how do i add teo ipods on the same computer and have them have different songs on them?

In iTunes, the iPod preferences determine what content goes on each iPod. Each iPod has its own set of preferences, and you have to have the iPod connected to the computer to access them.
So, for example, you could connect iPod A, then bring up iTunes and in the iPod preferences set it up to sync everything. Then connect iPod B, and in the iPod preferences set it up to only sync selected playlists (call them Rock&Roll, WorkoutMix, and Driving Music). iTunes knows how to tell the difference between the two iPods and will sync them correctly. And you can always come back and change them. So later you can reconnect iPod A and set it to sync selected playlists and have it sync Rock&Roll, DanceMusic, and Chillin'. It's really easy to use. Just try it.
You can even have both iPod connected at the same time and iTunes will sync the right music to the right iPod.

Simply connect them. One computer with one iTunes can manage multiple devices. They're tracked by S/N but you might wish to assign them unique names so that you can track them yourself.
The only minor issue is app updating and purchases while on the computer. It's necessary to log out and back in to the "correct" ID. Much easier to do these things from the iPods.

This second one was bought used, but was reset completely before I plugged it into my computer. My problem is... my iTunes does not recognize the second touch as a device! I can't get it to sync, so I can't get any music or anything onto the device. How can I have two iPod touches on my computer? Is there something special that I have to do to get my computer to recognize this second touch as a different device?? PLEASE HELP!!!

I tried it, as well. The line breaks were respected in the PowerShell console, Programmer's Notepad, and Word; they weren't in Notepad.
You are using a Unicode file. Locale is what?
If you just want notepad compatible line breaks then do this:
del file.txt ; "$env:computername`r`n`r`n`r`n$env:userdomain" | add-content file.txt ;notepad file.txt
Look in hex to see that `n is ^L or 0xA and is only one character. CrLf is 0xD 0xA - two characters.
My programmers editors and VS all understand a single ^L as a line break so does PowerShell. Only DOS/Notepad and other utilitis don't understand this..

How do you sync two Ipods to the same MacBook?

Have a nano already synced to my MacBook. Want to also sync my 5th gen 30GB Ipod to the same MacBook. Have only had my MB for 3 months after 18 years of PC platform (yes I'm drinking the KoolAid baby.) This notebook is fantastic.
An issue I had with my old PC was that you couldn't sync two Ipods to the same PC unless you held down the shift key while accessing ITunes to select a library - or something like that.
Please tell me that if I plug my 5th gen into this MacBook it won't overwrite my nano songs/info that are already on this MacBook? Apple has to have done it easier than how I had to do it with the PC. Any help from you experts out there will save me a ton of grief..........Thanks! R.Ty

My issue is however that in addition to all of the songs that I have purchased via ITunes, I have about 600 songs from my own CD's on the 5th Gen that if I restore will be gone. Time - yes....money - a little.... It would be great if I could de-authorize the PC it was synced to and now work off my mac....

What you need to do is first copy all the music currently on your 5th generation iPod to your new Macbook. Once you have done that, you are free to *Erase and Sync* it upon plugging it in, or restoring it via iTunes as described above.
And if you are adding purchased music, you will need to authorize your computer if you haven't done so yet. To do this, choose Authorize from the Store drop down menu in iTunes.

I have a small problem. I'm trying to add two different FX Styles to a text layer, is this possible and If so, how would I go about doing this?
I'd like to "merge" these two effects into the text layer.

What I did was, copy the layer, removed the FX from that layer and added the FX I was looking for onto the copy and presto - I got the layer to look exactly how I wanted it.

How do I manage two iPods on one computer please?

I have an iPod (early 40G model, and it's fine). I installed iTunes, and all fine. A year goes by. Another member of the household gets an iPod (mini), and we load the software into a different subdirectory in Program Files. This erases my iTunes, but all still works fine for some reason. i.e. when I attach my iPod, it is recognised, and my iTunes music is shown on the screen. When the other iPod is attached, same thing (i.e. it is recognised and her iTunes are shown on the screen). Our different music folders are stored in different subdirectories.
This is all fine, until her iPod erases itself, and is now no longer recognised by iTunes. In the processes advised for solving this situation (restore and reset etc) we erase my iPod (but have managed to restore music to if after re-installing the original software that came with it.)
So now we are back to the stage of having her iPod not being recognised by iTunes. Please suggest solutions! Please also advise if there is a more sensible way of managing two iPods on one PC. Is it really as basic as having different playlists?

How do I add two cells in Numbers

I know the answer must be really simple, but so far I cannot manage to do a simple calculations.
All I want to do is add figures from two seperate cells E30 and E31. Each of these cells have the sub totals of cells above, and I just want to have the grand total by adding the numbers in both of the above cells.

Berfore we jump to the answer, please allow me to give you the most important suggestion I can: Read the first four chapters of the Numbers User Guide. It's free and can be downloaded from a link in the Help menu. Once you have downloaded it, Save it to your Desktop so it's handy.
All calculations begin with the equal sign: =
That signals Numbers that what follows is an expression that must be evaluated. To add two cells, write:
=Cell1 + Cell2, where Cell1 and Cell2 are cell addresses such as D1 or F2.
This expression is placed in the cell where you want the answer to appear.
