How do I add background music to selected slides?

How can I can add background music to selected slides only? Also, when I add recorded voice to selected slides, the presentation starts from the slide from which the recording started and not from the first one of the presentation. Are there answers to both these questions?

Gilda,
The only way to add selected music/voice narration to individual slides is to place the audio files on the individual slides and set a build to Start Audio or Start Movie.
Music files can either be from your Media Browser Audio or from other files that are in your Finder. Simply drag and drop on the slide. Select the audio object on the slide to assign Satrt Audio/Movie builds.
To crate Narration Files to be placed on a slide, an easy way to do this is to use your Quicktime Player > File > New Audio Recording > record your voice-over and save it. Then drag it onto your slide and then Build Inspector > Build In > Start Audio/Movie > Open the Options Drawer and set the start to mouse click or automatic.
Adding an audio file to the entire presentation via the Slide Inspector > Audio Well will make music play across all slides.
This information and more can be found in the downloadable Keynote '09 User Guide available from your Keynote Help Menu.

  • How do you add background music to a DVD chapter menu in iDVD?

I just need to add background music to a DVD menu-the main menu
    thanks

Just to cover the bases, did you check the audio slider bar to the lower right of the iDVD menu screen to make sure that the sound is turned up, or check the menu slider bar for audio in the Menu pane?
Is your song in aiff format?
Sometimespermissions and preferences can get corrupted. Whenever iDVD starts acting funny, a common maintenance procedure is to do the following: Delete preferences by closing iDVD and trashing the file com.apple.iDVD.plist found in User (the House icon)/Library/Preferences. Then do a permissions repair usingthe Utilities/Disk Utility App on your Mac. Open the Disk Utilities window and select the Mac hard drive icon at the top of the side pane at the left. Then click on the Repair Permissions button. When you have repaired permissions and deleted preferences, restart your computer and launch iDVD. iDVD will replace the .plist file that you deleted. Be sure also that you have sufficient free disk space on your hard drive for iDVD to function correctly. 25GB often is recommended by users of this forum. After doing all of the above, relaunch iDVD and see whether you still have the problem.

  • Once you add background music, but then want to change it, how do you delete background music?

Oncxe you add background music to i-movie, then want to change it, how do you delete audio clip?

If you are referring to music you added to the timeline in iMovie simply click the green audio clip to select it. Once it has a yellow border around it you can use the delete key on keyboard or the edit->cut menu command. Now drag in your new audio file as you did on the original.
If you are referring to background music that was in the original video file then place your cursor over the middle of the green audio waveform below the video and a double arrow will appear. Hold down your left mouse button and drag down to mute the audio. You can now drag in your new audio from iTunes and drop it below the video, dragging it to where you want it in the timeline.

How do I add purchased music to my ipod?  I do not like this new itunes update and find it very confusing.

If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

No one here will help you violate iTunes terms of service or steal music.

I have new iphone and all data were restored but my music! How can I add my music from Itunes and new iphone?

Connect the old phone to your computer, right click on it in iTunes, and choose Transfer Purchases. That should put all of your music in iTunes except any tracks that were not purchased from iTunes. If you have any such you will have to retrieve them from the original source, or see: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141.
Apple also has this tip for copying data from an old phone to a new one.

  • How do I add a music file to the playlist I made in iTunes for my iPhone4?

Apple Tech suggested I make a Playlist for tunes I wanted to play on my iPhone 4, syncing the list to the iPhone 4. But I cannot figure out how to add tunes to this list I made once. I try to drag and drop from my iTunes library, directly on top of this Playlist, but itunes refuses to copy the file to the list. Apple told me not to add music files by manually dropping them on the iPhone4 in iTunes. They specifically said to not do this any longer. So I tried to drop them on the Playlist, but no joy.
Once I have made a Playlist for the iPhone 4, and synced to the list, how does one ADD any songs to this Playlist?

Nevermind. In the iTunes Area I can drag and drop tunes onto the iTunes playlist I made, but NO I can't drag and drop to a synced list in the iPhone area of iTunes. Reason is that it only represents the list I sync to in iTunes.
I did download a Doug Script where I can add files from one play list to another which is neat. Donated some cash for it.

  • How do I add itunes music to a second computer

I just purchased a new Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and I have downloaded ITunes to it.  I have ITunes on our desktop PC at home.  I have also added the new Surface Pro 3 to "home sharing".  BUT, how do I get the music already showing on my desktop version of ITunes onto my Surface Pro 3?

Thanks!  I chose Home Sharing, and that added all the various songs, albums, and playlists to the new PC.
BUT, this did not solve my problem.  The new Surface Pro 3 is going to be used as a travel PC to take with us when away from home.  The Home Sharing ONLY seems to work while both PCs are on, and ITunes is open on both.  When we are traveling, the home PC will not be on.
Is there some way to permanently add the songs to my new Pro 3?  The instructions you sent seems to say there is NOT, and that I would have to have a CD or external drive.  Could I somehow download the ITunes Library to a flash drive, and then plug it into the Pro 3 when I wanted to access ITunes?
