How do I allow guest access on a DCHP server?

I am fumbling through switching out a Windows 2003 DCHP server for a OSX DCHP Server. One of the settings I am missing is allowing visitors to the network to plug into our network and connect to the internet and maybe a printer. I don't need them to be able to access a shared folder etc. How do I set this up?

Just go to Server Admin --> [click your server's name] --> Settings --> Services and check the DHCP server. Click save - on the left hand side of the screen DHCP will be added - and click DHCP. In the bottom of Server Admin you can now click Start DHCP.

    Yes, if you specify a disk password in AirPort Utility that must be used to access the Time Capsule hard drive. Only those users who know the password will be able to access the disk.

    Apple assumes that you will be connecting the Time Capsule to a simple modem....and.....that the Time Capsule is configured as a router to provide DHCP and NAT services for the network.
    The Guest Network cannot be enabled correctly unless the Time Capsule is in charge of DHCP and NAT services on the network.
    Another way of saying the same thing is that the Guest Network will not operate correctly if the  Time Capsule is configured in Bridge Mode or DHCP Only.

    sabertooth is correct. The Guest network is managed by Cisco connect software only.
    You can reset the router and reconfigure it manually.
    Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it manually.

    Go to Solution.

    Hard reset the router by pressing the reset button in back for 30 seconds and release.  Wait 10 seconds and power cycle the router.  Remove Cisco Connect from your computer completely.  Now re install Cisco Connect and configure the router and turn off the Guest Access.

    You can ask your customer to ceate an Adobe ID and then you can share your specific work/folio with that Adobe ID. So this way you need not share your Adobe ID/Password with the Customer and Customer also need not to share their password/other details with you.The best part is whenever you make any changes in your folio the shared user automatically get that change. User just has to take the update.

    I can't believe I am having such a difficult time with this.
    I'd like all the accounts I have set up to be able to access my music library. And if I add music I'd like each account to access the new music without having to update each library. I've read other posts and I can't quite grasp how I share the library.

    I tried putting the music folder into the shared folder.
    I still couldn't access them from the guest account. And worse, I can't get them back into my original account. They are not erased (thank god!), I can see them in a folder, just can't pull them up on itunes.
    Should I do the "consolidate music"? I'm leary of making a whole copy as I don't have enough hard drive space.

    I would have thought that all applications which are properly installed in the Applications folder would be available to all users, including Guest.  That's the case on my machine.  Is your MS Office installed in your **user** application folder (in your home folder, which limits applications to that user) or is it at the top level of your folder hierarchy (which is where you should be installing applications which you want to be available to all users)?

    I've got an ASA with two "outside" interfaces and twelve "inside" interfaces.
    I'd like to separate the Access Lists between outside access and inside access. By default I'd like the inside interfaces access to the internet and nothing else and then build the ACL's to allow access between inside interfaces.
    I can't imagine this being very difficult to achieve but I've spent quite sometime trying to accomplish this but haven't been able to make it work how I would like.

    How I normally handle this is to build a network object group and place the RFC 1918 networks (10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16) in it and then do a deny to these networks with an allow IP any/any to the outside (internet).

    have a user BOB created in Cisco ACS 4.2
    have several network devices with different management IP addresses  all added in Cisco ACS 4.2
    want to be able to allow BOB to access network devices only if BOB's access request is coming from one ip address 1.1.1.1
    If BOB is trying to access network devices from any other ip addresses, the request should be denied regardless of the fact that BOB has full access to all network devices.
    Is there a way to acomplish this using Cisco ACS 4.2

    It is actually possible, thanks for your doc reference:
    in ACS setup AAA client user will be allowed to call from
    in ACS setup NAR (devices you want to allow access to);
    create user in ACS
    configure user access in ACS:
         allow access to required NARs
         define IP - based access restrictions
              Permitted calling / point of access locations
                   enter AAA client from which user will call (* for ports and * for ip address)
    Save and test
    In failed attempts you should see Authentication failure code "Users access filtered" when trying to login to NAR devices with new username and from non-permitted calling client/ip address.

    yes..ur rite..but is there some thing using which i can stop them to acces the BOR ...or can i stop the JCo connectivity..
    or how can i make my RFCsdisabled for specific clients like 800 a rfc will work but for 000 the rfc will not work.
    and one more thing..Can we edit the JCo ERROR Messages...
    ...like when there is a failure in JCo connection they should get a detailed error..like...the password has changed..like that..

    You need to define your requirements a little bit. The WLC can do WebAuth and an employee can access either the WLC or WCS to put in the username and password credentials, but you would need to figure out what's best for you.
