i dont have internet access all the time and would like to listen to my music without it.... but i cant seem to add music to the actual ipad instead of just streaming off of icloud
You need to explain in a little more detail what you are doing. Your statement makes it sound like there is something else going on such as you are using iTunes Match. Is that correct? Or if you are trying to download songs in the cloud, once you fully download them to the device, they will reside on the device in the music app and there is no need for internet access.

icloud does not handle music, except for letting you download music you previously bought at the iTunes store. For music, get it into iTunes on your PC, then connect your devices to the PC and using iTunes to sync it to them. Not sure about Apple TV. I think that might require buying a subscription to iTunes Match.

ThanksThat's not an option with iWeb. You can add a song to the photos page that will play automatically (and loop if desired) that would continue to play when the viewer clicks on the slideshow button. This demo page has such a setup.
I don't remember if Cyclosaurus (our resident javascript expert) had posted a solution via javascript and an HTML snippet. You might search the entire iWeb forums for posts by Cyclosaurus with a topic of slideshow music or something similar.

I can do it one at a time by click on the music file then find the actual music file and it relinks.But I need to do this to 300 files. How do I do a group relink. These file are all from cds that have imported into itunes. You used to be able to do a group relink now it only lets you do one at a time
Are all your media files in the same place, or do you keep them in different places on your hard-drive.
For group batching, I've simply gone to the Preferences and set my iTunes library location to the folder where all my media files live. It will crank through the folder and add anything that is not added yet.
The other thing to do is to clear out your iTunes off all media, then drag-and-drop the 300 files into it to relink the lot. -
Had 3G, moved to 3GS. Backed up 3G and restored 3GS from backup with no problem on a Dell computer. But now when I want to add songs, I get itunes message of death that the new iphone is synced to another computer and now wants to erase everything. How can I add music without erasing everything on my new iphone?
Yes, I was aware of this but the phrase "Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library." is what worries me. Will this eliminate my Notes, Calendar Events, etc or will it apply mostly just to the music?

Reboot your computer. In iTunes go to View menu. Does it say Hide Sidebar? If it does look the iPhone in the left sidebar in iTunes.
If it says Show Sidebar and you still don't see the iPhone on the upper right try choosing Show Sidebar and look on the left.

Title says it all. When my phone is connected, iTunes freezes when I have the audacity to click the file button. When my phone is unplugged, I add music to the library, either by folder, or by file, and nothing happens. I just updated to a new version this morning, I don't know why i ever agree to that, it's always a mistake. How can they keep making the program worse? I don't get it.
If you put the music section of the library in songs view ordered by date added descending do you see any of the material you tried to add at the top of the list? Have you tried using the <Media Folder>\Automtically Add to iTunes folder to add media?
As for the iPhone have you reviewed this support document, not withstanding that iTunes might display the device? TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows.
Have you considered (or recently performed) a complete tear down and rebuild of iTunes? See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

I think your teacher was referring to iTunes match. It's $25 a year. Which really when you think about it is only $2 a month. Not bad but as a student I know that still quite a bit. I'm currently trying to figure out a way outside using iTunes Match myself. I'd be very surprised if there was a way since the iPad says it supervised meaning that it can only be allowed to be managed by one computer. Pretty much just a bum deal on your end. If you have purchases you can obviously go through iTunes>purchases and download from there.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.
