How do I add attachments to a Captivate 7 eLearn?

Articulate has an Attachments button in the player window.  In Captivate 7 -   I want the user to click a button and the attachments window appears for them to download a document/PDF.
I can not find anything in Captivate to add that into the eLearn.  I know that I can create a click box to hyperlink to another site but I actually want the document embedded into the eLearn similar to how Articulate has the ATTACHMENTS button and you can decide which file to download.
Any guidance will help alot!  I don't want to switch this eLearn to Articulate.
Cathy

While it's not a built-in feature, you could probably get the same result with a little bit of creativity.
I haven't tried it, but you could probably make a text caption or smart shape with the text links formatted as you want, putting it on the first slide set to show for all slides, not visible upon viewing the project. Then you could make a smart shape button, also set to show for all slides, that show/hides the text caption/smart shape with an advanced action.
(Obviously you'd still have to do as Rick says, and make sure the linked document(s) are in the right place when you publish your project. )

  • "PC" user with new IPAD2 w/3G.  How do you add attachments (pictures, links, documents) when you are creating a new e-mail?

Just recently purchased an IPHONE4 for myself and an IPAD2 w/3G (16 GB) for my wife.  Our provider is Verizon.  It's a struggle as we both have a lifetime of experience in the "windows" worlds.  It probably is something very obvious to users familiar with Apple's products but we need to know how, in creating a new e-mail, how do you attach an existing document, or photo or a link (for example, if I wanted to show the Google directions I looked up in Maps, how would I show this link in the new e-mail I'm creating?
I see when I'm in Camera Roll, I can touch the "curved arrow to the right" at the top which gives you a cafeteria of choices (Email Phote, Print, Copy Photo etc...).  Is this the only way to attach?  In other words you start from the attachment or link or photo and work towards the choices (email)?
Further, on an existing e-mail received and you want to forward that e-mail on with comment, again, wanting to attach a photo to this forwarding e-mail...how do you do that?
Just trying to fully understand the direction we need to go when wanting to do this.
    Appreciate your response!
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jim (and Mary)

    Jim (and Mary)-
Try this:  press both the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time.  That should take a screen shot of your maps.  Go to the Photos App and click on that screen shot.  Click on the right-turn arrow at the top of the page.  You will see options that include Email and to Copy.  Choose Copy.  Press the Home button and then the Mail App.  Press and hold where you want the photo to go in the message.
When I tried this using the iPad's Maps App, the image pasted into the Email was larger than I expected.  If you are accessing Google Maps via Safari, you may be able to press and hold on the map, and choose to Save Image.  You can try it both ways to see if one is a better fit.

  • How do you add attachments when using Compuserve Email

I'm trying to attach data files to a Compuserve (Reply) Email and I cant seem to locate the mechanism to do so

I'm trying to do this, too - I've never used an iPad, it's my wife's, so I have no idea whatsoever how it works. (It's new, so she isn't much the wiser either.)
I've created a pdf file on my MacBook and emailed it to her. Where is it on her iPad? Can she save it onto the Desktop? Into a folder? If she then wants to send it to someone else, from what I understand (above) it has to be sent from within the app (whatever that app may be). How do we do that? Where do we click? It has to be attached to an email, of course, so the recipient knows whats' going on - how is that done? Is there a manual...?
Sorry to sound so ignorant, but I haven't a clue...

  • How to add attachments in pdf -URGENT

    Hi All,
I need information about how to add attachments to pdf in webdynPro. I am unable to find related topics in Forums. Sample code, examples,or suggestions would be helpful.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi,
Please take a look at: Add attachments to the Interactive form of a Web dynpro application
Please take a look at my reply there on Mar. 29, 2007. I am not sure but i assume that you are using Web Dynpro for Java. Attachment capability is available with NW04s SP10 (both runtime and NWDS). Although, SP09 contains the required web dynpro runtime changes but the API has only been made part of SP10. Follow the note numbers provided therein.

  • How to add attachments to a mail

    Hi experts!!
I've been looking for a solution of the problem that I have through this forum but I haven't found anything that I can use in order to add attachments documents to the e.m.a.i.l.
I'm trying to add a file using the followings FM, LIST FROM MEMORY, TABLE COMPRESS but when I go to SCOT transaction the file attached is empty... I don't really know how to use this FM, I think my problem is that I can't attached correctly the table in memory and when I call List_FROM_MEMORY FM, it doesn't receive anything... is there any place where I have to put the path where the file is?
I'm using the FM SO_OBJECT_SEND in order to send the mail
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Rebeca

    Hello Rebecca,
i would use the FM "SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1".  There are quite a lot of Explanations how to use this FMs in the Internet.  I would almost say this is the FM you got to use. =) Just google around and you'll find some good examples.

  • How to add "Add Attachments" button to PDF form in Acrobat?

    Hi,
I am using Adobe Acrobat X Standard for creating a PDF form. I want to add an "Add Attachments" button to my form. Is it possible to do it in Acrobat? If so could someone please help me with the javascript? Also, if possible I would like to check the total attachment size and inform the user if it exceeds, say 10MB. The user will be submitting the form via email so I want to cap the attachment size.
I found this example, but I don't know how to view the javascript used: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3991644
    Your help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    S.P

Please keep the conversation in one topic. It's impossible to do what you want with Acrobat so I'm locking this thread - please wait for a response to your question in the LiveCycle forum.
