How do I attach a file to a Template

I want to create a template for my users and I want to attach a file to the template that will appear everytime someone uses the template. I attached the file to the template and then saved the template but the attachment does not appear. Does anyone know
how to do this or if the functionality exists?

Hi DDubie,
Thanks for your post.
As far as I know there’s no such a default feature to appear an attached file in process template. We suggest you add the file content into ProcessTemplate.xml file>> <description> section, then upload the process template into TFS collection.
When user create new team project using this customized process template, the will see the customized description content in
New Team project wizard dialog>>Select a Progress Template step.

Glad you got it working! Incidentally, if you have a relatively new Apple mouse (Magic Mouse or Mighty Mouse should work), you should be able to enable right-click, if you'd like it, by going to System Preferences - Mouse - and turning on "Secondary click". Third-party mice, like Logitech or Microsoft, should have right-click automatically.

  • How do I attach photo files to email message in iPhoto '11?

Apple says, "If you want recipients to be able to use the photos you send, rather than simply view them, you can attach the photo files to your email message. (BUT HOW?) Recipients can then download the photos from the email message and print them, use them in their own projects, and so on."
How do I attach these files when sending an email of photos using iPhoto? (I don't want to use AppleMail, I know how to do it in AppleMail) When I click to Share my photos via email in iPhoto, I do not see any option rbutton to add files to make the photos easily downloadable for the recipient.  Anyone know how to do this?  Thanks!

Not sure why you can't deselect the option, but I would guess that yes, the files are being attached.
Who are you sending to? iPhoto sends HTML emails and not every application on Windows or Mac knows how to deal with them, for instance, nor every user.

You will (often) see a preview of the attachment, depending upon the file type.  To get rid of the preview: control click on the attachment select "View as icon".
(What the recipient of your message sees is dictated by that person's email application.  If you want to make sure the person gets an attachement which is not previewed, you can zip it (control-click, "Compress...") and then attach the zipped file(s).  Or you can try something like Attachment Tamer.)

This question has been asked and answered several times already.
Any file attached to an e-mail message is an attachment. There is no other possibility -- the mail protocol does not allow it.
However, different e-mail clients may have different ways of displaying or viewing attachments, depending on their settings and the type of file attached.

  • How do I attach a file to an existing email?

On the ipad 3 or any ipad, how do you attach a file to an existing email?

    @ adobe-admin (J.C.?):
Thanks for fixing the "backslash" error. Accuracy is important, and doubly so when presented as an F.A.Q.
The sad thing is how prevalent the usage of "backslash" is when a plain old slash is meant (generally, the "forward" attribute is assumed and unneeded), and by people who should know better. It's a direct result of people knowing just barely enough about the Windows file path naming protocols, and then applying the only terminology they're familiar with incorrectly to URLs.
I went about 10 rounds—TWICE!—with a labyrinthian succession of people at the Discovery & History cable TV networks because they were saying "backslash" in voice overs whenever their commercials promoted their websites. It took some doing, but I finally got in touch with somebody who was savvy enough to recognize that it was a rookie mistake made by a clueless marketing copywriter. The voice over person just read the copy they were given, oblivious to the difference. It amazes me that it wasn't caught by somebody early in the recording/production process and rectified.
They then had it correct for about a year, until new commercials started popping up with the same error. Unfortunately, the person I had talked to previously no longer worked for the History channel and I had to go through the process of finding someone who understood all over again.
Yeah, you can call me a nitpicker with nothing better to do.
But I've earned that dang badge, and I wear it proudly!

But generally it is never a good idea to send e-documents as email attachments.  Better use a file sharing service (Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, ..), upload the document, then send the shared download link via email.

  • Ipad 4: how do I attach multiple file types to an email?

    Hello,
I have seen multiple threads on this topic saying you can only do attachments in an email (other than photos or videos) by going to the app that holds the file and emailing it from there (ex: go to adobe reader or ibooks to email a PDF). This work around seemed sufficient for some people but I have need to attach a JPG, PDF and .doc to a single email. How do I do this within the ipad's built in email app? Is this impossible and if so are there other free email apps that someone can reccmmend?
I find the ability to only email files from within its parent app to be cumbersome and not in keeping with Apple's style of making one's life easier and more efficient. In fact this seems woefully backward and goes back to the early days of computing. I get it that emailing from within a particular app is necessary but so is the ability to attach multiple file types from within the email app. :-(
    So frustrated!!

The GoodReader App can manage files and create emails consisting of multiple files types.

  • How do I attach a file to my email

I am unable to attach a file - excel - to an email message that I am composing. Could somebody guide me how this is to be done?

On my iPad, I'm using Office2 HD for my Excel spreadsheets. In Office2 HD, navigate to your file but don't open it. When you see your file listed, click on the arrow off to the right of the file name. On the next screen, you'll see a button that says "Email File". This will attach the file to a new email message.
I'm sure most iPad spreadsheet apps will have some sort of Share feature. Keep poking around the app that you're using and look for the Share icon. There will likely be an email option there.
    Hope this helps!

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access web mail, you need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

  • How do I attach a file to an outgoing email?

I have scanned several documents onto my iPad and need to email them from my gmail account. How do I attach them?

My work around has been to put the files in my drop box, copy the link, and REPLY to the email and paste the link. Its not very professional, especially if i am replying to a request for potential employers, for my portfoliio or resume. Those i just have to copy/paste the email and subject line into the new email. But what a PIA Apple, come on, this is a basic everyday need. Its as bad as having the characters on the keypad always look like they are uppercase..just silly.
