How do I allow Flash Player to communicate with Internet-enabled locations?

Ok, so I'm trying to build a website using Dreamweaver CS6 and I wish to place a flash object in the site (a .swf file).
I go through all the normal ways to do it, whether it be by manually placing it in, or using the Insert > Media > SWF.
Now the main issue with this is the expressInstall.swf script it chucks out.
Whenever I try to preview the webpage in a browser such as Firefox or Chrome, it immediatly decides to stop the flash under the pretense of it being an unsafe operation by trying to communicate with an Internet-enabled location (that location being fpdownload.macromedia.com)
Now, regardless of whether I delete ths parameter or not, the error message always appears, so I believe this is a Flash Player error. I currently have the newest version. Also something I noticed is when I publish preview my flash objects into a flash format, that they open themselves in a html browser rather than a Flash Player program.
So does anyone know how to allow Flash Player to communicate with internet-enabled locations?

  • Allowing Flash Player to communicate with a local database OFFLINE

    Hi all.
We've developed a flash application (using the latest version
of Flash and Flash Player 8) which is run locally on a laptop and
connects to a local database. Nothing about it requires online
    access.
However, because the the flash is connecting to a XML source
    http://localhost/xml_source.php)
it still treats this like its connecting to an online and remote
site and thus asks for security permissions to be granted via the
    Macromedia website.
This is fine, we go the laptop online and granted access but
there seems to be a problem:
The flash application works for a period of time (12-24hrs)
while offline but then stops communicating with the database just
as if it did not have security permission.
Connect the laptop to the internet again and, hey-presto, it
works fine... for a period of time.
Now, this isn't proven yet but my theory is that Flash Player
8 requires continually access to the internet in order to 'refresh'
its local security permissions. I'm guessing the information is
stored in a cookie or something and is expiryin after a set period
    of time.
    1. Does any one have any knowledge to verify this?
    2. Is there anyway to allow Flash to communicate with a local
web server without it requiring any sort of security permissions?
    Thanks a lot.

  • How to always Allow Flash Player by Default??????????

So I'm using the original 10.3 version of flash, which is really the only stable version of flash that I can use without any problems here on Firefox. Unfortunately, the newest version of firefox blocks that plugin on every site that I go to, and I have to manually hit "Allow and Remember" on every site for this. I CAN'T use the newest version of flash without having problems, so I need to use 10.3. How do I make it so that the plugin is accepted by default on all sites??

There's a Flash Player Projector (standalone) in the Flash Professional CS6/Players folder, but it's usually outdated.
When browsing to an app to use from the Properties window, go there, but... download this one: Windows Flash Player 13 Projector  and replace the Flash Player that's in that folder.
If you're looking to test Flash files you've authored, then you'll need the Projector, but if you're just looking for a good player for FLV and F4V, then you should use VLC Media Player. http://www.videolan.org/

  • How to restore Adobe Flash Player for 32 bit Internet Explorer of Windows 8.1 64 bit?

Default Windows 8.1 64 bit install runs Internet Explorer 11 32 bit and all it's features, but slight disturbance for install of integrated applications runs user in such a trouble of loopback which he or she cannot escape, because problem application doesn't
runs for Windows or for it's programs, won't show it's Windows existence but wouldn't allow install of it's new software, I could only install complete new program for Windows program to run desired object.
I am using Rocket browser for Internet Explorer 11 32 bit because of problem of Adobe Flash Player uninstall or install.
But how many applications do I have to search, trial and if at all successful install for use because of problems of such applications of Windows?

As we have reviewed in other threads on the same topic. Internet Explorer for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 make use of separate management and content processes which on the desktop in a 64 bit environment are 64 bit and 32 bit respectively.
This is explained here on the IEInternals blog.
In most scenarios, the multiple processes are entirely transparent to the browsing experience. 32 bit addons continue to load and interact as expected with the content processes in which they are run and web scripts which detect browser architecture continue
to function, detecting a 32 bit browser.
In the Modern UI experience, the scenario is even more transparent as support for addons such as Flash and JavaScript are integrated into the 64 bit processes and updated through standard Windows Updates.

Answer for problem simply Got it !
Internet Explorer 11 needs websites 'Trusted', add all pages in need of running addons, and rest Windows operating system handles.
Now I am listening to songs on Windows Media Player (T3 skin) from a website which earlier messaged Adobe Flash Player not installed refusing playing songs, but now running programs without installing Adobe Flash Player.

I have tried everything and cannot view youtube videos with IE explorer 10 or 9.  I had IE 10 and uninstalled this update to go back to IE 9. This did not help. I have removed and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (latest version) 6 times. • Flash Player 11 Installation with Internet Explorer 9

OK, I know there are alot of discussions on this already, but I have tried all the suggestions with no luck.  I have just got my PC back after a full restore, 32 bit Windows Vista.  I have installed the new Internet Explorer 9 and wasn't surprised when it told me to install the latest version of Flash Player.  I tried to install and got the message to close Internet Explorer which I had already done.  I managed to sort that by going to Task Manager and closing an iexplore.exe process that appeared to be stuck.  When I go to adobe.com it tells me that I have the latest version (11.0.1.152) installed, but when I try to view videos on IE9 it tells me that I still do not have Flash Player! I have restarted, checked the things that have been suggested in other posts and still  not having any luck!
    Suggestions please????

    Question
Firefox will not allow Flash player to work. Every site that uses Flash player gives me a message saying that I need to update to the latest version of Flash player, but I have done so, and I keep getting the same message. How do I enable Flash to work in Firefox? Thank you.

  • How Do I Stop Flash Player From Storing Cache?

    Windows XP SP3
Latest Flash Player (i just upgraded it to the latest as of today)
There are a couple of directories on my HDD that appear to be the place where Flash stores cache.
    One of them is (#1):
    c:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Adobe\Flash Player\AssetCache\
    The other is (#2):
    c:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#sharedobjects
These directories were so bloated with subdirectories that it literally took about 12 HOURS OR MORE to delete everything in them!  I'm not kidding.
There must have been 100,000 subfolders or maybe even more in these folders.  They were choking everything on my computer that had to read past them.
I FINALLY was able to delete everything from them after hours of work.
Now I want to keep them empty, so this doesn't happen again but I can't find out how to do that.  It is so dang frustrating.  I looked and looked for a way to shut this storage off.
I finally found the online "Settings Manager" and thought I FINALLY solved the problem after setting the "Global Storage" setting to "Never" and unchecking the "Allow third party Flash content to be stored on your computer" and "Store common Flash components to reduce download times" boxes.
    BUT NO!!!
It didn't do a thing.  I looked at those two folders again and they are still being filled up with new subfolders!!!!
    UUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
How do I keep Flash Player from storing this unwanted mess on my computer?!
    Thank you for ANY HELP!

    PS:
Before I set the global settings as I stated above, I DELETED all the "Websites already visited" from the list in Settings Manager so that ALL Websites would be set according to the global settings.
But none of that did a thing to stop the new folders from being created anyway.  How do I stop them??!!!

how to update adobe flash player with os10.6.8

You can check here what version of Flash player you actually have installed:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser, but check this also:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5655?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US  which also covers ‘blocked plug-in’.

  • I have Mac OS X 10.4.11 with 600 mhz PowerPC G3 how do i get Flash Player 10.3.183.20 (65.7 MB) power pc processor

i have Mac OS X 10.4.11 with 600 mhz PowerPC G3 how do i get Flash Player 10.3.183.20 (65.7 MB) power pc processor?

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • How to make adobe flash player always on in the firefox?

I have a desktop pc with OS windows 7. I used daily firefox about 7 hours and more. Everytime i open firefox and go for the search page like youtube and videos sites an authorization noticed me to confirm to Allow adobe flash player. And also open a new tab and go the video sites also asks the same everytime i switced allow to adobe flash player to works. How i resolve this problem. And how to switch always adobe flash player to be on.

Your Shockwave Flash plugin probably is set to "Ask to Activate" (which means, click to play). You could try switching it to "Always Activate" on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins.
If Firefox only offers the options of "Ask to Activate" and "Never Activate" then most likely the version you have is on the "block list." This is a regularly updated list of add-ons that are either out-of-date or malicious. If you can approve the plugin to run as needed, then it is a "soft block" that eventually will turn into a hard block where you will not be able to enable it at all.
I realize Flash 11.3 and higher can create a lot of problems in Firefox. Most of these are due to the protected mode feature. If you eventually have to update, the following pages provide different ways to disable the feature:

How can i install Flash Player in my iphone 4?

This won't be possible.  Due to restrictions from Apple, plug-ins are not allowed in Safari on iOS.  Instead, all  flash based applications that choose to do so are distributed via the app store using Adobe AIR.  From an end users perspective, you won't know if you are using a native or flash based app.
