timeStamps:relative}
    [00:00:00.00] 2012-03-15-084632
    [00:00:00.01] 2012-03-15-084732
    [00:00:00.01] 2012-03-15-084832
    [00:00:00.01] etc....
(The width is based on the width of a jpeg created with the iPhone 4 camera.)
I open the text file with Quicktime 7, select all, copy and then "Edit / Add to Movie" on the timelapse video QT.
This adds a text overlay burn of the filenames over each frame of the timelapse footage.   (Or the first 3 frames for this test.)
Looking at the Resources tab of the Properties pane of the video track of the QuickTime, I can see that the jpegs are all listed there.   And I can double click on any of them to load the jpeg into its own QT window.  So the information is there, it just isn't connected in any direct way -- unless forced with this subtitle method.
Other than video, audio, text and timecode -- what other types of tracks are available in a Quicktime?  Or is that a question for another thread?
