How do you add additional pages in Pages 09 visual report

I'm trying to create a report in Pages 09 using the Visual Report template. I have over 150 photos to include in the report - 4 to a page. I have two questions. The first one is how do I add pages beyond the 2 on the template. Secondly, is there a way to group all 150 pictures and have them inserted into the document all at once or do I have to drag each one over individually?

If you want more photo pages, select the appropriate template master from the Sections icon on the Toolbar.
You can drag multiple images onto your .pages template but they will come in in a clump.
The whole point of the template is the neat formatted style of the image and you get that by dragging photos individually onto the image placeholders.
Are you using:
Menu > View > Show Media Browser
to drag in your photos? Or are you going straight from the Desktop? Either method works.
In the Desktop you can arrange your images in Icon view and make them large enough to identify and rearrange them into the order you want to bring them in. Line up your .pages template with the open icon view window next to it then just drag over the images into the template with a simple click > slide > drop.

How do I write data back to DSO in visual composer

I have created a model in visual composer that queries on a write-optimised DSO in BI. Basically I have created a form that lists the all the fields (like Quotations,Materials, plants) in vc.
The business requirement is that the users should be able to be create or change the data in the fields through this form and then I should be able to write back the data(material and plant) back to the DSO.
But I dont see any of the services/RFCS/BAPIs listed under SAP_BW system in Visual Composer like they are listed under R/3 systems . By services/BAPIs, I meant APIs like RSDRI_ODSO_MODIFY_RFC or BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA_UC.
What else do I need to configure to see these RFCs in VC.
Please suggest.

Our SAP_BW system is already configured as 'Like R/3 system'.My admin gave my userid read/write permission under systemAdmin->permissions in portal. But I am still not able to view any BAPIs under SAP_BW system in Visual Composer.
Can you please tell me where can I configure my user to have 'View system' permission and does this need to be added in SAP_BW under System Landscape in portal ?

How to write plan data into Transactional Cube from Visual Composer ?

Dear experts,
Visual Composer is very powerfull to build a 'nice-looking' web-report (I think is much better than Web Application Designer in term of freely position the chart/graph/table/selection parameter in anywhere we like. We can't have this flexibility in WAD) plus it also has strong integration to R/3 for posting the transactions via RFC-Enabled Function Module (such as changing customer credit limit, approve PO, approve Sales Order, etc), so that the R/3 user won't even have to know the TrxCode.
In addition to this, I just wondering if VC also capable to write plan data into transactional cube via Write-Enable Query. We can simply insert a BW Query into VC as planning layout (set the edit-mode to "editable") plus having some Wizards to make it more user-friendly and self-explanatory for the users.
But I am not sure how to save the changes back to transactional cube from VC.
Could anyone please kindly advise how to achieve this.
"Seeing is believing" is always my learning method, so I would appreciate some "actioanable" explanation or hints.

Hi Sen,
As far as I know, it's not possible to write data into transactional cubes directly from a table in Visual Composer through standar method, but it's possible to integrate a WAD with your input ready query into a URL element in VC (You can fill entry variables in VC and call WAD dinamically), so it's possible to create a planning application in VC calling dinamically WAD's.
Another way to interact through VC is creating button objects that calls planning sequences (with BAPI calling RSPLS_PLSEQ_EXECUTE). Also can fill variables in VC and pass them to sequence.

The name of thr process is - Process1.
I have a role in the portal -testrole.
I want the above process to be available to the testrole as a workset of the role
How am i to achieve this?

Here is the way to show your process directly under the 'Roles' Tab
1)Go to process in design time and select 'Instantiation' tab
2) Check the box 'Start Process Automatically'.
3) Click generate instantiate url and save it locally somewhere
4) Now go to content administration and create a new iview of type---->
"<b>Web Dynpro Java application - Create iViews from deployed Web Dynpro Java applications</b>"
5) Create a "single full-page iView from each application variant " and click next
6) now select <b>sap.com--->cafeugpuiinst-> com.sap.caf.eu.gp.ui.inst.AInstantiation--->AInstantiation</b>
7) Make the iview and page as it guides you.
8)Now Edit the iView which you have created.
9)Put the "instantiate url" which you got in 'step 3' in 'Application Parameter ' property of iView.
10)Save and generate preview.
That process should open in a new window.
11)Now attach this iView or Page to ypur role or make a workset, attach the iview to workset and add that workset to Role.

I have a requirement where i have to display a infotype in portals.
For this i created transactional iview( tcode:pa20) but i must not display the selection screen for the employees.
When the Employees login and click the link, they should be able their salary structure(infotype:9004) directly.
How to go abt this.

first of all you'll need the Netweaver Developer Studio (NWDS). then you can decide either to develop with PDK an iView or you can create a webdynpro application.
In both cases you'll need additionally an remote-enabled function module (RFM) or bapi that reads your infotype.
another possibility (if you have already ECC6.0), you can write a webdynpro for abap application.

How to make KM document iView use portal theme / styles

Hi,
We're in the process of upgrading our NetWeaver Portal to 7.4 and trying to improve it wherever possible.
We have numerous home pages which appear as the first landing page when a menu item if selected.
These pages are stored as HTML files in KM and rendered as KM Document iViews.
Is there an easy way of making these pages use the portal theme?
Currently we link to our own CSS file which means there can be differences in appearance and if a user selected a different theme (e.g. high contrast), these pages would not change.
I don't see any iView properties that could help.
I did wonder whether we could use Web Page Composer but from a quick test this needs some work to set it up before I can evaluate further.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Is HTML Filter for Portal Stylesheets used for the repository where you are storing the HTML documents? Can you view the source of a document rendered by the KM Document iView? It should have a reference to the portal style sheet.

How to call Java WebDynpro iViews from Portal (Portal Content Directory)

Hello everybody,
I am trying to call a Java WebDynpro iView, which was created within the Enterprise Portal and is stored in the portal content directory (pcd).
I have created an HTML-iView in VC, where I have put in the pcd-link into the default-url field (pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.ppmdc/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.iviews/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.iviews_cprojects/com.sap.pct.cprxrpm.cpr_projects). This iView is calling the cProjects WebDynpro Application. But after I run my model, the portal page is running and running, but nothing happens.
I did the same with transactional iView, which was also created in the Portal before. I have also created an HTML-iView in VC, where I have put in the pcd-link into the default-url field (pcd:portal_content/IBU_content/SAP_for_Service_Provider/com.sap.pct.issp.ps.professional_services/com.sap.pct.issp.prs.iviews/com.sap.pct.issp.prs.display_sd). This is working fine!
What I also tried is to call another VC-Model with an HTML-iView. Here I have put-in into the default-url field the pcd-location of my VC-model (pcd:portal_content/IBU_content/SAP_for_Service_Provider/com.sap.pct.issp.vcmodels/com.myComp.myProduct.1DM9.CreateEngagement/com.myComp.myProduct.iviews/com.myComp.myProduct.1G62.Cprojects_neu). This is also running fine!
Now I do not understand the difference between this three objects. There are all iViews within the portal but the WebDynpro iView is not callable through a HTML-iView in VC.
Could you help me in this case? Your help is very appreciated!

when you mean the preview within the portal, yes, it is working fine.
URL is not the way to solve my problem. I am working with IDES-Systems. This is our Demo System within SAP. I have to build my VC-Model in a Master IDES-System which will be transported than into the other IDES-Systems. The URL of the WD is not the same in the other systems. It is changing depending on the several Sysems. But the pcd-location is in all systems the same. Therefore I have to specify the pcd-location of the application.
Is there a restriction with WD within VC?
If we can do some kind of a netmeeting, I can show you my problem exactly.

How do you add pictograph favorites to font selection when composing mail messages?

I located the desired symbols from the "Characters" selection when I chose the Format menu and opened the gear symbol on the bottom lefthand of the pulldown menu. Now I do not understand how to place these "Favorite" symbols I identified placed into my Font selection for easy access or use when composing mail messages.

How do I add a signature not only to newly composed mail but, to reply emails?

I created a signature and I see it being applied to new emails but, not to my reply emails. Is there a way of including it in my replies as well?

'Tools' > 'Account Settings' > 'Composition & Addressing' for the mail account
* select 'Automatically quote the original message when replying'
* select: then 'start my reply above the quote' or other option
* select: and place my signature 'below my reply(above the quote) or other option
* select 'Include signature for replies'
* select: 'Include signature for forwards'
* click on OK to save changes

Add iView to Portal favorites

I need to add some iViews to portal favorites area, that means the portal favorites must be a static list of portal favorites for a group of people.
Is this possible in EP v.7.0?

Hi,
The Portal favorites iView is just a KM navigation iView with layoutset: PortalFavoritesExplorer and that points to the folder: /alias/userhome/<user.id>/favorites.
So you can do with it whatever you like. Copy it, change the folder it points to etc..

When you create and deploy a VC application, the deployed iView/s are automatically created in the portal under the folder that you have specified (in VC Tools> Compiler options>portal deployment), or by default under Content Administration>Portal Content>Visual Composer folder.
Check this for your BI, VC and Portal requirement:
