How do I add settings to multiple source?

Hi Everyone.
I have about 10 sources that I bring over from Final Cut Pro into one project.
I select all my sequences and export to compressor. When they import into compressor, they are all still highlighted and if I add a setting compressor will apply that setting to all the sources. However, they dehighlight (if that's a word). From then on I have to apply settings one at a time to each source.
For instance. Destination. I have to apply that to each source even thought the destination is the same location for each source. If I highlight all of them again and apply new settings it only affects one source.
How do I get it to affect all sources?

You going about it the right way. You just might be clicking in the wrong spot. Once you've selected all the sources right click on one of the sources (not an output setting) and choose your destination from the contextual menu.

You should be able to select the top track in a list and then hold down the shift key and click on the bottome of the list. Or you could use select all from the edit menu to select all the tracks in a play list/library.

Apply Interpret Footage settings to multiple sources at the same time.

How do you use scripts? And how would can I achieve the above using a script?
I need to be able to do this so when I choose the "Broadcast - H.264 - NTSC DV Widescreen" preset that I don't have black bars on the sides. Even though our camera's are Widescreen the AJA card we use to capture our mix records in 4:3 aspect ratio.

Figured it out, without scripting. In the program select the sources only then you can set all of them at the same time.

How to sync Firefox settings between multiple OS's on one computer or multiple computers

I have three OS's on a single computer (XP SP3, WIN7 & WIN8. Each OS has it's own Firefox install and of course, different settings in each since they are all handled separately, I have no idea how to synch the user-data from all three different Firefox installations. My goal is to be able to boot up in any of the OS's and have the same user settings/details across all three.
Once I get that figured out, then I can try to find a way to synch Thunderbird across all three OS's so that mail collected or sent in one OS is shared or synched with Thunderbird on the other two OS's.
It's probably a tall order and not possible to accomplish, but if I don't ask then I'll never know.

& for keeping your mails synced it's possibly the easiest way to use a mail-provider that offers IMAP, which keeps the mails on the server so that your mail program on any OS has the same data when it's connecting...

Hi, I'm the developer of IPA Palette. Stumbled on this question only a moment ago and thought I'd address it for the record. I don't now recall whether installing Lion clobbered my existing IPA Palette installation or not. In any case, I can with high confidence state that IPA Palette has been tested on Lion and works well, so re-installing would be the recommended way to try to get it back in play.

In Garageband, how does one add silence between multiple music sections on 1 single track?

Currently I have a bunch tracks that need to be exported in order for the mixing engineer to mix in his Protools program.
Problem: I did a lot of cutting and pasting with in the tracks. So there are spaces in a track that need silence added, so that when I export them into protools, all the tracks start at 0 (Time) and end at 3 minutes and 54 seconds.
What is the most efficient way to add this silence and ensure that every track is 3 minutes and 54 seconds long?

The duplication is unnecessary. Exporting creates a duplicate of the file. So now you'll have a duplicate of a duplicate. Exporting is not "working on" a file.
No it's not merging, it's exporting from one to the Finder and into another. No matter what lose something. If you export the Original you leave behind all the work you've done in iPhoto. If you export anything else, you lose the non-destructive editing and the ability to revert to the original. With merging you preserve that work. Yes, you can trash the old Library when you have completed the manoevre but no it's not the same thing as merging.

has details of the options in the Export dialogue. But in brief:
Current gets you the iPhoto Preview, used for sharing via media browsers. It's a jpg, medium quality missing metadata. Original gets the file you imported, unchanged and then you can export different version of the current version at different qualities. If you choose to export anything except the Original you do not get a Raw. There's no such thing as an "edited Raw", and you lose the connection between the original and the exported version. That means you've taken a non-destructive workflow and turned it into a destructive one.
The Tiff will certainly be higher qulaity and less likely to suffer generational loss in future editing but the file sizes are vast, often more than 10 times the size of the jpeg.
Put it this way, it would be cheaper to buy Library Manager than the disk you'll need to contain all the Tiffs. Unless you plan on a lot of editing, I'd go for a high quality jpeg as a reasonable compromise.

So, I guess my new question is, how can I edit the Raw image and keep it in a RAW format that IPhoto recognizes so that I can reprocess without any loss at a future time, or is it that once you edit a RAW image, then it is no longer a RAW image?

I am facing an issue of loading master data text into 0Material. I have loaded attribute data from 2 source systems. But i am not able load text data from the same 2 source systems as i am not able to see 0logsys in transfermation rules of 0MATERIAL.

Hi,
I dont think that you need the source system info here, texts are mapped to attributs and attributs to source systems.
so try to load simply:
material key, text, lang (optional)

i'm making a project, and i almos finished, but when i made a preview, i can't change the text size; i want to add that setting to my book, i mean that option on the right top corner where you can change the text size and background color. Thanks for your help

Not available in iBooks Author. Available options are brightness slider, book search and bookmark.
Set your font size higher than default if you have concerns.
I have to say, I have not checked the portrait templates yet...which are more likely to be used for flowing text only books, but knowing Apple, I doubt they will have the option either.

How do I add an input source besides English in Gnome Shell? [SOLVED]

Hello.
I'm a bit confused as to how I should add additional languages/input sources in Gnome Shell. When I ran Gnome Shell in Ubuntu, I could add additional input sources via the Region & Language section of the Gnome control panel, but in Arch I've only got English (my locale is en_US.UTF-8). I'd like to be able to switch between English & Hebrew.
Do I need to install an underlying gnome package for handling additional input sources? Or do I need to manually add a locale? The wiki seems unclear on this. Also, should I use localectl? I'm also a bit unsure there.

BMM - Decision criteria on how to define LTS for a multi-source object

I am curious to know what others use as their decision criteria when determining how to setup a BMM logical table that has multiple sources that map to multiple columns in the logical table.
For example,
If you have defined logical table Dim - Customer in the BMM that has 4 fields:
Dim - Customer
Customer Id
Customer Name
Customer Address
Customer Phone
The sources for this logical table from the physical layer are:
CUSTOMER (all customers exist here)
CUSTOMER_ADDRESS (A customer may or may not have an address, but can have only one address to simplify this conversation)
CUSTOMER_PHONE (A customer may or may not have a phone, but can have only one phone to simplify this conversation)
Field Mappings from Logical Table to Physical Table are:
Dim - Customer
Customer Id - CUSTOMER
Customer Name - CUSTOMER
Customer Address - CUSTOMER_ADDRESS
Customer Phone - CUSTOMER_PHONE
How would you setup the logical table and LTS's for this object in the BMM knowing the following requirements?:
1. The Address and Phone tables should only be joined in when fields from those tables are used in a report/query.
2. Since a customer may or may not have an address or phone, the BMM table needs to be setup such that adding those fields into a query will not filter all customers that dont have data for those fields, i.e. display null if it does not exist.
My initial approach for resolving this would be to set it up as follows:
A single Logical Table Source: LTS_CUSTOMER
Three Tables added to the LTS:
CUSTOMER, CUSTOMER_ADDRESS, CUSTOMER_PHONE
Two joins defined for the three tables:
CUSTOMER - CUSTOMER_ADDRESS (LEFT OUTER JOIN)
CUSTOMER - CUSTOMER_PHONE (LEFT OUTER JOIN)
Issues/Questions:
- The problem I have run into is that any query that uses Customer Id or Customer Name still causes a join to the CUSTOMER_ADDRESS and CUSTOMER_PHONE table even though I didn't use a field from those tables. I assume this is because OBIEE things that any query to that Logical Table using that LTS has to query it as the LTS is defined (so all three tables are joined in)
- Is there a way around this? If so, is it to specify separate LTS tables for the Logical Table Dim - Customer? If you do this, then there is no way to specify a LEFT OUTER JOIN and the query will just default to what is specified in the Physical Layer as an inner join.
- Curious as to what peoples thoughts are in general for how to decide whether to specifiy multiple sources in a single LTS or just add multiple sources to the Logical Table and the decision criteria for going either way.

I've been reading the NSAPI programmers guide several times now and I was under the impression that you should either use <object> or <client>, never thought about this approach. Now when I re-read it is makes sense, but wasn't very clear at first.
I think I'll e-mail Sun to suggest an addition of the <Object> tag in their <Client> tag example (http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6252/npgobjcn.html#wp1045056) to make things a little more clear.
Thanks again, now I can finally implement the final configuration settings and plan for the actual switch later this evening.
