    How do I add Holidays to my Calendar Server?
    <p>
    Adding Holidays to your Calendar Server is done via the Netscape
    Calendar Client by going to the Edit|Holidays pull-down menu.
    This option can only be accessed by those users who have been given
    the admin rights to add holidays.
    If you wanted to give "John Smith" admin rights to add holidays on
    a Calendar Server with a node id of 10000, you would do the
    following:
    o Login as 'root' or 'unison' to your Calendar Server.
    o Change directories to /users/unison/bin.
    o Run the command:
    uniadmrights -e "S=Smith/G=Bob" -hday -n 10000
    Now the user John Smith can add/delete/modify holidays on the
    Calendar Server.

    Include birthday in your contacts using the Contacts app.  Then in Calendar go to the list of calendars (touch the red Calendars at the mid bottom of the screen), scroll down until you find the Birthday calendar, and touch it so that it has a tick mark beside it.  Not only will the birthday show up every year, it will even tell you how old they are!

  • How can I add three binary numbers and then convert to string (Hex format)?

    Hi All,
    I have my problem "half" resolved, but need some assistance on the final piece.  Overall, I need to take three string values (hex format), convert them to binary, add them and then convert back to a string (hex format).  If that doesn't make sense maybe this will:
    Final Result (My target) = 0xCC
     = 0x03 + 0x01 + 0x04
              = 0x03; 0011b
              = 0x01; 0001b
              = 0x04; 0100b
    For my app, we are dropping "masking" some of the bits so that we get 1 byte:
              = 0x03; 11b
              = 0x01; 001b
              = 0x04; 100b
    So...
    11001100b = 0xCC
    In my VI, I am taking each initial string [0x03,0x01 and 0x04] type casting them to U8.  Next I need to "mask" the binary values as shown above and then add them.  I am not sure how to do this in LV??
    Thanks for the help,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,
    there's a conversion palette in the string palette, ever looked at those functions?
    The rest is pure simple math:
    It's the straight-forward way, there are other possibilities too!

  • How do I add augmented records in Mavericks Server 3?

    This article: Mavericks Server Admin: Integrate with existing directory domains clearly indicates that you can "Integrate with augmented records."  I have found instructions on how to import augmented users from Active Directory into 10.6 Server, but I'm using a 10.9 Server and can't figure out how this is done.  Advice please?

    You can do that easily from workgroup manager by going to server > new augmented user records,
    if you want to add all users choose the group option and search for "domain users" this way you can add all users from specific AD group.

  • How-To: Download emails to disk from POP server?

    I need to download "raw" email messages from a pop server so I can process them in an archiver downstream. I want to use JavaMail since I am familiar with Java....would Message.getInputStream() give me the whole message? This is the headers, content, etc? In particular I am trying to hook up to a MS Exchange 2003 box.
    Would this work? What would?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    right...i am trying to preserve the original message from exchange. I think MS using CRLF for line terminators. Is that right?
    basically I am going to reparse the source with JavaMail in another application. I have another script that pulls via webdav from Exchange and it seems to work well...I think that has CRLF's...then I move it to a linux server.
    I will try it and see what happens.
    Thanks!

  • Add new disk(space) into exist ASM

    Hi Experts,
    We have a oracle 11.1 4 nodes RAC at red hat 5 kinux. we database build as 10.2.04 at ASM with two disk group.
    the original DBA put all space into two diskgroup data+ 300G and FSDISK 1500G.
    Now my boss ask to create second database in this server. But I found there are no canada disk is availuable to build two new diskgroup to support new second database.
    Existing database is running over 2 years. How can we release 500G diskspace as canada disk for ASM from FSDISK group?
    or
    How can we add new disk into ASM?
    We do not have special storage person in small sys/dba team.
    I am looking for help!!
    JIm

    Hi nvengurl ,
    It is nice to get your advice. some sr.DBA told me as" Two instances in the same database can share the disk-group"
    other DBA told me as
    Two different DATABASES cannot (remember, RAC uses a database with multiple instances). So technically you can share a diskgroup between instances, as long as they're in the same database."
    some DBA said as Two separate instances cannot share a diskgroup"
    I am not sure. please oracle expert and oracle company staff to confirm this point.
    If I create two database with exist diskgroup. any performance or maintenance issue
    I am looking for your help!!!

  • How to add sites to a SharePoint server on port 80 without using the host header?

    Hello,
    I have a SharePoint 2013 server with 5 sites on it.  2 are using port 80 and the 3 are using other ports.  I like to add 2 more sites to the server.  If I was going to add 2 sites with different ports that are not port 80, what do I need to
    do?  I noticed the host header file on the server has no sites configure in it.
    How would I add 2 sites to the server that has 5 other sites?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Where is the Calendar hosted at the moment?   If it's within SharePoint, there is a "Connect to Outlook" button, which will export the calendar as a shared calendar to your Outlook instance.  I'm never tried the reverse, so if you're using
    a shared calendar, you may need to consider moving it.  When they are linked, they'll be a two way synch (updates from one end will push to the other).  On top of this, you and your team will be able to set-up differnet alerts.
    Additionally, within the product you can create an overlay, calendar, which allows you to merge different calendars.  Each source calendar can have a different colour picked for it.
    In regards to running PS scripts as an end-user, not much if anything can be done here.  All I can think of is adding a codeplex workflow extension, work that into a workflow and then plug a script into that.  Your IT guys might not let that fly.
    Hope that helps

  • Need to add Hard Disk for backup purposes

    Hi all,
    I'm new here and really new to Netware. I'm just beginning to get involved with Netware Servers (V 6.5) and am trying to add hard disks to a server for backup purposes. I have two SCSI hard disks to add to this server and wish to name them backup_1 and backup_2. Using the Backup Exec software we have a site license. I want to be able to do an incremental backup Monday thru Thursday and a full back up on Friday on each disk alternating out the disks weekly with one of the disks being off site while the other is in service.
    I can add the new drive in a Hot manner and then must go through configuring the disk.....during the configuration I'm asked if I want the disk to be a part of a pool or something to that effect. What do I want to do here?
    Actually I'd like to know just what is a pool technically? I've got several books on Netware and none of them has painted me a clear picture of just what a pool is.
    I'm kind of excited to be learning about Netware I hope you all can bear with me as I stumble through this.
    Thanks so much!!!

    A pool is a structure between a volume and a partition. It allows, for instance, you to have multiple volumes in a pool, each of which can dynamically grow to use unallocated space within the pool on demand.
    Novell Documentation
    In your situation they are of no extra use to you, what you do is create a partition on each of those new disks, and create a volume on each and let it (I assume you are using NSSMU on the console) automatically create an underlying pool for each of those volumes.

  • How do I add more than 4 virtual disks to a client

    Playing around with OVS 3.3.1, just trying to learn.
    When I create a new Virtual host with OVM I can create up to 4 disks. (using the create new not clone or template)
    How do I add more than those 4 presented in the gui?
    - Roland

    It depends… if you're creating a HVM guest than there're only 4 slots available for virtual drives. However, if you are creating a PVM guest, than there're 100+ slots available.
    In case you're creating a HVM guest, you could also mess with the vm.cfg, but I'd stringly advise against that as any change that you do to the guest trhough OVMM is likely to overwrite you manually inserted settings.

  • How to add three values together?

    Hi,
    I'm working on a program which is supposed to be able to add three numbers together like this: (notice that the program asks for three numbers. these three numbers are the ones to be added up, see below)
    Enter number one:
    *5*
    Enter number two:
    *10*
    Enter number three:
    *15*
    What i want the program to do is to add these three numbers together and print THE SUM (30) not the three numbers. This is how the code which I use to print out the values looks now:
    System.out.println("the sum of the numbers is" + (num1) + (num2[i]) + (num3[i]) + "hours");
    What the programs does is that instead of printing the sum (30), it prints: 51015 (thus, the typed numbers, side by side...).
    What can i do to make the program print the sum of the three numbers and not the three numbers itself. Thanks in advance..

    thx for the tip, still doesn't work though. This is how it looks:
    First part, declaring variables:_
    String aname;
             int i = 0;
             String[] name;
             name=new String[3];
             String[] aa;
                  aa= new String[3];
                  String[] ab;
                  ab=new String [3];
                  String [] ac;
                  ac=new String[3]; and here is the second part where the program is supposed to print the sum of aa, ab and ac:
    System.out.println(aname + " has totally " + ((aa)+(ab[i])+(ac[i])) + " hours");
    Please let me know if there's any other part of the code you need.*

    I would actually question whether or not more disks increase the risk of a disk failure. One disk can break as likely as one of two of more disks.
    Simple stats.  Buying 2 lottery tickets instead of one, gives you 2 chances to win the lottery prize. Not 1. Even though the odds of winning per ticket remains unchanged.
    2 disks buy you 2 tickets in The-Drive-Failure lottery.
    Back in the 90's, BT (British Telecom) had a 80+ node OPS cluster build with Pyramid MPP hardware. They had a dedicated store of scsi disks for replacing failed disks - as there were disk failure fairly often due to the number of disks. (a Pryamid MPP chassis looked like a Xmas tree with all the scsi drive LEDs, and BT had several)
    In my experience - one should rather expect a drive failure sooner, than later. And have some kind of contingency plan in place to recover from the failure.
    The use of symbolic links instead of striping the filesystem protects from the complete loss of the enchilada if a volume member fails, but it does not reduce the risk of loosing data.
    I would rather buy a single ticket for the drive failure lottery for a root drive, than 2 tickets in this case. And using symbolic links to "offload" non-critical files to the 2nd drive means that its lottery ticket prize is not a non-bootable server due to a toasted root drive.

  • How to add additional disks on vmware OEL4 and use it for Oracle 10gR2?

    I created a virtual machine on vmware workstation 6 and installed OEL4.
    during first install I created 20 GB disk but now I want to add more disks.
    from vmware documentation I tried to add more 8 gb disk to the virtual host.
    under devices I see two lines;
    Hard Disk (SCSI 0:0) 20.0 GB
    Hard Disk (SCSI 0:2) 8.0 GB
    but I must be missing some step since I can not see 20 + 8 gb at df;
    [root@antuhost ~]# df -h
    Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/sda1              13G  9.7G  2.3G  82% /

    I'm trying to burn a DVD by using Disk Utility. I'm having trouble with the DVD Pioneer drive in my G4. I'd like instead, to use my external firewire LaCie DVD burner.

    Take a look at http://www.patchburn.de/.
    It worked for me on a older iMac G3 using a LaCie 300763U Firewire DVD-RW, with no internal DVD player/burner.
