How do I assign keywords to groups of photos?

apologies in advance if this has been answered, I can't see how to search the forum first before posing the question.
I recently bought a DSLR. my photography habit is exploding and I'm creating a lot more photos. I need to be more diligent about organizing them and realized I should be using keywords.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I can tell you need to select each individual photo to assign a keyword. Is this true? Can I not select >1 photos (group, whole event, etc.) and assign a single keyword to them all at once?
With 5000+ photos, assigning one keyword at a time makes the feature useless!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It's relatively easy. Select the photos you want to assign keywords to and type Command+K. The keyword pane will come up and you'll be able to select one or more keywords to assign to the selected photos.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Select a Photo in the iPhoto Window and click on the 'i' button lower right. This uncovers the Info Panel, and you can assign a Place there. Search on the name of the place and then move the pin to where you want it. This is all covered in the Help and in the tutorials.

In Develop you can highlight a group of thumbnails in the filmstrip, then right-click and choose Develop Settings -> Auto Tone
In Library you can highlight a group of thumbnails in the Grid and click the Auto Tone button in the Quick Develop area.
What you can’t do is click the Auto button in Develop and have it do more than one photo—this is by design, except, maybe if you have Auto Sync enabled.

Iif the photos were synced to the iPad they can only be removed by connecting to iTunes on your computer, unselecting the photos folder that you synced to the iPad and then follow that with a sync.
IF the photos are in the camera roll, open the camera roll album, tap the as select button in the upper right corner, tap on each photo that you want to delete in order to select them and then tap the trash can icon.

This reply doesn't reflect the iMovie '11 interface. This looks like the older versions, which allowed the user to toggle Advanced Tools. iMovie '11 does not have this option, and there are no Inspect or Keyword buttons available. I've searched all over YouTube and Google trying to find an answer to what seems to be a common and simple problem. Was the keyword capability removed from iMovie 10.0.x versions?

Lightroom 3- How do I batch process a group of photos with the same preset?

Using Lightroom 3/Mac. Attempting to apply a preset to a group of photos. I read the forum already but what I read didn't make sense to me. Sorry. Also wondering if anyone else is plagued by Lightroom's tendency to take over the monitor. Whenever I want to switch to another application, I end up having to "Hide Lightroom" to get it to move. Any thoughts?

This error is reported to the provider but we haven't solution yet and we need a workaround and I would like to know how is done the relationship between the role visitor and the assigned groups, is this information in LDAP? who I can introduce this relationship manually?

I have the role visitor created. I am trying to assign a group to the role visitor in PAT, but when I selected the Siteminder Provider to view all the groups this error happens.
The Siteminder error is recognized by Siteminder as a bug and is making a patch (5 months ago) and we haven't answer yet, and then I would like to find a workaround to this problem.
I try it with the API but Oracle recognize me another bug when I try to create a visitor role for Enterprise Scoped Applicaction, only works in Web Application scope. (1 month ago)
And then the last solution is doing this assign manually... and I would like to know how I can do it in LDAP (if LDAP is the repository of this information)

How do you preserve keywords from imported/copied photos?

I feel like I'm missing something here! How do I keep the keywords attached to photos that are then copied into a new document? I'm using Bridge and Photoshop CS3. Thank you in advance for any help!

Hmm, I’ve never noticed such keyword-transfer – have You observed that happening on copy-pasting or dragging?
Maybe someone else has an easier way that avoids Scripting altogether but in case not You could ask in the Photoshop Scripting-forum.
What kind of info would You want to accumulate anyway – keywords, author, title, …?
I seem to remember reading something about layers being able to store individual metadata in CS4, though I’m unsure what use that might be as yet.
P.S.: I hope by »linking as a smart object« You don’t express the assumption that the SOs stay linked to external files.

It is not possible to assign more tha six actvities to a cost center as per SVK defined in the WC.
Check with the business process field for assign with your CO guy in thw WC.
A business procedure within an enterprise that uses resources and can involve activities from a number of different cost centers in a controlling area.
When executing a business process, activities can be utilized for several cost centers of a controlling area.

The Tcode is tied to a Program & you can assign the Program to an Authorization Group via its attributes. I don't think there is an option to directly attach a Tcode to an Authn Group.

Apple Pro training series advises to assign keywords to multiple photos, to simply use CMD A to select all photos, then drag
keyword over one of the photos and it should be assigned to all. When I do that the keyword is only assigned to the
one photo that it is dragged to.. not all. How do I do that?

Turn off "Primary Only". The tuturial seems designed to trip users up at this point.
Since you are working your way through it, I leave figuring out how to do it as an exercise (but you might examine the Tool Strip).

How to remove a keyword from a group of photos

I want to remove a keyword from a group of photos. They all have the same keyword attached, of course. When I right-click keyword and choose 'Remove keyword from selected photos' it removes the keyword from the most-selected photo ONLY, not from all photos that are selected. I have to remove the keyword from each photo one at a time.
I'm running LR 5.6 on a Mac.

Its not possible, rather you should create a combination of Requests/RequestSets and create a new Request Group.
