How do I add a "stroke" to an image in Motion 5?

I have a rectangle image.  I want a border on it (a stroke).
How do I add one of those?

The easiest way to add a border around an image is to use a simple border filter. Select the image layer and click the filter button in the tool bar and select border>simple border. In the HUD or filter tab in the inspector you can set the width, color and whether you want the border inside or outside of the image.

  • How do I add a stroke to only the outside of a shape?

I'm trying to add a stroke to a logo for my company. It's basically similar to the shape of a donut so there is an open area the shape of a circle in the middle of the logo. When I add a stroke, it adds it to the outside of the logo, but also in that circle too. I only need the outside stroke. Is there a way to do just that? Using Photoshop CS6.

So, there's more to this logo, but here's the shape to which i've been referring. Long story short, the only way I have this is all in one layer. So I'm trying to put a stroke around the outside of the black without there being one in the inner circle and then removing the black color while leaving the gray. Is that possible if it's all one layer?

  • How do I add video in my Photoshop images and graphics? I need it to play in Adobe Acrobat when I'm done.

I designed an electronic press kit and I need the video to play on it. I'm getting the video link from YouTube so I was wondering how to make that happen. I already tried putting the YouTube link behind the video layer so it can be clickable in Acrobat, but when I sent it to the online magazine forum there was a lot of lines in it. I saw this YouTube video on how to do it but it requires ImageReady TUTORIAL-Add video to your Photoshop images and graphics! - YouTube. I don't have the Photoshop to ImageReady button in my PS....HELP! How do I get this done?!?!?

That tutorial is extremely old. ImageReady was last used in CS2. In other words that program no longer exists.
Luckily video made its way into photoshop so you can easily import your video into photoshop.
Instead of an animation panel, it is now called the timeline panel. When the panel first opens it will ask you if you want an animation or a movie. Choosing movie will reduce the number of layers required down to just 2, one for the movie and one for the TV image. Since this is a timeline, you can split the timeline to remove any portion of the video you do not want or need to add an effect to that area of the timeline. Each time you split the video, it will move it to a new layer for you.
You can still export as an animated gif by using the File>Save As dialog box. or You can export as a movie and choose another video format. Which format and codec you can choose will depend on how many other video apps of Adobe's you also have installed.

    Searched Watermark in Manual
    Adding a Watermark at Export
A watermark is a visible graphic overlay that is applied to an image. Photographers often use watermarks to indicate that images are protected by a copyright and discourage others from inappropriately using their images.
You can import a graphics file and add it to your images as a watermark.
To add a watermark image to your exported images:
1 Select the images you want to export.
2 Choose File > Export > Versions (or press Command-Shift-E).
3 In the dialog that appears, choose Edit from the Export Preset pop-up menu.
4 In the Export Presets dialog, select the export preset you want to use to export your images.
5 Select the Show Watermark checkbox.
6 Click the Choose Image button.
7 Select the image you want to use as a watermark, then click Choose.
8 Choose where you want the watermark to appear on the image from the Position
    pop-up menu.
9 To adjust the opacity of the watermark, drag the Opacity slider to a new position.
10 If you want the watermark to be scaled in proportion to the image’s output size, select the “Scale watermark” checkbox.
11 When you’re satisfied with how your watermark appears in the watermark preview area, click OK.
12 Navigate to the location where you want the exported images placed.
13 Choose a name format for your exported files from the Name Format pop-up menu.
    14 Click Export Versions.
Your files are exported with the watermark you created.
    *Tips for Creating High-Quality Watermarks*
Use the following guidelines to create high-quality watermarks for your images:
Â Save your watermark as a .psd (Photoshop) file with a transparent background.
Â Create multiple sizes of your watermark so that you can select the one that is the best match for the output size of the exported image.
Note: If a watermark file is larger than the image you want to export, Aperture
automatically scales the watermark down to fit the image. (Aperture does not scale watermarks up.)
Â After you create a watermark, save it as part of an export preset so you can reuse it as often as you need.

  • How do you add a link to an image item

I have added an Image Item to a page and want to be able to add a link to that image but dont see any where you can put the link in the Image Item properties

One easy way to do this would be to add an image page, upload your image to the page, then create an html portlet with the appropriate tags to refer to the image and your link.

  • How to I add lines (strokes) to the pieces of a 3-D pie chart

When I select the individual pieces, the stroke option will not let me put a line outline, only choose a color. new to keynote sorry if this is really basic. thanks

Unfortunately, that's one of the things Keynote can't do. If you don't have too many charts, you could try adding strokes manually using the pen in the shapes tool. Sorry for not being able to help.

  • How do I add an outline around an image in Elements 10

I have an image that I created via Elements 10... The main body of the image is black and I am wanting to add a white outline around the image so I can place the image on a black background... Can someone advise how to add an outline including colorizing the outline around the image... Thanks

Depending on what you want, you may need to add some canvas to give the border a place to be (Image>Resize>Canvas Size) but you can just press Ctrl+A/Cmd+A to select all, then go to Edit>Stroke (outline) selection, where you can choose the parameters of the border stroke. You can't choose Outside for the location, though, since that would put it off the canvas entirely where it wouldn't be visible.

  • How do I add a close window button/image

All I want to do: Add a close window button (round/square with an "x" through it) to either one or many html files. I don't see how to do this.
Using RoboHelp 8 HTML and WinXP. Thanks.

Ahh I see now. You are asking where to obtain such an image!
The RoboHelp Gallery doesn't contain one. Sorry. You will need to obtain one from any number of other locations.
You might look at the following link for one possibility.
    Icon Archive
Here are a couple from my own colloection. You might right-click and save as.
There are also a number of packages you may purchase or find. Perhaps the following link will help.
I cannot advise on the legal implications of using said images.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How do I add circular text to an image?

I have successfully cropped/masked a circular image, and now need to add circular text around it. How do I accomplish that?

    Christine,
Basically, you create a circle, then use the Path Type Tool (ClickHold the Type Tool to get to it) and click with it on the circle where you want the typing to start, then start typing.
You may create the circle independently and place it, or you may open the Group in the Layers palette, then click the Clipping Mask, then Object>Path>Offset Path by the distance you want between the mask and the circle, then drag the new circle up so it gets out of the group.
You may wish to use the Paragraph palette (which is with the Character palette) to select Align Center and to click the topmost Anchor Point of the circle to have the type symmetrical from the top.
You may adjust the Type relative to its circle, and thereby its distance from the mask by changing the Baseline Shift (down is negative); it is in the Character Options. You may need to tick Show Options in the flyout.
Terms are shown when you hover.

  • How can I add Disk Templates to My Image Garden

I hope I got the right forum.  I kinda lost and this is my first time here.
Geee  I really hate "My Image Garden"  But I don't know it or how to do things. I scan something, then have to drag it to my desktop then re-name it and file it.  What a pain!
Okay first off, I'm on a 2008 iMac and the printer is the MG6320 black, replacing an old Epson R280.  Loved that one cause I could print 3x5 cards, the Print CD program nad a ton of disk templates.  But Canon never could sell the disc print feature I understand due to some patent issues, but I understand it was sold in Europe with the function.
Well now I got the Canon printer and it does quite nice.  It's wireless on a netwwork of 3 Macs and 1 PC, haha
Anyway okay I found the disk templates.  Oh yea all 3 of them ha ha.  But I have a ton of generic templates on my computer.
Question is can I and how would I be able to add some more disk templates.  Canon support says they don't offer any more templates.
    Thanks
    Allen

Yes, this drove me nuts!!!!  I know how to do all these things and hate all the 'pre-cast' options in Image Garden.
Not sure about templates but I can at last print my own custom-made labels.
I finally found out how to do this by doing a web search.  I found the answer on YouTube - not a Canon site!!!
I prepare my label in Photoshop - sized 12cm x 12cm and save it as a jpeg file in a folder named 'Disc labels'.  This is because Image Garden only likes to look at photos!!!!!
Then, I open the 'print disc' function in the Quick Menu.  I navigate through my folders of photos until I find the disc labels one.
Right click on the label you want and you are offered several options, one of which is 'print disc label'!!!!!!  And - off you go.
You can customise your images, design and text as YOU want them - not as those dreadful templates dictate!
But ..... the Quick Menu has just decided not to work so I am looking for answers in another forum now!!!!!

  • How do I add a caption to multiple images in LR3???

I have a very simple need: To apply captions to multiple photos at once. How do I do this in Lightroom 3 AND PLEASE KEEP IT SIMPLE. There are places that purport to address this question but they in fact do not provide any solution. Thanks in advance.

Folks, I wish this was the answer but it simply is not. I just did exactly what you suggested and nothing is added to anything but the first image I select -- all the others selected remain empty. Not being contrary -- I am on a deadline -- but no, this is not the solution. What am I missing?
