How do I alphabetize my bookmarks? It is ridiculous this is not automatic.

I have a Macbook OS X, version 10.6.8. I would like bookmarks to automatically alphabetize each time I add one. Of course.

Did you try creating a folder of your bookmarks then drag the folder to your Desktop.
The Finder will automatically alphabetize the folder content.
Drag back to Safari.

I gave my macbook pro for service. Initially there was no password set up in the system. However the service guys have put some password to install the applications. (This is not related to apple id and apple store apps). Can you please help how to reset the password?

As you have OS X Mountain Lion, try resetting the password from Recovery > http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4101
It looks like OS X was reinstalled. After resetting the password, you will be able to log in and use your MacBook Pro

There are two bookmarks icons. One displays a drop-down menu and the other opens the browser sidebar. Which one are you using?
For the drop-down menu, it should open on the side where you have the icon. (Note: this icon generally appears at the right end of the Bookmarks toolbar and in past threads some people have had difficulty moving it to other toolbars.)
For the sidebar, there might be a trick to switch it from left to right, but this also will affect others sidebars that share the same box, such as history.

You can no longer do that via the user interface, but you need to check the related pref on the about:config page.
The javascript.enabled pref should be true on the about:config page to enable JavaScript.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I want to know if and how to disable private browsing on my computer. This is not a helpful or family friendly tool and will uninstall firefox if I cant find a way to disable it or hinder its usage.

I hate the private browsing option because it enables anyone that uses my computer to hide anything they want.
I would love to trust a teenager to use my computer but they can abuse it using this feature. Young teens can hide adult chat, porn, violence, virus friendly websites. This is not an acceptable feature to have around kids

Are you referring to the albums in the left hand pane of iPhoto? If so Control-click on one of the album and select Sort Album in the contextual menu.
The albums will be sorted alphanumerically.

Step 1
I'm on Win7 so the paths might be slightly different... C:\Users\(YOUR PC ACCOUNT)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bnelgkol.default\bookmarkbackups ... Find the "bookmarks-[DATE].json" you want and copy it to the profile you want. You may want to change the date to a name you will recognize.
Step 2
Then on your browser "Bookmarks>Show All Bookmarks or Ctrl+Shift+B ". This will bring up the Bookmark Organizer, I think they call it Library now. From there click "Import & Back up>Restore" this will bring up a drop down with your back ups. If you followed step 1, find the json you added and select it. If you skipped step 1, from "Import & Back up>Restore" select "Choose File..." Then browser for the json you want to import. Which should be in a similar location as mentioned in step 1.
NOTE: "AppData" is a hidden folder, will have to set show hidden folders to be able to see it.
