  • How to get the list of icc profile,which Photoshop loaded?

    I am developing a automation plugin,but I do not know how to get the list of icc profile,which photoshop loaded.
    I have read the log of "getter" and "Listener",and not find the way to get the list.

    Thank you for you answer.
    I find a icc profile has a "internal name" which show in the color setting menu in photoshop and a "external name" which is the file name. And the "internal name" maybe different with "external name".
    How I can get the "internal name" from the icc profile? I do not find the information in the ICC Profile Format Specification.
    Thank you very much!

  • Could anyone please let me know how to set a ICC profile with Acrobat dlls using Csharp or VB

    Could anyone please let me know how to set a ICC profile with Acrobat dlls using Csharp or VB

    Cant we even use the dlls in an application?
    In order to automate Acrobat, you need to have Acrobat installed. There is
    nothing you can do with just the DLLs. As was already stated, Acrobat is
    not licensed for use on a server, but regardless of that, it's also
    not technically suitable for server use. You need to find a solution
    outside of Acrobat to solve your problem.
    It also seems that you don't have a good understanding of what is going in
    inside a PDF file. PDF is a very complex file format, and based on
    your questions
    and followup questions, you need to spend a considerable amount of time
    getting familiar with the PDF file format to understand how color works in
    the PDF context. Reader the PDF spec, while paying special attention to the
    section about color. You will find out that if you want to convert the
    color space of a "PDF file", you actually need to convert the color space
    associated with every single object in your PDF file. That is fairly simple
    for vector graphic and text, but when it comes to images, you may have to
    convert the image data. Once you have a good understanding of what it is
    you need to do within the PDF file, then you can start looking for tools
    that allow you to do that. Again, Acrobat and therefore the Acrobat SDK is
    not suitable for this task. If you want to stay with Adobe products take a
    serious look at the PDF Library, which his licensed through Datalogics (
    http://www.datalogics.com/products/pdf/pdflibrary/). As you've mentioned,
    there are other, non-Adobe PDF libraries that you can also use, but this is
    the Acrobat SDK forum, so I won't discuss any of those 3rd party solutions.
    You are wasting your time while looking for a simple solution that does not
    exist.

    How long does it take to typically down load a movie on Apple TV

    That depends on the length of the movie, the resolution, and the speed of the Internet connection.

    This is a known, ans ongoing issue. Rest assured you're not the only one affected. There are several threads here already discussing this, I suggest searhing them out if you want more details, and possible work-arounds for locally hosted content.

  • I need to uninstall downloaded version of Elements 12 on a computer, then install Elements 12 on the same computer directly from a disk. Elements 11 was previously used on same computer, and the albums and library had been moved to the first installation

    I need to uninstall downloaded version of Elements 12 on a computer, then install Elements 12 on the same computer directly from a disk. Elements 11 was previously used on same computer, and the albums and library had been moved to the first installation of 12, which I am removing. How do I correctly unstall the old Elements 12, and install the new elements 12 from disk, and retain all albums and libraries from the old Elements 12?

    You're welcome.  It was not an answer, it was a question, and it could lead to being helpful if you explain why you think you need to uninstall.
    As far as uninstalling goes, you will uninstall it like you do for any program, which depends on what kind of operating system you have.  If you wish to retain albums and whatnot, maybe the following link can provide some guidance.

  • How to apply ICC profiles on all the photos in preset before printing.   and user preset

    Hi,
    hope someone can point me to the right direction..  I have 2 questions about ICC profiles and settings in lightroom.
    1.)  I found that many photos that I have is a little two blue.  There are thousands of photos.  I would like to know if there is a way in Lightroom to "Autobatch" the changes to all those photos.
    The changes are under "white balance" -> "temp"  ->  (need to increase by 2)
    2.)  I will send out the photos to print .  According to the photo stores tech, I can apply their ICC (printer/paper) profiles before sending the files to them.  So, it will have better match how the photos come out.
    Last time I printed some photos with them, many of the come out too dark.   But it looks fine on screen, and a little too red if I use my own inkject printer.  I hope I correct this.
    If it cannot be done in lightroom, it can only be done with Photoshop, please let me know.  I will try to use other computer with PS installed.   just let me know the steps.
    Thanks in advance.

    I would sugget two UI changes:
    1. The enable / disable is confusing - the toggle switch to turn it on, changes the button label to "Auto Sync" to indicate that it is on. But, this is highly un-conventional and confusing - usually a button label indicates what will happen when you click, not that it is on, and clicking it will actually turns it off - bass-freakin'-ackwards if you ask me!... (Add to it the toggle switch tooltip is the same in both cases - indicating that the switch will enable it, when actually, in one case it will enable, but in the other case it will disable...)
    2. Some simple UI difference that you can't ignore but doesn't bug the ship out of you either, when auto-sync is on: maybe a red-tint to the slider draggers or something...
    Summary: Once you use something other than the button label to indicate Auto-Sync is on, then you can change the button label to read "Auto Sync Off". And if the On indication has an "ommi-present" quality to it - so much the better.

  • Failing to apply ICC profiles with xcalib and dispwin

    I created two ICC profiles under Windows 7 for my laptop and external display and also two using LPROF.
    When I try to activate a profile in xmonad with Intel graphics, nothing happens. I used these commands:
    xcalib -d :0 .color/icc/laptop.icc
    dispwin -d 0 .color/icc/laptop.icc
    xcalib doesn't show any errors. dispwin outputs:
    Dispwin: Warning - No vcgt tag found in profile - assuming linear
    This applies to all four profiles and both displays.
    At least the LPROF profiles do work fine in GIMP when set via its preferences.
    Not sure if this is relevant: I quickly looked at gnome-color-manager running Xubuntu. There I opened gcm-viewer and clicked on both of its default profiles and I also didn't see any changes.
    Any help appreciated!

    It's unrelated to MediaTrackers. You can see faint images of what the original images details were. It's almost like the brightness got cranked way down and then it got set to grayscale. I'm obviously not using the camera ICC profile correctly.
    ICC profiles are related to "color management". I.e., the process that supposedly allows you to make what you get out of a digital camera look the same as what you see on the monitor and what you see on the printer. Each device has an "ICC profile" to compensate for that device's color "quirks".
    Kodak donated some of their color management expertise to Sun for Java (which also explains the bizarre class and variable naming if you look up the ICC_Profile class :-)

  • How to set "embed icc Profile" option  to export document as JPEG

    Hi All,
    While exporting the document as jpeg, through File->Export, there is an option "Embed ICC Profile" as figure shows.
    How to set it if I am exporting the document through my program in which I rasterize the document and used
    the sAIImage->AsJPEG(raster, jpegDataFilter, params);
    I didn't find any option in AIRasterizeSettings or AIImageOptJPEGParams to set this flag.
    plz anyone suggest me how to do so.
    Thanks,
    Rud.

    thanks for you through out help.
    I use the folowing code which executing properly,but there is no effect on JPEG whether the value of jpegparam.s.jpeg.embedICCProfile is 0 or 1.
    /////Start
    ASOptimizationSettings jpegparam;
    jpegparam.fileFormat = asffJPEG;
    jpegparam.s.jpeg.embedICCProfile = isICCProfileEmbeded;
    ASInt32 optID;
    optID = sAIOptSet->GetUniqueOptimizationSettingsID();
    error = sAIOptSet->SetOptimizationSettings(optID, &jpegparam); // after executing this line error = 0
    /////End
    I guess it would  work when we export document as jpeg through AIActionManagerSuite
    not with  rasterizing the layer's art and then exporting them as JPEG  using AsJPEG().
    thanks

  • How to set the ICC profile in LR to be the same as PS?

    Hi Adobe,
    Why do my images look much darker and contrasty in LR(4.3) then they do on PS(CS6) where they have far more tonal range? I'm looking at them side by side on the same screen. I know it has to do with ICC profiles but I can't find how you set that in LR. Any help would be appreciated. An example can be viewed here: http://mikedodd.co.uk/other/temp/Screen%20shot%202013-01-22%20at%2023.06.52.jpg You can see how much better the top (PS) image is.
    Thanks
    Mike

    I'm not familiar with that model, but don't all Coloredges come with Color navigator software and sensor? No need to use third-party calibrators, the results are guaranteed to be much better using the Eizo calibrator. I use Eizo easypix on a pair of Flexscans, and the results are vastly better than using Spyder 3 and ColorEyes Display Pro (which I also have).
    In any case the Spyder 2 is not a good sensor. It quickly got a bad reputation and rightly so (I have one sitting in the back of a drawer). Things improved tremendously with the Spyder 3, and now the 4 is out.
    The general consensus, however, is that the best "mainstream" third-party calibrator currently on the market is the x-rite i1 Display Pro. If this is what you need to use, maybe it's time to retire the Spyder 2?
    Most real-world images contain parts that are out of gamut for sRGB, you'll quickly get used to that. But it can still look good. With a little work, it's possible to make almost anything look good inside sRGB. Consider that almost all monitors have a native color space very close to sRGB. Only the so-called wide gamut monitors (I'm not sure if yours is one) exceed that. But with a standard monitor, what you see is already sRGB.
    Relative intent "hard-clips" everything outside the target space gamut, but OTOH preserves everything in-gamut unchanged. Perceptual compresses near the gamut border, sometimes resulting in slight color and tonal changes. The difference isn't dramatic, I never bother with intent, but leave it on relative and deal with clipping when necessary (that is, if you lose desired texture and detail).

  • How do i find icc profile for HP paper

    I have a Cannon MG5400 and am looking to install the correct ICC profile. Looking for help to find the correct profile and install it.

    You would normally download icc profiles from the paper manufacturer's website or use the profiles installed by the printer driver (for papers from the same company as made your printer). However, since HP makes printers themselves I would be extremely surprised if they supply profiles for non-HP printers.

  • How do i accept adobe reader i down loaded it a few times

    How do i accept adobe reader after nine time of down loading it i still can't down load my books. it's important to me.

    Ah, Ok. In that case you are trying to install it again, either because you went to the web site again (don't) or because you went to DOWNLOADS and ran what you found there. You only do that once.
    Now it is installed, you need to LAUNCH it. Which means run it from Applications or Launch Pad (if you have a Mac).

  • After starting up a brand new 10.8.2 iMac it linked to an older iMac, 15 hrs later I have a duplicate screen of 10.6.8; how to get rid of all that down load and free up the new iMac?

    After starting up a brand new imac it down loaded off an older 10.6.8 running imac for 15 hiurs, now I have a duplicate of the older; how to dump all the older stuff and get my new imac?

    OK. Log into your migrated account. Open Users & Groups preferences, click on the lock icon and authenticate.
    Click on the Add [-] button and create a new account. Make it an Administrative account and name it whatever you want (but not the same as your current account) and set it up to login automatically. Log out of your current account and log into the new account. Now, select your migrated account and click on the Delete [-] button to remove it. Select the bottom option to delete immediately. DO NOT select the option to erase securely.
    Now, you can choose to migrate again from your old account but be more selective of what you migrate or you can simply copy over the data you want.

  • How to stream my library, and not down load to a-tv.

    how can i stream my libary and not down load everything to my apple tv?
    Also, my remote app on iphone will not play video from my imac onto apple tv?- it plays it on the imac but nothing on apple tv.

    The info posted on the Apple site is not 100% correct. A computer set up to sync will not also stream. It's one or the other. At least with the latest version of AppleTV. I found this out after an hour on the phone with Apple support.
    And, the first computer has to sync, not stream (I believe).
