  • How can I add RSS feeds to Mail in Mountain Lion?

There is no longer an option in mail in the File menu, to add RSS feeds to Mail.  When I am in Safari and click on the "Reader" button it gives me directions to go to mail, and click "Add RSS Feed" in the File menu but that option is not there when I am in Mail.  Any suggestions?

  • How do I add RSS feeds into my website (created in Muse)?

Hi i am redoing a website for a client and previously the website was created in Wordpress (I pressume) and I am now working in Adobe Muse. Previsouly they had a simple text based RSS feed from various websites displayed in columns on their site. Now they want that again, but I am new to muse and website designing and need some help, I do not even know if my terminology is correct.
Maybe I should describe what I want: I want the headlines of posts from other independant sites to appear as a clickable link on my site with the date under it. and as new articles is posted on these outside websites, my "Interesting links" coloumn on my website must also update....
I hope I am making myself clear...
    thanks a mil

  • How to Export Mail RSS feeds to another reader

How do I go about exporting RSS feeds I have in Mail into another reader like NetNewsWire?
    Thanks.

    Hi Purple Cat,
Have you considered using New New Wire as a bridge between google reader and apple mail?
    1) download NetNewsWire
    2) configure NetNewsWire as default RSS reader
    3) open NetNewsWire
    4) Enable Assentive Devices
    5) run terminal command to add RSS feed to NetNewsWire
    6) verified correct feed to add in NewNewsWire
    7) synced with google reader.
    1) NetNewsWire download, put in applications folder.
2)open safari, go to safari menu, click preferences, when preferences open chose RSS. Set the pulldown menu default RSS reader to NetNewsWire
    3) open NetNewsWire, make sure it's open, with no dialog box being displayed.
    4) open system preferences, Click on Universal Access, check "enable access to assisted devices"
    4) Open terminal, paste in the fallowing command, then press return:
    IFS=$'\n';for i in $(find ~/Library/Mail/RSS/ -name "Info.plist");do open $(grep "<string>http://" $i | sed "s/.*\(http[^<]*\).*/\1/;s/http/feed/"); osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to keystroke return'; sleep 20; done; say done;
NOTE: while this command runs do not click on any thing. it will take about 20 seconds between adding each RSS feed. if your speakers are on and your volume loud enough, you should hear the computer say 'done' after adding all the RSS feeds.
    5) in NetNewsWire verify all the RSS are good to go, remove any you do not wish to add to google reader.
    6) when your sure your ok to have the feed in NetNewsWire added to google reader:
in netnewswire go to preferences, click on the syncing icon, put in your google user name and password, Click Merge Subscriptions button, Then check "sync with google reader.

  • Problems with rss feeds in Firefox.

When i enter an rss feed url into firefox, it automatically switches to safari to open the url.  Firefox is my default browser; I am trying to set up rss feeds in Firefox.  How do I prevent this from happening so that these urls will open in Firefox?

  • How do i manage rss feeds within fire fox

i see no way to create rss folders so that i can manage many rss feeds from different web sites. there is the latest headlines button on the favorites bar (which came loaded with bbc) but i have no idea how to manage this as one would a standard rss feed reader.
As well; i don't know what the next up button is? how it works or how to manage?

RSS feeds are loaded from a server via an XML file with the feed items. You can't edit that list. All you do is to create a bookmark with the feed URL by visiting the feed page.
You can find the RSS feed (Subscribe) button in the toolbar palette in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window and drag the button on a toolbar.

    Hi InvinsibleSach,
    Try this.
On this message thread first do the following:
Topic Options (just above your first post)
Subscribe to This Topic's RSS Feed
That will open a new window.
Take note of the URL in that new address bar.
    (/discussions/rss/message?board.id=maemo&message.id=14252)
    Now on your N900:
    Menu
    RSS
+ symbol at bottom left of screen
Type the address you noted before into the text field.
    (/discussions/rss/message?board.id=maemo&message.id=14252)
    Done
    I hope this helps.

  • How do I Delete RSS Feeds?

I subscribed to NBC News a couple days ago. They send way too much mail. I've gone to their emails and clicked unsubscribe but I still get their emails. I looked into their help and was advised to go to my browser to unsubscribe to RSS Feeds. How do I do this with Mozilla Firefox?

hello, this doesn't sound like a rss-feed (you can add & delete them in firefox like normal bookmarks, see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Live_Bookmarks_-_Firefox]).
in case you can't remove an email-subscription, please contact the sender of the messages or add them to the spam-filter in your mail-account. this isn't really an issue that firefox support can solve...

  • How to use iweb rss feed in an iphone web app?

So this is my dilemma.  I wanted my iweb turned into a web app using the rss feed.
This is simply done cause of the "Add To Homescreen" feature.
While the RSS feed works beautifully on safari... it does not read as a webapp.
This surprised me cause I thought it would still be safari that would be loading my web app.
I tried everything to get my RSS feed to work in a web app but i failed miserably.
Is there a fix for this?

Adding to the homescreen doesn't make it a webapp.
It creates a shortcut to the webpage, just as dragging a url to the desktop creates a .webloc file.
    You want an iWeb "webapp"?
Add this page to the homescreen and then click that icon :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Demo/Fancy/Dynamic_Text.html
Then click the links in the dynamic textboxes.
I leave it to you to figure out how it's done. Hint : read the documentation.
To summarize : you want a fix for a problem that does not exist.

  • RSS Feeds and Firefox

Im fairly new to RSS and I've just recently set up a few RSS feeds in Apple Mail...but I'm a little confused though. I thought you could actually read the article right within the Mail application. However, Mail only gives the headings and a link to "Read More". If this can't be fixed, I have no problem with that, but I would like to know how to change what browser opens up when I click on the "Read More" link. Right now, Safari opens up, but I would like to have Firefox open up instead...
    Thanks!

  • How do I insert RSS feed from my blogspot to my iWeb?

    Hi Guys,
Really need some help here. I'm new to iWeb. I have been blogging using Blogspot.com.
Right now, I would like to get RSS feed from my blog and display it in the iWeb. How should I do it?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

Hello Kenny welcome to the forum.
    Create a hyperlink to yoursite.com/RSSfeedpath.xml.
There's info on Google if you search for RSS icon in address bar where you can add a code into the head section of your html page post-publish to have RSS icon in addressbar that when clicked displays the RSS feed.
You can also place an iframe code into an iWeb snippet to embed the rss file into your page but instead of http use feed:// so the iframed URL looks like this:
    feed://website.com/RSSfeedpath.xml

  • How can I transfer RSS feeds from one PC to another?

I have an old laptop using WinXP with Firefox installed and a significant number of RSS feed tabs.
I have a new laptop using Win7 Home Premium 64-bit with Firefox installed. I now want to copy the collection of RSS feeds on my old laptop to my new laptop.
    Thank you!

You can backup the bookmarks to an HTML file and import that file in the new laptop.<br />
You will have to remove the unwanted bookmarks and only keep or copy/move the RSS feed bookmarks to the folder where you want them.
