How do I add audio to a section of a movie?

Question in title.
I want to add a music trackj from iTunes into my movie, but not however long the track is, just the clip/section I want it in on the movie.

Drag the whole audio clip from your iTune library to your event.  Then select the part you wat to use and drag it under you timeline.   You cn alternatively drag the whole clip under you timeline, select it and then trim it down to the part you want.

How do I add audio books to my shuffle

If this is a 4th (or 3rd) gen shuffle, and you use automatic syncing for loading songs...  Select the shuffle in iTunes.  There is a row of "tabs" (buttons) starting with Summary.  Click on Books there.  This is the Books tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync audiobooks to the shuffle.  Set it up as desired, and click Apply.
NOTE:  If your shuffle is currently NOT set up for automatic syncing, its content will be replaced by content selected in the sync settings.
If you are NOT using automatic syncing for songs, so you have been loading songs manually by dragging them to the shuffle in iTunes, then you should NOT do the above.  Instead, you can load audiobooks the same way.  Drag the books you want to the shuffle from your Books library in iTunes.
If this is a 1st or 2nd gen shuffle, it is different.  Please post back.

  • HT4059 How can I add audio to my ibook title page?

How do I add audio to the Title page of an ebook I am creating with ibook author?

Everytime I add an audio file to the iWeb page a "Drop Image Here" appears with the audio control. Is there a way to eliminate the box for the image?
If you don't put a picture in the area and publish all you'll get on the published page is the controller as shown here: Embedtests.
You do know that if a visitor click on the small downward pointing triangle at the right of the control bar you get the option to download the file, right?
However, having a download link to a zipped file as Riddy suggested would be more apparent to those who might not know about that feature.

  • How to SIMPLY add audio crossfade between two clips ?

Tried to make a simple cut edit for tv news.
How to add an audio crossfade between two clips to soften transition ?
Detach audio, then create audio only scenario, then add transition ? Unusable.
When importing 8 tracks from Xdcam HD, how do you choose wich audio track to add your transition to ?
Also, impossible to re-export to Xdcam disk on the field.
This piece of software is simply unusable in real life pro conditions. Some very nice features, globally a disaster.

First thank you all for taking time to reply.
I found these solutions myself but for me these are only workaround.
In Fcp7, you just had to drag and drop dissolve transition to clips junctions TO AUDIO TRACK ONLY. Very quick and simple. In Fcpx, it is very time consuming if you want to add audio crossfade to every clip junction in a full project. That's really not a software evolution in my opinion...
I think "easy transitions to audio tracks only" has to be implemented in next version.
    Thanks again !

  • How do I add audio to a button?

Basically, that is it.  I have a picture that upon clicking navigates the user to a different screen.  Can I also add a sound so that it plays one time when the user clicks that picture to navigate to a different screen?
I saw a similar question about music on a loop in the background, but that is not exactly what I was looking for and I was unable to make the leap to answering my question.
    I appreciate the help.

    Robin,
I really appreciate the reply.  I am still having some issues and I was hoping you could walk me through it.
    To add audio I -
-Pull the "Visuals" menu out on the right.
-Select "Audio Player" with headphones as its icon.
-Select the "Media" icon that is now available on the bottom left.
    -An audio window is inserted
    -Select that audio window
-Select "Express View" on the bottom right.
When I select DefaultPaused and try to enter audioPaused as an option it doesn't allow it.  It appears then as an error.
    What am I doing wrong?

  • Finder media encoder, how can I add audio formats support?

I've noticed the feature where if you right click on a media file, you get an option in the popup menu to encode the file to some Apple-friendly format, I suppose.
I am trying to find a way to enhance this program's support for audio formats. I have tons of music in FLAC and a little bit in other formats like OGG and -gosh- wma, and I'd rather convert them with a native, Apple-written app than with anything else.
Any clues as to how we can enhance this Encoder feature's support for audio formats?

Many video and audio files can be added to keynote slides using the Insert Media browser - the sounds and videos need to be in a format recognized by iPad and need to be placed in the browser via iPhoto then synched to the iPad using iTunes. Sound files can be created using Garageband or Quicktime and appear as movies in the browser so it is best to place them in a separate album with descriptive names.
If you would like Apple to add additional features, give them somme feedback:

  • Opened FCP Clip In STP . . . Now How Do I Add Audio Tracks?

I have opened an FCP 6 video clip in STP and the video and 2 audio tracks are facing me.
I want to get rid of the clip's audio tracks and replace them with tracks on which I am going to create a musical background.
I am not concerned about deleting the original audio tracks as I can mute them back in FCP but I would like to add some new tracks for the music.
It was dead simple in the old Soundtrack 1.5 but how do I do it in STP ?

I'm on STP 2.0.2 and page 409 doesn't seem to have anything relevant but your sentences do!
I tried "Send to STP Multitrack Project" and that seems to fit the bill.
So why didn't I try it earlier? I made an assumption . . . . . I assumed that "multitrack" was synonymous with "multicam" and as I wasn't exporting a multicam file, it would not be appropriate.
It's not the first time I have been tripped up by terminology.
Thanks for nudging me in the right direction, Paul.

  • How to manually add audio book to the ipod

How do I manually add an audiobook to my ipod?

First make sure your iPod is set to manually manage by enabling the Manually manage music and videos option from under the iPod's Summary tab.  Once you have done this, you can manually click and drag the audiobook and its tracks over to your iPod from under the Devices section in the lefthand pane of iTunes.

  • How can I add audio files manually to my iphone when iTunes match is turned on?

I use iTunes match, and after resolving the debacle after updating to iOS 6 listed here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19623582#19623582 it seems to be working fine. My problem is as follows:
I have a series of audio files (lecture recordings) that have been uploaded to iTunes match (and so appear on my phone), but of which I also still have the actual files on my computer harddrive. These specific files will neither stream nor download from iTunes match on my phone (and did not before the update to iOS6 either). They play fine, however, on iTunes on my computer. Before the update I was able to get around this problem by manually dragging the files from my computer harddrive to the connected iPhone within iTunes. I no longer have the option of doing this - any attempted dragging of files onto the iPhone results in them simply 'bouncing back.' This is true not just of these files, but also of all other music files, including those which are listed in iTunes as being 'ineligible' for iTunes Match, and so are not represented on the iPhone at all.
    Thank you for any help!

iTune Match is now considered a streaming service, with the optional download option. You cannot use iTunes to transfer songs anymore and need to use it exclusively on the device.
You also cannot download single files anymore, only albums and artist is supported.
The only workaround I've found was to click the cloud button for the album, and cancel all songs I don't want before they download.

  • How can I add typography to a section of speech in iMovie?

I have a spoken track and I would like the words to appear, as they are spoken on the track. I am, however, encountering difficulties trying to do this, without making incredibly difficult.

Final Cut Pro X is a professional video editing app. It allows third party plugins that will do closed captioning.
In iMovie, there is no simple way to do this, but a quick and dirty way to do it would be to create your text in Keynote on a green screen background. Then save the Keynote presentation as a QuickTime movie with Timed Advance. Import this quicktime movie into iMovie using FILE/IMPORT MOVIE. Then you can use it with your movie as a green screen effect. However, using this method, it may be difficult to get the timing right.
Here is a sample of using Keynote with iMovie in this way.

  • How do i ADD a file type (such as Quicktime mov) that is NOT listed in the Content Type list?

All the instructions I find when searching for how to ADD a file type just explain how to manage how Firefox handles that file type. And that is not possible when the file type is not in the list.

Usually MOV is played by the QuickTime plugin. Some other plugins also may handle MOV. This is handled by entries in a hidden database, but you can view the contents if you type or paste about:plugins in the address bar and press Enter.
In looking at your plugins list under "More System Details" I don't see QuickTime. Is it disabled (set to "never activate") on the Add-ons page? Missing?
