How do I adjust keyframes for smoother movement in FCPX?

I am having a lot of trouble adjusting keyframes in Final Cut Pro X. I have a video project that is 97% still images. All I want to do is simple pans and zooms across the picture. The keyframes in FCPX are giving me nightmares. I spent all day trying to figure this out. Please help!
First I tried to apply Ken Burns to my first still image. This effect has the image start slowly, then picks up speed, then slows back down to stop. That's not what I want. I want constant movement. How do I adjust the easing in and out? If not, then this is a beautiful but completely useless effect.
So next I try to manually keyframe. I select my first still image, click Transform, then option-click to put the first keyframe. I move the position, then do the second keyframe. Again, it wants to ease in and out. So I click on the "Video Animation Editor". In the Position area it shows a keyframe at the beginning and ending of this still image. But all I can do is drag these around. How do I see the path and adjust/remove the easing in/out?
I look up in the Viewer window. When Transform is on, there is a bounding box with blue dots, but where is the keyframe interpolation editor? How do I find it? How do I adjust any keyframes? In the upper right hand, I can delete a keyframe or move back and forth to the previous/next keyframe, but that's it?
This has been so frustrating, and I'm working on a paying project for a client. If you can supply any help I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Thank you Russ, this certainly helps me out a little bit. It's not made very clear in other places I've seen that you have to click on the keyframe in the middle of the picture. Throughout most of yesterday I was clicking on the keyframe in the upper right corner and nothing was happening. But this all still feels kinda limited however especially compared with what I could do in FCP7. Is this all FCPX has to offer? Perhaps I don't understand how this works?
When I click on the keyframe, I get only two choices, linear or smooth. Yet, the still image still does this ease in and out thing. How can I adjust that? Aslo, how can I make constant movement? If I want it to go from picture to picture with constant movement, never starting and stopping, how do I make that happen?

Thank you! I put some self help hypnosis tracks to listen to on my iPod. I did not want to go to the next track automatically, I wanted to listen to them individually, one at a time. (If I fell asleep, I did not want to 'wake up' in the middle of a different track.) Not exactly true. As absurd as it sounds, if you have just one music track in your playlist, then you can select it from the Playlists section on the iPhone and play your videos, movies etc. one after the other.
I have created a completely empty music track in Garageband which I drag onto the end of each and every video playlist I create. An ugly solution, but it works.
You have to remember to check the playlist in both the Video and Music sections in iTunes->Devices->Your iPhone.

How Large is Too Large for a Movie These Days?

Hi, we're developing our portfolio site which will have a LOT
of images that must be very high quality. So to keep quality up I
know we have to sacrifice file size (or vice-versa).
We've divided each of the sections of images into separate
movies so there is usually less than 8 images per movie. That way
someone would only need to wait if they clicked to see a specific
movie.
- My question is: What is considered 'large' for a movie file
in these days of broadband?
We are not planning on having preloaders for the individual
movies, and would like them to come up pretty quickly (so no
sluggishness or blank screens). I'm also looking into how to have
the movies loading in the background so that there would be less or
no delay once they are called up.
As an example, one of our larger sized movie tests showed a
size of around 350k for med-high quality, and about 750k for really
good quality. We prefer to have the quality of the latter, but
don't want people to get frustrated waiting.
On our local med-fast broadband (3.0Mb/Sec DSL) the large
movie loads up pretty much instantly and looks great. But we don't
want to alienate anyone.

I think you simply have to judge your audience - are they
likely to have ultra fast broadband or ten year old dial up
connections ?
My rule of thumb is to work for the lowest connection likely.
In the UK most medium to large commercial organistaions (my
market) have at least a 4mb connection so I optimise everything for
that. (Always bearing in mind that it's shared by hundreds or
thousands of users at any given location).

I have not processed the TR created for the GR document. When I try to process it, the open qty in the TR is the difference between (Total GR Qty - Return Qty).
Hence the TR created for 122 mov is Open.
Please guide me how we process such TR's.

See my scenario goes like this & hope this is a common one in case of vendor rejections.
when we create a GR an Inspection lot & TR will be created for the whole GR Qty say (100) with Stock type as Q (Quality).
Suppose If I do the UD for the Inspection lot where I accept 70 Qtys & Reject 30 Qtys then automatically a TR will be created for the 30 Qtys.
Since I have already rejected 30 qtys, only 70 qtys will be open in the TR which was created at the time of GR (which is yet to be processed).
So this TR can be converted into a TO & Stock can be placed in the Destination Storage type & Bin.
Now coming to the rejected qty which is getting knocked off in the interim bin itself the stock level in MM-IM & WM is balanced.
But my concern is TR which was created against the Rejected Material Doc (122) is Still Open. So what do we do with such TR's which are open?
In LB02 we can either delete this TR or change the Status to Processed.
I hope many of you might have come across this scenario. So how did you manage this? Is there any T.CODE available where we can delete or change the status of TR's as processed in a mass way ?

Hi,
   The subcontracting goods issue can be done even without PO reference. If your organization is strictly following the goods issue against PO only and you want to restrict the goods issue if the PO is not released, then you may check the below option. Please note that the below option is available in standard only from EHP 4 or above.
1. Refer the KBA: 1915825 - Transfer Posting reference to a Purchase Order in MIGO and activate the PO reference option in MIGO - Transfer posting.
2. Restrict the use of 541 movement in MB1B - Go to OMJJ and enter movement type as 541. Now go to "allowed transactions" folder and remove MB1B. Now the user cant use 541 in MB1B.
3. Maintain the field - Purchase order as mandatory field for the movement type 541 in OMJJ.
4. Train the users to use MIGO - Transfer Posting - Purchase order option for goods issue with 541 movement.
5. If the PO is not released, system wont allow to use the PO in MIGO - Transfer Postings.
6. If the user is selecting Transfer Posting - Other, system wont check the PO and hence it will allow to post the goods issue even if PO is not released. You may take organizational measures to restrict the usage or you may check for authorization concept - Refer the note: 773003 - MIGO: No authorization object for action/reference document
   If you are below EHP 4, there is no standard functionality available for the requirement as of my knowledge. If so, you may go for development to restrict the same.

How to avoid built-up for "cursor move" events?

I have a rather complicated program where several graphs need to be interactively updated according to cursors using "cursor move" events. The problem is that the recalculation is relatively slow and the behavior is less than satisfactory. Since the cursor position needs to be "tweaked" until the result is as desired, I cannot recalculate only at the "Cursor Release" event.
Lock front panel=enabled makes cursor movements tedious because the cursor movements is very
jumpy and non-interactive. Not user friendly!
Lock front panel=disabled queues up way too many move events and once the cursor is released
the graph continues to jump and recalculate for ages.
The attached demo (LabVIEW 8.20) shows one solution attempt that actually works pretty well: Skip the recalculation unless the cursor position from the event terminal is equal to the cursor position of the graph property node. This basically races through all unecessary intermediary recalculations on stale positions. However, the code can get complicated very quickly if there are multiple cursors.
In my opinion, cursor move events should not get queued up! The event buffer should hold only exactly one entry:
the most recent cursor position for each cursor. Can anyone think of a scenario where the extra cursor position trail is useful? The positions are pretty random anyway, right?
Does anyone have other (better!) ideas how to work around this problem? I definitely want to keep it simple and not throw lots of code at it.
The attached demo contains more details. It demonstrates the problem if "selective updates" is checked. If unchecked, it implements the above mentioned workaround.

Thanks for the example.
The more I think about this, I strongly prefer my original method. It uses minimal code compare to the other solutions offered here. As a demo, I am attaching an implementation to a slide control.
Fo those without LabVIEW 8.20.
All slide events have "lock front panel" disabled.
TIme delay is 500ms, simulating some complex calculation.
As you can see, it works extremely well:
NO shift registers, extra loops, queues, tuning parameters (min times, etc.), etc.etc.
Just a deceptively simple "equal" followed by a case structure.
The demo shows a typical recording if I quicky move the slide up and down, then release it. You can see that the raw event structure takes more than 40 seconds to stabilize while my selective solution follows the slider position almost perfectly despite the 500ms stall in each update.
See for yourself! Can anyone think of a drawback of this method? Even if the slide terminal is not in the same loop, a comparison of a local variable with the newval should do the trick just fine.

How is the new Air for watching movies and tv shows?

Looking at a the new Macbook Air. Needs are generally for email, web surfing, lite spreadsheet, word, etc... But, would be nice for travel to watch a few movies or TV shows. Is the Air suitable for watching DVDs (handbrake and loaded on SSD)? How about streaming from iTunes, Netflix, Slingbox? If I need to move up to the MB Pro sure would like to know now. thanks

I find that my new 13" i7 MBA is great for watching even high def movies that I have copied over.
I also have ripped some standard def DVD's, and it works just fine.
My older (2010 11") would have some issues with 1080p (dropped frames and stuttering), bu the new Air plays those fantastically.
I'm a Hulu and an Epix subscriber, and it works flawlessly with those too, as long as my internet connection is sufficient.

To achieve this issue, we need to replace the value of #, we need to change the description while retrieving the data from tables. So we need to write some ABAP code in SE38. Go to RSA1 transaction and go to Info objects tab. Then go to context menu for cProject Key Figures as shown below. Click on the Object Overview to get the overview of all the info objects. Here you can see the field names which are used to know the table names.
In SE11, type the table name in Database Table field. Now press F4, then you will get the next screen to select one of the P/Q/S/T tables.
Now click on the button rounded in the below screen to view the data in the table.
Now click the execute button or press F8 to view the records.
Now go to Tcode: SE38. Create a source code and give some program name for that source code. To write code, you need access key. Contact your BASIS for this.
Now write the below code for that particular table in which you want to change the value # to description Blank. In the below source code, we are updating particular table, setting the field as Blank where it is null or no value. Here the field will automatically get updated to # if there is no value or null.

I tried to rent a movie from iTunes through my Apple TV. The movie has partially downloaded, but repeatedly stops, and I have to resume the download. Many times it goes into an "Authorizing" state, but never starts the movie. Now my 24 hour period to watch the movie has expired. How can I request a credit on my account?

How to stop Accounting Entries for certain Movement Types

Hello,
We are using Movement Type 511 to record free of charge receipts from vendors. Still it is generating Accounting Entries with Standard Material Price.
Is there any way to stop Accounting Entries for 511 and other Movement Types, where external business partners are involved ?
I tried IMG Setting "Define Account Grouping for Movement Types", where I did not tick in the field "Value Updates". But it did not work.
I believe, Account Grouping settings at the level of combination of Plant and Material Type takes precedence. There I have ticked in the field "Value Updates". So even if create a new Movement Type, with no tick in the field "Value Updates", it creates Accounting Entries for free of charge receipts from vendors.
Is there any way to stop any accounting entries in such cases ?
Basically I want 311-like movement type, but where external business partners are involved.

I created a new Movement Type - copied it from 511 and made the changes as per your suggestions - disabled field "Value Update" in "Update Control / WM Movement Types".
Using MIGO when I try to receive the material, it gives me error "Update Control of Movement Type is Incorrect"
Any reason for this error ? I have disabled even "Check Account Assignment" in Account Grouping

How do I adjust preferences for pdf transparency?

Sometimes I export my Indesign file as an Acrobat pdf preset, using the choice for "smallest size." When I do that I get a message, sounds like something I should correct, that transparency settings not right and that I should change them either in my preferences or in my document. I will attach a picture of what that message says. Problem for me is I don't see how to change anything. I have looked at the "smallest size" present and it says transparency not applicable, but I can't edit this preset in any case. Then in ID prefs, I don't see what to change there either.

What is going on is very simple.
The Smallest Size PDF export joboptions in fact convert absolutely all content to ICC sRGB color, including black text! (We normally would never recommend these options for any PDF creation, especially if you need to subsequently print the resultant PDF file!) Assuming you setup the document when you created it as a print document, the transparency blend space was automatically set to Document CMYK which is effectively whatever your default CMYK color setting is.
However, if you create PDF that is totally RGB (again, not recommended), a CMYK-based transparency blend space may cause real havoc when displaying a PDF page that has transparency. With a CMYK-based transparency blend space, content that is involved with transparency rendering is all converted to CMYK, blended in the CMYK color space, and then converted back to RGB. The visual effect may be somewhat poor!
My recommendation would be that if you really need a compact PDF file from InDesign but maintaining proper color spaces and printability, that you take either the High Quality Print or the PDF/X-4 PDF export joboptions and modify one or the other to downsample the images to some value between 100 and 150 dpi using Automatic (JPEG) with Medium quality. Don't modify other settings. This will cut down the bulk of the PDF file caused by images, the only real aspect of the PDF file size you really have control over anyway. And you won't get the error message you have shown us!

a score board. well for this i have tried a script for two movie
clips ... wchich is working but ..i don know or i m not gettng the

Extending keyframes for sound clip

Hi,
I'm using Flash CS4, and I cannot figure out how to extend
the keyframes for a sound clip to run the length of the timeline.
How can I do this with ease in CS4? In previous versions, after you
drop the sound clip onto the stage, it appears in the time line but
stops at a certain keyframe even though the sound clip is much
longer than what's appearing visually. Typically, you click the
last keyframe, hold down and then drag and continue to do so until
your sound line "runs out". CS4 won't let me do that, it skips a
load of frames and then starts up again.
I need to view the entire sound clip on the timeline; how?

I do not use any .mp3 or Direct from iTunes as they most often give me problems - but converted to .aiff they work greatly.
