How do i apply a background track to some slides

I want to add a background track to my project but dont want
it to play on the first slide. How do i do that?

Hi magsibhai and welcome to our community
Certainly can't accomplish it using the "Audio >
Background Audio..." function! That includes all slides.
The only way I can fathom this working (in the same project)
would be to assign desired background audio to individual slides on
a slide-by-slide basis.
I do suppose that if you had Flash skills, you could
construct a pair of widgets. One to silence the first slide, and
the other to play the audio by increasing volume or something. Then
drop the first widget on the first slide so audio would be stopped.
Drop the second widget on the second slide to make audio start. But
this assumes you have Flash and the skills to use it.
Cheers... Rick

    After you have done either of the previous options to get the transition on the current slides, you can add the transition to the Master Slide so all your new slides will default to the same transition.

  • How can I change the background of a single slide?

    I applied a theme to my keynote presentation but now I want to change the back of a single slide. How can I do this??? thanks in advance!!!

    Hi
    While you are at the slide that you want to change:
    Open Inspector
    Go to the second tab, named "Slide"
    The last option is named "Backround"
    You can choose a color, a gradient or an image fill from there
    And that's it.
    Hope it helps you

  • How do I add background music to selected slides?

    How can I can add background music to selected slides only? Also, when I add recorded voice to selected slides, the presentation starts from the slide from which the recording started and not from the first one of the presentation. Are there answers to both these questions?

    Gilda,
    The only way to add selected music/voice narration to individual slides is to place the audio files on the individual slides and set a build to Start Audio or Start Movie.
    Music files can either be from your Media Browser Audio or from other files that are in your Finder. Simply drag and drop on the slide. Select the audio object on the slide to assign Satrt Audio/Movie builds.
    To crate Narration Files to be placed on a slide, an easy way to do this is to use your Quicktime Player > File > New Audio Recording > record your voice-over and save it. Then drag it onto your slide and then Build Inspector > Build In > Start Audio/Movie > Open the Options Drawer and set the start to mouse click or automatic.
    Adding an audio file to the entire presentation via the Slide Inspector > Audio Well will make music play across all slides.

  • How do I apply special effects to a track when I keep getting error message that "Could not find layout Default Reverb GB"?

    How do I apply special effects to a track in GarageBand when I keep getting error message that says"Could not find layout Default Reverb GB"?

    I go to  Applications to see if
    GarageBand has changed and dthere is no change, still 1.42GB of file size ‹
    no evidence of the 10+ GB that the installer told me I was downloading, no
    evidence in my download folder that I downloded anything, and most
    important, when I click on ³Effects² I¹m back to the same error  message.
    I¹ve been at this now for about 3 hours.
    Downloading the extra content will take a very long time.
    When the download has finished, the prompt for the password will appear and the installer will continue to run in the background.
    Let t run. As long as GarageBand is still installing, it will give a warning, when you try to quit.
    When you can quit GarageBand without a warning, restart your Mac.
    The size of the GarageBand application will not change, but you should be seeing more loops. They are installed in the System Library, and the folder "Library" on your Macintosh HD should by now be 10GB larger.

  • How do I apply a fade to the end of an audio track?

    I'm using Captivate 7, and have added one of the Gallery sounds to a slide in my software simulation. I want the track to fade at the end of slide, so I guess I need to apply an effect. All the help refers to "clicking the triangle next to the audio track name" to expand the track for editing, then goes on to talk about keyframes. I don't see a triangle next to the track name, or next to anything related to the track. I am in the Effects workspace. Also, on the EFFECTS tab, all the selections are grayed out.
    I also tried adding a fade by using the settings on the PROPERTIES tab, but it doesn't affect the playback.
    How do I apply a fade effect?

    Effects have no relation whatsoever with audio clips, I don't understand why you were looking there.
    You can edit audio, and to get into the editor there are several ways. If this is slide audio, the clip is visible on the timeline and right-click menu has an option Edit. Another way is to find the clip in the Library, and the right-click menu on its name has more options, not only Edit in Captivate, but you can also use another application which I would recommend. The audio editor in Captivate is pretty limited, I'm using Audition, but Audacity is free to use.
    For an easy way to have a fade out (you can time it, not the way of fading like in a real audio editor), you don't even need the audio editor in Captivate. Look in the Properties panel, part Audio and you'll have Fade in and Fade out.

  • How do you apply the same transformation to multiple layers?

    I've been using PS for years and never had to do this before.
    I have a 3D image of a tradeshow exhibit and I want to drop in a lot of different mocks for backgrounds. The 3D is in a slight perspective and I need to transform all the mocks to fit that space.
    So how do I link my backgrounds and apply the same "skew" or free transform to all of the layers?
    PS version CC 14.2.1 x64

    What exactly am I alt+dragging?
    My mistake.  I was thinking about filters and alt-dragging them to a new layer.  For a transform, you most likely will want to make one master SO, apply the transformation, then make duplicates via copy from the layer flyout menu.  Then you can replace the content with the other layers.

  • How do I hide the background when I shape an image in 3D?

    This is a problem that has cropped up before but I'm going to simulate it.
    Say in this instance I want to overlay the picture of a kitten over a ball image. I've already extracted (roughly) the background from the kitten picture. I want to use 3D to warp it to the shape of a sphere but I've still got the ball's default background colour as well. How do I hide the background colour of the ball entirely so only the, warped, image of the kitten is visible to overlay over the ball image?
         When I wrap the kitten image onto a 3D sphere mesh preset I get the default background
         And when I try to overlay it over the 2D ball image the background prevents correct overlaying. I want just the kitten pic
    Thanks

    You apply the texture to the transparency of the material.

  • How do you change the background color not of the video clip, but the background the clip is on?

    How do you change the background color upon which the clip resides...
    I don't want to change anything within the clip itself, but the matte(?)
    from black to white or cream.
    I am working with Elements 10...

    Create a color matte of the desired color and place it on video track 1.  Then place your video on track 2.
    from here: Adobe Premiere Elements Help | Creating specialty clips
    Create a colored matte for a background
    You can create a clip consisting of a full‑frame matte of solid color, which you can use as a solid background for titles or animated clips.
    Brightly colored mattes can serve as temporary backgrounds to help you see transparency more clearly while you adjust a key effect.
    Click Project Assets.
    In the Project Assets panel, click New Item from the panel options and choose Color Matte.
    Choose a color in the Adobe Color Picker dialog box, and click OK.
    A color matte clip is placed into both the Project Assets panel and the Expert view timeline.

    Hello!
    There is no need to flatten the file, but you can create a layer that merges all the content of the image, and apply the filter on that layer.
    Target the topmost layer, by holding the Option and . (period) keys, then create a merged copy by holding down Command Shift Option E.

  • How to change the selection background color of the selected item in the popup menu of the choice box ?

    How to change the selection background color of the selected item in the popup menu of the choice box ?
    By defaut, the selection background color likes "blue", but if I want it to be "yellow" for example, how should I do ?
    Thanks

    The id is applied by (I think) the skin class of the ChoiceBox. You don't need to define it.
    You have to apply the css in an external style sheet. You can apply the external style sheet to any parent of your choice box, or to the scene (the most usual way to do it).
    Example:
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    import java.util.List;
    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.ChoiceBox;
    import javafx.scene.layout.VBox;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    public class ChoiceBoxTest extends Application {
      @Override
      public void start(Stage primaryStage) throws Exception {
        primaryStage.setTitle("Example 2");
        final ChoiceBox<String> choiceBox = new ChoiceBox<>();
        List<String> tempResult = new ArrayList<String>();
        for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
          tempResult.add("Item " + i);
        choiceBox.getItems().setAll(tempResult);
        VBox root = new VBox();
        root.getChildren().add(choiceBox);
        final Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250);
        scene.getStylesheets().add("choiceBox.css");
        primaryStage.setScene(scene);
        primaryStage.show();
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        launch(args);
    choiceBox.css:
    @CHARSET "UTF-8";
    #choice-box-menu-item:focused  {
    -fx-background-color: yellow ;
    #choice-box-menu-item .label {
    -fx-text-fill: black ;

  • How do I apply the NavBar style to Additional Toolbars?

    I created an additional Toolbar using Customize... but the Navigation Bar has button backgrounds how do I apply that style to my new Toolbar?

    thanks. I'll give some of that a try. I'm assuming I can apply a stroke to all the layers just by selecting them all and then doing Edit > Stroke (I think that's where strok lives, I'm not in front of Photoshop at the moment.) I don't understand "reapply those layers as frames", but I'll see if I can figure it out. Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.

  • How do I create a master track from my tracks in garage band?

    How do I create a master track in garage band

    Hi Bing,
    Are you asking about the master track which controls the global settings in a GarageBand project?  Here is the information from the GarageBand user manual:
    GarageBand Help: Work with the master track
    http://help.apple.com/garageband/mac/10.0/#gbnd5e8076d0
    Work with the master track
    Each GarageBand project has a master track. When you show the master track, it appears below the last track in the Tracks area.
    You can control the overall playback volume of a project using the Volume slider in the control bar or on the master track. Both sliders act as a master volume control for the overall project.
    Generally speaking, you should adjust the output volume to a level high enough to eliminate background noise, but not high enough to cause clipping. You can check for clipping by watching the clipping indicators in the master level meter.
    You can easily add a fade-out to the end of a project, so that the sound gradually fades to silence.
    When you add a fade-out, four control points are added to the master track for the project. The first control point is added 10 seconds before the end of the last region in the project, the second at 7 seconds, the third at 4 seconds, and the fourth at the end of the last region.
    Show the master track
    Choose Track > Show Master Track.
    The master track appears below the last track in the Tracks area.
    Cheers,
    - Judy
