How do I attach photos to an e-mail as an attachment

I am trying to attach a photo to an e-mail from my Yahoo Account, when I click on attachment it does not allow to access the iphotos folder.
I have looked at sending photos direct from iphotos by e-mail and it seems to only allow you to inclue the photographs in the body of the e-mail and not as an attachment??

Hello timbri,
Open iPhoto; select the photo you want to attach, then simply drag it onto the e-mail screen.  NOTE: You may have to move your iPhoto window a little in order to expose a portion of your mail screen, but as long as there's a llittle screen showing, you can drop your photo there.  You should also see a drop-down menu allowing you to choose the size of the photo frame being sent.  I've sent as many as four pix this way. I have os x 10.6.8, so I hope this works for you.

  • How do we send photos from an iphone to a business email so that the photo shows up as an attachment vs. a part of the body of the email?

How do you email photos from an iphone to a business email so that the photo shows up as an attachment vs. a part of the body of the email?

Eric, thanks for the info about the pictures, it worked.   The mail icon is not the one that came with the mac(it looks like a stamp with an eagle) this appears at a notepad with a ruler, paintbrush and pencil.  I can not open it, I did not download it and now I can not turn off the computer with shutdown I have to manually turn if off by pressing the power button.   This can not be normal.  Any suggestions.  thanks,  Ellen

  • How can I attach a photo to an email, using Photoshop Elements9,without going through the Revel cloud

How can I attach a photo to an email using Photoshop Elements 9, without going through the Adobe Revel cloud?

You don't need an Email client nor Adobe Revel account to send email and photos as attachment.  All you need is an email account (could be free web-based account such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, AOL or whatever including from your own ISP.  And of course an Internet Connection.
Now the most obvious requirement is out of the way so you need to go in to your Organizer and click on Share button and choose Photomail. Select the photo you want to send and follow the instructions that are on your screen.
You also need to request an Adobe Verification Code to enable you to use Adobe's Mail Servers to send the photos for you.  To do this go to:
    Edit >> Preferences>> Sharing
Look for something like this and fill out the red boxes where indicated (click on this image to see it clearly).
    Hope this gets you started.

  • How do I attach another user's photo to email in my account?

How do I attach a photo from another user's (my wife's) iPhoto library to an email (gmail) that I am writing from my account on my iMac (using OSX 10.7.5)?  I have set up both iPhoto applications to allow sharing and have updated the Get Info in my wife's account to allow my account to read the pictures folder and enclosed items.  When trying to attach to the email, I am now able to open my wife's pictures folder, but her iPhoto library is still greyed out, so I cannot see the photos to select them.
    Thank you.

The easiest way to do what you want is to both backup your Libraries to an external hard drive (eHD) using some kind of backup software. Then you can just select tracks from her Library on the eHD and drag them into your iTunes on your laptop.
However, this means that your laptop will fill up with songs that you both have, which will waste space. There is no way round this unless you share.
when I go to add files from her username I see a red minus symbol on the folder and cannot get into it.
Yes, this is the way OS X works : each user only has normal access to their own files, and sees the red symbol for other users. It's to do with permissions and security and privacy.
I'm not interested in sharing because I would like to burn a disc in the future with these files.
The ability to burn discs from playlists is unaffected by having a shared library
To prevent ourselves from burning the same disc twice
Isn't this MORE likely to happen if you have duplicate songs across two libraries?

There is not a function in the iOS mail app to add attachments, has to be done from the app you want to share the content from.
That's not entirely correct, and certainly not for photo or video. To attach a picture or video to an existing e-mail, what cheonweb states above works (tap and hold in an empty part of the e-mail, then tap the right arrow in the pop-up to get the "Insert Photo or Video" option).  You can also copy a picture from the web to the clipboard and paste it into the body of the e-mail.
For other types of files, you're correct in that you have to start from whatever app can open the file type you want to send via e-mail.

There is no dragging of anything in iOS.
Attach as many files or emails as you'd like until it reaches the max capacity of attachements for the email provider.

The actual Facebook app does not offer this facility.  There are other facebook apps you can check out in the App Store, some of which I've read do offer this, but I don't post enough photo's to facebook to have personally checked any of them out myself.

  • How do I attach a photo from CS 5 (for Mac) in an e-mail?

I am a new Photoshop user ( for Mac). How do I attach a photo to an e-mail on the Mac ( using Apple's e-mail system)? How do I burn a photo to a CD? Thank you!

Photoshop is a professional image editing program. The features that you are expecting would likely be found in Photoshop Elements, a different program with a different forum.
Photoshop produces image files which you save somewhere on your computer. Then you use your mail program to attach those image files to a message. Photoshop is not an email program or CD burning program.

  • How do i resize photo attachment in icloud mail

How do I resize photo attachment in icloud mail. The resize button does not appear as it did  before.

Using iCloud mail online via a browser does not offer the option to resize the photo.  It's only available when emailing from iPhoto so iPhoto can do the resizing as it adds the image to the email.  Safari or whatever browser you're using doesn't have that capability.
