Call me the villiage idot, but I can not figure out how to attach the scaned documents from the hp app to my email?

You should try scanning your document as a photo and moving it to photo gallery, that way, it will show up to attach on your email.

Several MFP manufacturers are releasing solutions for this. You should see what your reseller has to offer.
Personally, I'd recommend you try Udocx. It's designed to include metadata, OCR etc when scanning to SharePoint folders. There's more information on www.udocx.com/SharePoint

You might try PDF OCR X, a drag and drop application for OS X. The 'community' version is free, but is limited to single page PDF documents. The 'enterprise' version removes that limitation, but costs $30 (US).

When you're looking at the list of documents, touch the Edit button at the upper-right. Then select the file you want to move by touching the check box to its left, and click the Move File icon, it's the third one from the left at the top of the screen. You'll be prompted to "Move selected document" after which the "Choose a location" dialog will appear to allow you to select a destination folder.

If you chose print, you can save as PDF. If you open the saved PDF in preview, you can save as JPEG, GIF, PNG. FYI you can crop in preview.
Another option is you could use command + shift + 4 to do a screen shot of a specific part of of the screen.

I wanted to transform the entire document in JPEG (JPG) immage, so that I could use it in other tools, such as Facebook for example.
The problem is that using Adobe Photoshop it opens and saves page by page.

I've been using the same process Pages > PDF > iPhoto. However, when it gets to iPhoto there's a lot of waiting around time for it to allow me to do anything i.e. cropping, enhancing. The little coloured ball is just turning and turning. It's not happy to be there! There is a big difference (it appears) in the resolution when it ends up in iPhoto using this process. The images have shadows. My business partner has an older Mac and can export directly to iPhoto from Pages without having to create a PDF first. Perhaps this is just an option on the older one but she now can't open the pages file I send to her either. Besides the fact that she clearly needs a new Mac...has anyone any further updates on what else can be done to export directly to iPhoto? TIA

I need to develop a plugin that needs to convert a protected document in office format into a pdf. I looked into the sdk and found the method AVConversionConvertToPDFWithHandler (). But can this method also apply the digital rigths of the protected document to the newly created pdf?
Is there any other way to convert a protected document into a pdf and at the same time apply the rights to the pdf? I don't want to use Adobe LiveCycle for digital rights management.
What are the requirements to develop a DRM plugin for acrobat?

The AVConversion APIs will use Office itself to perform the conversion (well, the rendering part). I would ASSUME that when Office opens the document, it will ask for any necessary passwords or other information to determine if the user has the rights to view and/or process the content of the document. If they do, then the conversion will succeed otherwise it will fail. The PDF will not have any DRM applied to it, since we don't know anything about the Office DRM options.
If you wish to apply DRM to the PDF, you will need to do that yourself or using tools such as LiveCycle Rights Management.
