How do I align photos in the Book Module on a page?
I've been looking all over the place, but could not find it.
When I'm in the book module, 4 picture per page, pictures not fully zoomed it, I can move the picture. But I have found no way to move all pictures the same way or to align them somehow. I have noticed that padding will change the position as well, but it is applied AFTER I moved the picture.
On a page that I created I have thus no way to align the pictures with a slider, unless I move them on the screen and align them by eye ...
Hopefully somebody can help me.

No. Unless there is some sort of photo management app in the app store, there's no way to alter this order on the phone.
On second though, you might try a batch rename in iPhoto (or whatever you use) so that the photos, when in the order you want, are also in alphabetical order. Then perhaps the iPhone will sort them alphbetically.

If you want to do a two page layout then under the page design choose the spread layout
If you want to move photos around on a page so they are in different positions select the photo and depress teh command key and press an arrow to move it a bit - add the shift key to more it a bit more

How do I get photos from the iPhoto import folder to the iPhoto library? It uploaded, but hung while deleting from my camera, so no imported photos are in the iPhoto library. I watched it upload about 400 photos, one by one. They're somewhere, but they don't appear in the iPhoto library. As iPhoto was deleting them from my camera, it got hung up, then a message came "you should eject before disconnecting a device." I hadn't touched the camera. The message came by itself. I couldn't get iPhoto to respond, so I disconnected the camera and did a Force Quit. Opening it back up, the pictures were gone. Can somebody help me?
What version of iPhoto are you running? Assuming it's iPhoto 9 or later Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

schleifiI have worked with Booksmart and made one book successfully. I have also made a book in Lr 5.2 and had it printed by Blurb to my satisfaction.
Compared to creating a book in Lr the workflow in Booksmart is cumbersome and slow.
(1) During the creation of a book in Lr I test the book often by exporting it as a PDF. This option is only available when you select PDF instead of Blurb - but it is possible to switch between PDF and Blurb without harm. The only change is that the Blurb logo page disappears when PDF is selected. Viewing the PDF in Acrobat tells me what the book will look like in print since my monitor is calibrated and set to the correct intensity (brightness). It also tells me if my sharpening is good. For the export to PDF I select 100 for quality; color profile sRGB; file resolution 300; sharpening High; media type glossy.
A Blurb representative told me that these settings come close to the settings that Lr uses when the book is uploaded to Blurb.
In Booksmart I can't export to PDF.
BTW you should sharpen the image so much that it looks a bit too sharp in your PDF. When the boook is printed the ink droplets spread out a tiny bit before they dry. This tends to make the print softer than it looks on screen.
(2) Booksmart is not color managed. Therefore in Booksmart you have no feedback how your book will look in print. If you want to test your images you have to softproof them in Photoshop.
(3) When I make a book I find often that my develop adjustments are not optimal. In Lr it is very easy to switch the the Develop Module, make the necessary adjustments and switch back to the Book Module. With Booksmart you have to export the adjusted image again - or it has to be re-published if you use the Blurb plug-in.
(4) In the past I have made complaints that Lr does not give enough flexibility for the layout. Since then I have worked more in Lr and I find the Book Module actually quite good.
I find that the full page bleed allows the most flexibility for creating my own layout. Starting with a full page bleed I use the padding feature to place the image anywhere on the page and in any size I want. The boxes for "Page Text" and "Photo Text" allow for more than one column. The text can be edited by adjusting Tracking (all letters are spaced wider/closer), Kerning (individual pairs of letters can be spaced), Baseline (letters can be pushed up or down), or Leading (the distance between different lines of text can be adjusted). There are no such features in Booksmart.
(5) Selecting a color for page background or for text is cumbersome in Booksmart. In Lr it's easy.

Do you mean photos that were synced from a computer ? If you do then you will need to reconnect your iPad or iPhone (this is the Using iPad forum) to your computer's iTunes and move/remove/de-select them from where they were synced from on your computer and re-sync - synced photos can't be deleted directly on a device

You have a couple of options:
Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
Email the photos one at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.) -

What a pain...you must go through all that to remove it?! So many unessary steps!
I also find that when I sync up a new photo folder to replace the old set that I previously wiped out and replaced it staggers afew pictures from before in with the new and will not show all of the new....so frustrating!!! I even close out iPhoto and go into the photo album and all the photos that synced up which are the ones I do want are all there....it's so different than what I see the album in iPhoto. How to I open photos in the new cc?
I have been a long time user of CS6, but today I signed up for the new Photoshop CC. The problem is that I have absoluetly no idea how to open a photo in the new CC. I don't even see the new CC as something I can download, only a lot of icons that I have never used before and one that is for cs6, which I already have installed on my computer. From where do I down load the new CC program and how do I open one of my photos in it?
