How did you do that?
I didn't try to make that happen, but no matter how I re-arranged albums using MartyLightroom's suggestion (below now), all of the iPhoto synchronized albums appear only in alphabetical order.

How do I go about using my mac mini with a dial up internet connection? I am soon to be moving to a rural area and dial up will be my only internet option. Please be very specific in your answer as I am not a very tech savvy fellow. Thank you for your help.

Very hard to find one now, but it has the advantage that it connects to the ethernet ports of up to two computers, rather than using a less reliable usb connection.

Use of LOG MINER - VERY URGENT

I have a situation:
I want to recover the database till Friday (Last week).
I am ready to loose the data of Sat/Sun/Mon and Tuesday.
In other words, I need to get the Friday's database state. I have backups of last 30 days. My database is running in archivelog mode.
Can I use the LOGMINER to go back to the Friday's state? If yes then HOW? I have never used the Log miner neither I have been involved in the recovery, so pleaes guide me!!!
If anyone knows the answer and the methodology can they suggest it to me? It will be a greate help!!!!

you got it wrong as you think that you will able to go back on friday's database state through logminer.i would say that logminer is used to get the information from the redo log as it got the historic changes about the database,so log miner is used for variety of purposes.
1.the cahnges made to the database (insert,update,delete,ddl)
2.the scn at which the changes were made.
3.the scn at which the changes were commited.
4.the name of the user who issued the the changes etc.
so you can get these information by using log miner either throgh command based utility or oem.log miner gives you a pin point information.assume that if you don't know the time and name of the dropped table what would you do to get around these sort of problem.
you can do one thing with log miner is that you cab get scn no of corrosponding changes which dropped the table.
and you can restore your database prior to thaat scn no.
suppode you get the scn no abc of that changes.
then
run {
set until scn (the no u get through log miner );
restore database ;
recover database ;
you get the disired state of database which you willing to accomplish.
i still feel that your one question remain unanswerd.in which is you saying that i diden't recieve the media failure and your database is still up and running smothly.
so dear i would love to tell you if want to performa theses sort of recoveries then you need to restore your database this is mendetory.the reason is "trancation activity can only be rolled forward to desired time not rolled back to desired time this is why you need to restore all your database files to back in desired time."

I'm planning a trip to Canada. I'm receiving conflicting information from Verizon on whether my Droid Mini is global ready or not. The International Trip Planner tells me You can use the DROID Mini 4G LTE Black to voice, text and data in all selected countries. Wireless Coverage in Canada and Mexico will be improved using a Global-Ready device. If you're upgrading, we recommend 4G LTE Global-Ready device. When I log in to My Verizon and navigate to My Global Device & Services, I am not able to select any global service for my Droid Mini, and I see the message This phone is designed to run on the network technology available in the US and more than 25 other countries (primarily in North America, the Carribean and some Asian countries). It's not designed to roam in the majority of international countries. The paperwork and manuals that I received with my Droid Mini indicate that the Droid Mini is a global ready phone that can be used in more than 200 countries.
So, is the Droid Mini a global ready phone, and will I be able to roam on GSM networks in Canada with 3G data service, rather than 2G?

A trip to Canada sounds very fun! No worries with your phone - Canada uses the same technology we use here in the USA, which is called CDMA, and your phone absolutely supports it. In addition to that, many other countries support a technology called GSM, and your phone is able to connect to that as well. If you refer to the specs listed for your phone you will see both CDMA and GSM band frequencies listed under the Network section. Canada has started utilizing some GSM technology, and that may be where the confusion is coming in to play, but either way your phone will be able to be used while traveling.
Your line may need to have a free feature called International Dialing added to it before your trip so you can use your phone outside of the country. Please give us a call at 1-800-922-0204 and we'll make sure you've got it!

Replace Battery in Droid Mini

Having trouble with a Droid Mini's battery life. Purchased it September 2013; battery life is now about a quarter of what it was.
In the past, I have simply replaced the battery and solved the problem. I cannot seem to find any adequate guides or videos showing how to replace the battery in the Droid Mini. I called customer support and after 55 minutes they ensured me there was nothing wrong with the phone. I manage all applications and tasks and have reset the phone, but nothing helps. Please help, still 9 months until I can upgrade.

Unfortunately the only videos I've found on the web, regarding this battery
replacement, seem to umbrella the Mini, Ultra, and Maxx under the same
group.
The problem is that the Mini is totally different once you get that back
cover off. I can see those videos helping Ultra and Maxx users, but it
doesn't help me. Perhaps you found one in your searches that actually
involves a Mini; if so, please link!

how can i remove pictures from my droid turbo without having to use the touch screen on the phone at all? my screen is cracked and i am waiting on a replacement phone. as far as i can tell in order to access the phone storage through my computer, i have to use the touchscreen to enable it so that the computer will see it as a camera. I can't do that as the top half of the touschscreen is unresponsive. any suggestions? teaches me to use the backup services offered in the future, but i still need a short term solution for this time.

I'm sorry to hear your screen is cracked spence425. I know its difficult to use the phone while its damaged. I'm happy you are receiving a replacement device. Have you saved any of your pictures and other data to the cloud? Here is a link about the cloud http://vz.to/1mF0GIx . Unfortunately, you will be unable to remove any data from the phone if the screen is unresponsive but if you are looking to transfer data to your new phone, it would have needed to be saved via the cloud first. How could I arrange control images in a report?

I appended 4 control images to a report using Append Control Image to Report. I wanted to lay two of these images in the first line and the other two in the second line. But the result of my program was one image in one line. (BTW, I did not use any New Report Line). How could I arrange control images?

Mike is right, unless the images are too wide, the report VIs will put them next to each other on the same line.
Please find the attached example that appends two charts on the HTML report. Open the .htm file with the web browser. If you make the browser window smaller, the charts will move one below the other.

When starting my MAC on the home page with my icons-- how do I arrange icons alphabetically left to right

How does one arrange icons from left to right ala Windows. I would like the Mac disk icon in the upper left of the window followed by app and file icons to appear in alphabetical order from left to right. I know it will go vertically and then to the next row. I have been reading English like this for over 60 yrs and the default set-up gives an old man a large pain in the head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think they do it to be a pain in the ***. There is no reason to have people read in reverse alpha order. Some countries read right to left but here it's reversed. You think the geniuses here would figure out how to make allowance for that in their software.
I love the mac mini's size, etc, but using mac in general has made me nuts. I don't understand how people think it's intuitive. I find myself taking a ridiculous amount of steps to get anything done, but it may just be me. I know some people just love them.

The tip below can also be use straight off in iTunes.
First you create a playlist (not Smart Playlist).
Drag in a couple of songs/videos you want for your devices into the list.
Select your playlist under PLAYLISTS on the iTunes left panel.
Click the top left column above the 1,2,3..., it is the column left of Name. (You will see ascending or descending arrow head)
Arrange the list content the way you want it by dragging the songs/video in the list up or down.
Select your device under DEVICE on the left panel in iTunes.
Select Music tab and make sure your new playlist is included for Syncing
Sync.
