How do I add a watermark to a documnet that is set up in 3 columns I have pages 09

Ok, the first thing you should do is open Pages help, and type in 'master objects', Click on the first/top result "using master objects (repeated Background images). This will open the basic instructions. I can tell you what is not in the help instructions.
You are going to have to click on 'text box' located on the pages menu bar. after the text box opens, type the text you want,select the text, choose the font type/size, and then click on the outside of the text box in order to select it, when you do that the menu bar will change and you will see "opacity" click on that and choose how much, usually trial and error is needed by printing out a few pages first. you can change the angle of the text box by two finger twist on the track pad. after you have customized your watermark and positioned it, follow step 3 in the Pages help instructions.

    Click at bottom of the first page:
    Menu > Insert > Section break
    Click somewhere in the 2nd page (not the header/footer)
    Inspector > Layout > Section > Page Numbers > Start at 1 > Configuration > uncheck use previous headers and footers
    Click into the header or footer of the second page:
    Menu > Insert > Auto Page Numbers…
    If there is anything in the header or footer on the first page that you don't want just select it and delete it.
    If you really wanted to manual place page numbers on each page you will have to use a section break between each and every page. I can't imagine that would be useful.

    Click on one of the Header or Footer fields and you will get a pop-up asking if you want to add page numbers, and a choice of formats.
    You also may use Insert > Page Number.

    You can insert layout breaks to change the number of columns throughout your document. This screenshot is from a newsletter I did in Pages 1/iWork '05, but this function is unchanged.
    You should change your profile information that appears at the bottom of your posts. Mac OS 9 hasn't been a current OS for over 10 years & there is no way to run Pages on it. If you're not sure what version of Mac OS you're using, click the  in the upper left of your menu bar & choose About This Mac.

    In Editor, go to File>process multiple files, and on the right there is an option under "Labels" for Watermark. You need to have the files in a source folder, and point to a destination folder.
    Another option is to use the Horizontal or Vertical type tool, then type the watermark information in the font & color of choice. It will be on its own layer, and can be positioned with the move tool.
    A third option is to make a watermark or signature brush which can be applied efficiently to multiple files.

    You can use the doc.addWatermarkFromText() method as a JavaScript step in an Action.

    The watermark should show up on the photos you Export when you’ve enabled it for a particular Export batch. 
    Some fonts aren’t compatible with watermarking, though, so you might try another font and see if it works better.

    Aperture has a watermark option in the Export Presets. You can use it, if you already have an image file with your signature or other watermark images. Use "Preview" to create a basic signature or watermark image, or any of the more versatile apps TD recommended.
    In Aperture you add a watermark like this:  Make a custom preset by copying one of the presets and add your watermark to it.
    Select the images.
    Use "File > Export"
    In the "Export" dialog set "Export Preset" to "edit"
    In the "Edit" panel select the preset you want to use. Click "+" to make a copy.
    In the copy enable "Show Watermark".
    Click the "Choose Image" button to select your watermark file.
    Click "OK" to close the panel.
    Now set "Export Preset" to your custom preset in "Export" dialog  and save the image.
    Then mail it or import the watermarked copy to Aperture.

    Does anyone know how how to add extra pages to template documents in the new version of Pages which carry over the same formatting, borders, styles etc? In iWorks09, all styles, borders etc just used to carry over to the next page. In the new Pages, this doesn't seem to happen. Unless I'm missing something.
