How do I allow two account users to access pSE6 on their own accounts?

how do I set up PSE 6 to allow two account users on one computer to access pSE6 on their own accounts?

They can't share a catalog stored on the main hard drive, if that's what you want to do, but to just use the program separately, log in to the other user account, open PSE, and if PSE wants to register itself again, let it.

  • How do I allow parental controlled users to access third party apps on the admin account?

I just set my son up with a separate parental controlled user account and he can't seem to access some third party games that we installed for him under my admin account. He has saved progress on these games that we don't want to lose, so I don't want to reinstall them. I checked them off as allowed apps, but when he tries to play- the game icon shows up in the doc then changes to the updater icon and they won't run. I've searched for answers to this question, but can't seem to find any. Please help? My son and I would be very grateful!

Sure was! They used it on 4 different models. But that was Maverick, as in horse. This will be Mavericks as in ocean waves.

  • How can I take 3 devices off of my email account and give them their own account. We are sharing storage and need to each have our own account.

Everyone in my family has an iPhone or iPad and they are all on one email account. How do I take them off and give them their own accounts so I can have my storage back?

Have them delete the iCloud account (your email address) on their devices then let them create their own iCloud account -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4436.  If all of you are syncing contacts and calendars on the same iCloud account, they have to re-organise those stuffs once they have their own iCloud account.  When you delete an iCloud account, it normally asks what would you do for the synced information - keep it on the iOS device or delete.  If they choose to keep the synced information (e.g. Contacts and Calendars), they have to delete those thare aren't theirs or they can start from scratch by deleting the synced information from the iOS device.  Hope this helps.  Cheers!

    Yes.
On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs.

  • I have been sharing my iTunes account with my kids...now they are getting older and want to have their own accounts, how do I share the songs I purchased for them on my account with them on their new accounts?

I have been sharing my iTunes account with my kids...now they are getting older and want to have their own accounts, how do I share the songs I purchased for them on my account with them on their new accounts?  Is there a way to transer from my main account their new accounts?  And can I share music from my account with them?

You can't currently transfer content from one account to another account. As long as the tracks are on the computer's iTunes that they use/sync to, and your account is authorised on that iTunes, then they should be able to continue to use them.

  • When I try to set up family sharing I get "This account is already shared by another family member. Family sharing works best if every family member uses their own account." how do I reset?  I can't find where it is being used.

    Hi jmeckoll1,
It sounds as if you are trying to set up family sharing starting with an Apple ID which someone has already used to start a family group. Presumably this person is within the family group you want to share with. One solution to this issue would be to ask to join this family group. See this article -
OS X Yosemite: Join a family
If this is not the desired result, you will need to set up your own family group using an unused Apple ID that is in use for iCloud. See this article -
OS X Yosemite: Set up Family Sharing
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Just figured it out.  Goto Settings/Privacy/Contacts, slide the switch to On for Find Friends.  Worked like a charm!

  • My 2 sons have ipods, when they load $$, they both have access to it.  How can I give them both their own accounts?

My 2 sons have ipods.  When money is loaded, they both have access to it.  How can I get them to have their own accounts so they can't share money?

They need their own iTunes accounts. You have to be at leasty 13 to create an account and you need a unique email address from them.  They will need the password for the account that purchased app already in order to update those apps.

  • HT201269 Hi. My kids are all on my itunes account.  They have purchased music and apps.  I need to set up their own accounts since when on my account they also get my ext messages.  How can I set up new accounts and transfer what they purchased from my ac

Hi.  My kids are all on my itunes account.  As a result they also ge my text messages.  I would like to set up their own accounts but be able to transfer the songs and apps they purchased.  Can this be done?

You can still share an iTunes account for purchasing and downloading content. Just create a new Apple ID for iCloud to use for Messaging. If you try to create a new Apple ID for music and content, everything on their phone is tied to the Apple ID used for purchases, and would then require the password for that Apple ID to update. The way I described is easier.

  • Can we split accounts so each person can spend their own money, but still share the same librar

right now we have one itunes library, one apple id and 2 devices. so when we put an itunes card on the account, it is a race for who can use up the $ first.  We are adding a 3rd device.   I want to split the accounts so each person can spend their own money, but i still want them to share the same library(the library is in a shared area on the computer)
we have been thinking about just setting up a new apple id for the new device.  i am worried that when we sync, that it will wipe out all the existing stuff.
    Thanks for your help.

You can create as many individual user accounts on a Mac as you like. Then, any one or more of those users can remotely log in from another Mac and use that Mac as their own, simultaneously. Each account will remain separate from all others.
However, since each user needs to have a Mac to do that, I'm not sure how you could effectively double the number of users as you describe.

  • Users are unable to see their own profile photo although everyone else can see it in Lync 2013 client

We have Lync 2013, Exchange 2010 and several AD
    servers in mixed mode 2003/2008.
All user are unable to see their own profile photo
either in the main Lync window, in the settings or in a chat although other user can see that their photo is there and displaying. The user experiencing the issue can go open Outlook 2013 client and will see their photo displaying correctly in the file menu
    (and elsewhere) here.
I have confirmed this happens with any new users I set up as well. We have gone through a fair amount of troubleshooting with other Lync photo issues and simple fixes such as deleting the SIP cache folder etc proves to be ineffective.
Our Cs-ClientPolicy Global is set to websearchonly.
We have "Replicate this attribute to the Global Catalog" set
for the ThumbnailPhoto attribute in AD.
We are also forcing photos from AD only (or no photo) by setting the following:
    "Set-CsClientPolicy -Identity PhotosControl -DisplayPhoto
    PhotosFromADOnly"
and finally we are importing the photo in ad using this PS command:
    "Import-RecipientDataProperty -Identity "Test User"
-Picture -FileData ([Byte[]]$(Get-Content -Path "C:\pictures\testuser.jpg" -Encoding Byte -ReadCount 0))"
The pictures being uploaded are under 10KB in size.
I have followed many threads and will provide any information I can to help find the problem. Thank you in advance.
EDIT: I have also tried the following but with no success: https://knowledge.zomers.eu/misc/Pages/How-to-fix-your-photo-not-showing-up-in-the-Lync-client.aspx

    Hi Jdentremont,
Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
    1.  Navigate to
     “X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
    2. Delete all the files in this folder.
    3. On test PC, delete local cache files.
    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
    4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
    5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • I have an Apple ID, and shared purchases with my 3 kids devices. Now they want to have their "own accounts" so when they get iTunes gift cards, they can pay for their own things. Can we share these purchases? My household is as follows:

I have Mac Mini with Lion Server running 10.8.2 and an iPhone 4.
Wife has iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. (We share Apps)
Each kid (12 and under) has iPod Touch 4th Gen.
So far all purchases made under my Apple ID/iTunes ID.
Is there a way to let the kids have their own account- they get giftcards.... but if I buy an App they can still share it?
so if Child 1 buys an App, or song, can we all enjoy it, but it's purchased from his 'own' account?

    @survivethestorm.
Firstly thanks for the blog, I think it has saved me time contacting customer support?  I too am going thru the introduction of several kids devices, along with my wifes, onto the one iTunes account and on one PC computer (currently we have 3 x iPhones, 2 x iPod touches, 2 older iPods and soon to have iPad).  Syncing all devices hasn't been a problem to date as far as music, apps etc but I too have discovered the texting problem you described above, with my sent texts showing on the kids devices, and vice-versa, much to my horror!  It appears this is now only becoming a problem with the later iOS software and/or devices?
It appears as you have described above, customer support has indicated by creating a separate Apple Account for each person, this fixes the texting problem?  Have there been any issues then with syncing apps, music etc after creating the accounts?  I currently dont use iCloud, I simply sync each device on connection via usb to the computer, and choose what is being synced to each device.  I like to control (at this point anyway) what is actually going on to the kids devices.  Do you know if there is a limit as to how many 'Apple Accounts' can share the one iTunes Library?  I realise the number of devices is unlimited to the one account, but just wondered if the number of Apple Accounts changes things?
Once an Apple Account has been created for each person, do you then have to share your iTunes Library (Apps, Music etc) or does it do it automatically do so when they log in?
Also I presume you don't need credit card details for the Apple Account?  It was a long time ago I set my original one up.
Sorry for the 'long winded' reply, just very confused and want to make sure I am doing the right thing.
    Many thanks.

  • Why is it asking my mom and brother for my itunes account password when they have and are logged in their own account?

When my mom and brother go to update their apps, it askes for my password for my itunes account. Yet they have their own accounts and they're signed into them for iCloud and for purchasing apps. It doesn't make sense to me and it was out of nowhere...

    What do you mean...?
Do you not know which Apps are yours...?

When that happens... They should Delete the App(s)

  • My kids are on my email account.  I want them to now have their own accounts.  Can they still use all of my music and apps?

I have my kids' iPods on my account.  I want to put them on their own accounts.  Is there a way I can do this without having them lose all of the stuff on my account?  And can they still sync things that I download if they're using my computer?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your children are under 13, you should open 2 new accounts for yourself and let them use it. They can use these ID's for iCloud and so have their own email! contacts! calendars etc, but still share your original ID for iTunes for apps, music, etc. You can continue to sync them with your computer.

  • Im having problems with my Kids facetime accounts that seem to be because they are both using my itunes and there are conflicts with multiple email addresses? Is it possible to now set the kids up with their own accounts without losing their apps etc

    Hi All,
I have my kids using iTunes via thier ipods etc through my own account and this hase been the case for some time?
This has started to cause issues lately with imessaging and facetime, as there seems to be a limit on email addresses that can be associated with one account?
I wonder if I would be best off setting the kids up with their own accounts, but want to be able to do this without them losing their existing apps, music etc?
Is this possible, if so is there a simple process cos I can seem to find anything relating to this?
    many thanks, Jim

Not going to happen the way you want it to.
When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with.
