How do I allow firefox to allow most content to be shown?
pop up from firefox frequently says that application prevented from being shown and I am prompted to allow or disallow. How do I increase standards to allow more to be allowed?

I used to have Firefox 18.0.1. Now have Firefox 19.0.2. I use a website where Silverlight 4 is required. Silverlight 5 is incompatible with the website. Firefox 18 allowed use of Silverlight 4. Firefox 19 has disabled the plugin as outdated. How can I force acceptance of Silverlight 4?
Have you tried uninstalling the current version of Silverlight and installing version 4? What happens when you try to install version 4? What is the error message you are receiving?

How can I get Firefox to allow ads on websites?
When I load websites I don't see adds. This is most apparent on these sorts of sites (e.g. http://smashboards.com/ ) where I see a banner saying I have an ad-block enabled instead of seeing an advert. I do not have ad-block extensions. I have tried disabling all my extensions but this cause no change. I tried enabling tracking and allowing pop-ups but this also had no effect. I want ads to appear because I want to support the sites I visit.

How can I get Firefox to allow AOL to open. It will not allow!
Firefox a warning that I will be redirected to another page (aol.com) and I select the allow box., but it does not redirect or allow. HELP

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Hi, i visited a web site that i frequently visit and now can't view images.
An error message comes up at top of page which states application request can't be executed from application pool. So i am trying to figure out which steps i can take to allow me to view images?Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

How can I get firefox to allow my bank to redirect to another page without me having to "allow" it?
Fire fox has started to prevent my bank from "automatically redirecting to an other page" I have to hit the "allow" button, two times. I have check tools, security etc., and can't find where to change it back to doing it automatically or adding as an exception.

I am using the electronic writing pad made by PENPOWER Inc. to input Chinese characters onto my PC programs (e.g. Winword, Internet Explorer, Excel, etc.) But I can not make it happened on Firefox, please advice what I have to do with the configuration of the Firefox or using any other method to make it work. How do I get Firefox to allow me to go to the Facebook site, it blocks all attempts.
Every time I google facebook or try to go to the site from an email link, Firefox blocks it and gives a message it is an untrusted site.
By the way, another user discovered their Facebook issue was caused by their ESET security software needing to be updated: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1057306 Why is mozilla not accepting facebooks certificate on my pc ?] Not sure if that is relevant to you.

How do I stop firefox from showing mobile content on my desktop
I was wondering if anyone could assist me with this problem. Firefox shows mobile content on my desktop (such as going to Yahoo Sports page) instead of desktop content on my desktop. I have tried clearing cookies and c ache, and that has not solved my problem. Thanks in advance!
Oh, Yahoo! might have stored its decision in a cookie, or in a cached file. You probably need to clear those again. You've done it before, but just for reference:
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
Why would you allow firefox to update computer web-browsers if you have an idea that it will no longer work after the update? And why would you not include instructions for, how to fix the problem? Help Please! Can I go back to the old one?

I do not work for Mozilla but I do have experience of releasing software for public usage.
Firefox has no way of knowing what other software is already on your computer and with millions of combinations it isn't always possible to test for every scenario.
You can go back to the old version of Firefox but that won't always solve your problem.

Have you tried resetting your Default Browser back to IE, thru the Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs?
