How do I add space in Thinderbird?

How do I increase space for Thunderbird, since my disk is almost 3/4 free? The system keeps telling me I cannot download new messages because it lack space

The best approach is to use the Inbox as an Inbox for incoming messages and not as a general storage. Keep it low in email numbers and compact on a regular basis.
Please do all the following in the order stated and report back on whether you can then download emails.
'''1. '''Create folders and organise your emails by moving them into suitably named folders. eg: Family, Friends, Bills, Online Orders, Thunderbird etc.
'''2.''' Delete any emails you do not want.
'''3'''. Empty the 'Junk' and 'deleted/Trash' folder.
* Right click on folder and select eg: 'Empty Junk'
Also check the 'Sent' folder as this can also get quite large.
Deleting anything you do not want to keep.
'''4.''' Then, after doing all of the above, compact all folders to remove the hidden 'marked as deleted' emails.
* File > Compact folders.
'''5. '''Archive all older emails, say anything older than a couple of months.
To do this, set up your Archive Options to store by monthly (If you send and receive several emails each day). Select to keep folder structure. Then Archive emails including the Sent folder.
Info on 'Archive Options' here:
* https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/archived-messages
This will reduce the size of your folders, organise emails and make it less risky.
Additional good helpful info:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keep_it_working_-_Thunderbird
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Compacting_folders
I use an addon to help me know how big folders are getting.
* https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/extra-folder-columns/
I have only the 'Size' column displayed, but it also offers Total emails (also useful) and Unread.

  • How do I add spaces in mission control in mountain lion?

I use an external monitor on the right side of my mbp, the external monitor (when in use) is my main screen. I want my (auto retracting) dock on the right side of my right screen (the external one). The top right corner is my hot corner for mission control.
With this setup, when I move my mouse to the right top corner I'll enter mission control, but somehow the "add a new space pop-up button" will not show up. I haven't tried this setup in Lion so I do not know if this is a bug for ML. I really like my dock on the right side of the screen, left is no option and I'm sick of having it at the bottom, but I do want to be able to add spaces, any thoughts how to do this?

    multiple ways,
    go to mission control and:
hold option, a half of a desktop with a plus will appear, click it.
drag an application's window next to the spaces there are already.
put an app in fullsreen mode.
move mouse over the top left side of the screen, and the desktop with the plus sign will appear to add a new space.

  • How do I add space when repling to an email so it's not so cramped?

I just updated to the latest version of Thunderbird and now when I reply to an email, there is not enough space between my response and the former message. How do I add more space so I can see what I am typing more clearly? Right now it is cramped.
    Thank you

I understand I can do it manually, but the old program automatically had space when replying so I'm looking to reconfigure the composition to accommodate this preference.
    Thank you.

  • How do I add spaces with Yosemite?

I have just upgraded to Yosemite and my spaces went missing. I have two monitors and the current configuration for is one space for each monitor and one for Dashboard. I have "Zoomed to Mission Control" and do not see an option to add spaces, neither an "add" or a "+" anywhere.n How can I add more spaces?
    Thank you,

Slide the cursor over to the top-right of the Mission Control window which should result in an Add button to appear.

  • HT201364 how do i add space for start up

Hi do i add space or remove item on the start up disk

    Sorry, I don't understand.
Are you trying to install Mavericks and it tells you there is  not enough disk space to install?
If so, you need to look in your Documents, Pictures, Movies, etc and move any items you don't need onto an external device or delete them if you have no use for them ever again.
Are you running 10.5.8 or 10.8.5?

  • How do I add space between lines of text in the same cell on Numbers 3.0.1

I just updated to Mavericks 10.9. In numbers, I used to be able to uncheck a box in the inspector that would make it so the Return key did not move to the next cell, but instead allowed me to add more space between lines of text in the same cell.
How can I do this in the new version of numbers?

    HI ilb,
Numbers 3 is a complete rewrite of the application. This preference option hasn't (yet) been included, but N3 is very much a 'work in progress. A word to Apple via Provide Numbers Feedback asking to have this option included in Numbers 3 might be a useful step. You'll find Provide Numbers Feedback in the Numbers menu in Numbers.

  • How do I add a space to the toolbar in Firefox 29.0? I can grab a space from empty areas and move it around, but where do I find a "space" icon to ADD a space?

It has been useful in past versions of Firefox to be able to add (a) space(s) between icons on the toolbar in order to create groups of icons and/or separate icons by class or function. In Firefox 29.0, I discovered how to "grab" (click and drag) a space from open areas on the toolbar and move it to another part of the toolbar. But how can I add spaces to the toolbar? In past versions, there used to be a space icon in the customize menu set that could be dragged to the toolbar for that purpose.

You can get around this problem by installing the "Classic Theme Restorer Add-on" available at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox
While returning the squared-off look to your tabs, instead of the newer, rounded version - it also gives returns the option to add spaces; variable size spaces, and separators to your tool-bars.

  • In a Quiz the Correct Answer Buttons are too close to the answer letter. How to give more space?

When creating a quiz and previewing, the Buttons to select the correct answer are too close to the letter for the answer. How do I add space between them. Suggestions?

I think what you mean is that the quiz question's Failure action doesn't trigger until the final attempt and that would never happen if attempts is set to Infinite.  So if you were only incrementing the variable when the quiz question registered final failure then you'd only get one crack at incrementing the variable. yes.  My bad.
However, if you are using Multiple Choice questions, you can also trigger actions using the Advanced Answer Option.  This will trigger an action when a particular answer is selected.  So if you set this for each incorrect answer, you could increment the variable each time they select the wrong answer.
You can also use this same Advanced Answer action to execute a conditional action that first checks the value of the variable and then shows the rollover caption or increments the variable as needed.
Say you create a variable called WrongAnswer and initialise it with a value of 0.  Then you create a Conditional Action called CheckWrongAnswer that looks like this:
If WrongAnswer is equal to 1 assign Wrong Answer with 2, (then on the next line) Show RolloverCaption, ELSE assign Wrong Answer with 1.
This shows the rollover caption after the second attempt resulting in an incorrect answer.

  • How to add spaces at the end of record

    Hi Friends,
i am creating a file which contains more than 100 records.
In ABAP i have internal table with on field(135) type c.
some time record have length 120, somtime 130 its vary on each record.
but i would like to add space at the end of each record till 135 length.
Can you please help me how to add speace at the end of record.
    regards
    Malik

So why did you said that in your first posting? My glass sphere is out for cleaning...
Instead of type c use strings and add spaces until they have the appropriate length.
    loop at outtab assigning <pout>.
      while strlen( <pout>-val ) < 135.
        concatenate <pout>-val `` into <pout>-val.
      endwhile.
    endloop.

  • How can I add new content in iDVD to a DVD-RW disc which has ample remaining free space? After preparing the new video for burning and clicking on Burn to iDVD, I get a window saying the disc's already recorded and that I can either Erase or Eject.

How can I add new content in iDVD to a DVD-RW disc with a video previously successfully recorded on it? (The disc has ample remaining free space.)
After preparing the new video for burning and clicking in the File menu on Burn to iDVD, I get a window saying the disc's already recorded and that I can either Erase or Eject. My assumption has been that iDVD would automatically find the free space and continue with the new recording from there. I'd be grateful if anyone can shine light on this.

There are, but not with a DVD written as a movie disk. It must be closed when completed, or it doesn't work.
Apple's built in Burn utility also automatically closes any data CD, DVD or Blu-ray disk you burn. Doesn't matter how much space is unused, you can't use it. You'd have to use a more advanced disk creation app, such as Toast Titanium. I then have the option of choosing to write the data as a session:
I can keep doing this until the disk is full. If I've written five sessions to the disk, when I put it in the drive, five CD/DVD icons will appear on the desktop since the OS will treat each session as if they are separate physical disks. At any point you choose Write Disk when writing a group of data, that means you're closing the disk, and again can't add anything after that. So if I had written two sessions, and the third was Write Disk, it's over. I can't put anything else on that disk.

  • How to add spaces to the column value to make it up specifi length string please

    Hello There,
Could you please guide me here to solve this issue,
in my column (named as State) contains values as below
    California
    Washington
    Utah
    Connecticut
    Massachusets
in the output how can i add a spaces to make up every column values as 15 length (for ex, Utah is 4 length then need to add 11 spaces, California is 10 would like to add 5 spaces)
i tried below but no use in Sql 2008 R2
    SELECT  distinct state
       state
    +SPACE(35-len(state)),
    len(state+SPACE(35-len(state)))
    FROM dbo.ordersInfo
    Thank you in advance
    Milan

Fixed length CHAR(n) data in SQL is automatically padded with spaces. Either change the column's data type or cast to it. Also, the ISO-11179 rules are that the column should be "state_name" and not just the root attribute "state" -- state_code, state_population,
etc are a few of the confusions you created.
Another rule of RDBMS is that we do not do display formatting in the data. That is what presentation layers do. Why are you trying to fake COBOL in SQL?
