How do I approve family purchases

I Missed my sons family request for permission to download a game. How do I approve His request?

Hello andrewmarkp,
With Family Sharing, you can approve purchases with the Ask To Buy feature. The following article provides helpful information:
Family purchases and payments - Apple Support
Approving purchases with Ask to Buy
You can turn on Ask to Buy to require approval for purchases initiated by any family member who is under 18 years old.*
iOS 8
Tap Settings > iCloud > Family, and tap your family member's name.
Turn on Ask to Buy.
OS X Yosemite
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
Click Manage Family and select your family member's name.
Select Ask to Buy.
Ask to Buy is enabled by default for any children under 13 years old, and can be enabled during the setup process for any children 13-17 years old.* You can't turn on Ask to Buy for adults.
If you don't wish to be billed for purchases initiated by a specific adult family member, you can remove that family member from the family group.
*Ages may vary by country or region.
Family Sharing requires a personal Apple ID signed in to iCloud and iTunes. Music, movies, TV shows, and books can be downloaded on up to 10 devices per account, five of which can be computers. iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite are required to set up or join a Family Sharing group and are recommended for full functionality. Not all content is eligible for Family Sharing. Content can be hidden by family members; hidden content is not available for download. Content downloaded from family members or acquired via redemption codes is not subject to Ask to Buy.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

  • How do I stop family purchases defaulting to my credit card?

I have set up family sharing and the first thing that happened was that my grown up daughter immediately bought an app for £32 which was charged to my credit card - she hadn't intended to; in fact she thought she was downloading a similar app that I already own under family sharing (I have since shown her how to download shared apps!!).
It's a great feature for sharing purchases, but why Apple have decided you need to share a single credit card, I have no idea.
Is there any way to make sure other family members default to their own payment method and/or set a limit on the shared credit card to zero?

  • How to cancel approved (draft) purchase order prior to adding it

Please help with this scenario..... We have a purchase order approval in place for service purchase orders. User entered one line of PO correct and then on second line, entered something in description but did not enter GL account code.
Purchase order followed approval stage and is now approved, however since PO line does not have GL account we receive error regarding missing GL account.
Problem is now that PO is approved we cannot update it and we also cannot cancel the purchase order draft since it is approved.
    What do we do??

    Hi Keith,
I'm afraid it is not possible to delete a document which has been going through the approval process.
What you can do is to add the PO and then cancel it.

  • How can I use family sharing, but allow my daughter to purchase with her iTunes allowance without asking permission?

I love the idea of iTunes family sharing, but I don't think it currently supports my situation.
My daughter's iTunes account gets a monthly allowance (plus occasional gift cards), and does not have a credit card tied to it. That way, she can buy whatever she wants, but only with her existing account balance.
I'd like to tie her account to mine via family sharing, but want to keep her spending limited to just her allowance balance. Also, I don't need to grant permission each time she wants to buy something when using her balance. Ideally, she would be permitted to buy exactly as she does now (no permission necessary, no credit card on the account, and only using allowance funds), but also be tied my family account to listen to music I've already bought.
It appears that my 3 options are:
Do not do family sharing and keep the accounts separate.
Tie the accounts together, put "ask to buy" on her account, and then get bugged for permission each time she wants to get something (as well as keep track myself of her going over her allowance and dipping into my credit card).
Tie the accounts together, don't use "ask to buy", and keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't spend more than her allowance amount (because iTunes would permit spending more than that and charge my card).
Options 2 and 3 don't work for me, and option 1 doesn't take advantage of family sharing.
Can I have a family sharing account that *doesn't* charge to my credit card?

    Hello jeffchr,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you don't want to be billed for a family members purchases. I would recommend that you read these articles, they explain the features options.
    Family Sharing
All new iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases initiated by family members will be billed to the family organizer’s account.
    Family purchases and payments
    Making purchases
After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card.
How iTunes Store purchases are billed
Which payment methods will be used first?
When you make a purchase, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits. Your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

As you connect your ipod to iTunes, an option in the upper right of the screen will appear. When you click this, it will show the different menu for your ipod.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
If you are wondering how using multiple Apple IDs relate to iCloud, see Apple IDs and iCloud.

  • How do I MERGE the purchases of two iTunes accounts into one Family Share?

We have purchased many apps via two iTunes accounts.  How do we merge these purchases into on Family Share account

    Hi MacHead2010,
I am not quite sure exactly what you mean by your question. It is not possible to merge two iTunes Store accounts. See this article for reference -

Using Family Sharing, however, does allow all members of a Family Sharing group to use the content such as music, apps, etc on each other's devices.

  • How to troubleshoot approval workflow of a rejected purchase order

    Hi,
We are working in oracle applications 11i.
I have a purchase order with status rejected that has hanged up in the system. The user rejected PO and the document has not been transferred to the PO buyer. From the application forms -> Forward documents window, I can see that neither the user who rejected or the buyer has the document.
From System Administrator responsibility I can see that the workflow administrator can modify a PO that is only IN PROCESS,
    what shall I do?

  • Paid Folios in-app purchase. How long to approve?

    Please,
I would like to know about the experience that other users when submit folios to sell by in-app purchase. How apple needs approve these follios before upload to app store.
Usually how long Apple get to approve?
    Thanks

    Richard,
I'm actually going through this issue myself, wating for an IAP to be approved by Apple and I was under the impression that just the Product IDs get approved. But according to this thread at http://adobe.hosted.jivesoftware.com/message/4059543, specifically point #7 by Bob Bringhurst, that's not the case. Each folio gets downloaded, looked at, and then approved/rejected.
I've been waiting for 4 days already on my IAP and nothing yet. It's really wreaking havoc with my newsstand dates.
My next question is how to pre-load IAPs and get them mass-approved ahead of time. Is that even possible? What consititues being "on developer hold" as you mention?
My best-case scenario is to have several of my magazine issue IAPs in the Approved state by Apple, then hit Publish via DPS each month when the issues become complete and have them magically appear on-time each month.
Is this possible? Am I even understanding the process correctly? Thanks in advance for anyone's help!
    Cheers,
    CAL

  • How do I cancel a purchase that I didn't approve

How do I cancel a purchase that I didn't approve

Any app that is purchased with your Apple ID - that must have used your password in order to download it - is considered to be approved by the terms of sale in the app store and iTunes - or else how could the purchase have been made?
Was your ID used and your password entered? If so, you approved it. If someone else installed an app or made a purchase without your approval - that's not Apple!s fault.

How can I use "Family Sharing" without giving details of my credit or debit card? I do not want to give my cards data, I have always used iTunes prepaid cards.

    Hi Saramos,
When setting up Family Sharing you must have a credit or debit card as your payment method. See this article for reference -
    Family purchases and payments
When a family member makes a purchase it will be billed to any gift or store credit that they have first. If none exists it will be billed to you.
As the family organizer, you may not set your billing method for purchases to anything other than a credit or debit card. If you have a store credit such as from pre-paid cards, it may not be shared with other family members. See this article for reference -

  • How do I use family sharing on a PC?

How do I download family members purchases on a PC after I have set up Family Sharing in iOS 8?

    Hi garbug,
You would set up limits with Restrictions on the desired device.

    From

…the organizer can also limit the content kids have access to on their devices through Restrictions on an iOS device or parental controls in OS X and iTunes.

  • How can I delete the purchased books list in iBook?

How can I delete the purchased books list in iBook?

    Hi,
Yes you are miss understanding the problem.  To clarify. The problem is not how to delete the book from a device, it is how to delete the puchase (i.e. the history).  You can hide it in your account settings, but you cannot delete it. So if you buy something on a shared account (i.e. a family account like mine), your children can see and download any of your puchases - forever.
Some will say it's for your protection.  A bit like the shop looking after your receipt, so that you cannot lose it.
However, I thought that as part of the data protection act, you could ask for this information kept about you to be deleted, but this doesn't apply to Apple purchases.  Believe me I've tried.
