About De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

I have an iPod touch. When I try to download an app, it says I need to update the device's software to access the iTunes store. But, when i connect to iTunes, it says I have the most current version. I'm stuck. My mother got this iPod as free-with-purchase when she bought her desktop. She used it, then gave it to me. Could this be the problem? because she connected it to her iTunes and now it won't work on mine? Ipod shows only 111 songs but itunes says has 16Gb on it
Itunes says 16Gb on ipod but only 111 songs show up. Windows explorer also says ipod is half ful. Tried the change drive letter thing and get no luck help
How are your tracks encoded? If they are in a lossless format such as Apple Lossless, AIFF, or even WAV, then the individual file size of each track is going to be very large.

Chrome Browser is missing, but iTunes says I have it...
Chrome Browser app is gone. "Search iPhone" turns up nothing. It shows up in iTunes and says there's an update for it but neither the "Update" nor "Open" buttons are available. Other apps have updated without a problem. Google Search app works fine.
Figured it out. Had restrictions turned on. I turned them on for for the kids and didn't realize it would hide Chrome.and prevent updates and downloads. I changed restrictions to 17+ and I could download Chrome again.
I figured it out by following the link to this question on the side bar: "https://discussions.apple.com/message/21523529#21523529". Not sure why I couldn't find this question when I was searching for answers earlier. -

xxxxxxxxxxxx I have paid for a year subscription and when I go to make a call its acts like I need to add credits, I have double checked and it shows where I paid for it with my order number and it show where it was suposed to have been added to my account with a status delivered.

My computer was stolen so I deauthorized all computers that had iTunes on them on 10/28/2011. I have a new computer and it was authorized for iTunes. When I checked my account it says I have 2 authorized computers, but this new computer should be the only one. How can I deauthorize whatever the other computer is? I don't want whoever stole my old computer to be able to use my iTunes account.
Get all that music back in itunes and sync again.

How do I authorize my new PC to purchase from itunes store? It prompts me to go to STORE menu, then choose Authorize this Computer (which i don't see anywhere) or Advanced (which I don't see anywhere).
There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them: -

This restores the library and device association files. If for some reason you chose to only back up the media and not the entire iTunes folder, then the only option is to let iTunes wipe the drive and re-sync.

how do i stop this and get my music onto my iphone?If you look at the details of the error message displayed on your computer, iTunes will show you which songs and account(s) have not been authorized on your computer.
Songs from other people's iTunes accounts are usually the culprit. These songs can be added to your iTunes library by file sharing software, or by perhaps by your friends trying to share music with you.
If you don't recognize the iTunes account that purchased the unauthorized songs, you should probably get rid of them or investigate other (probalby not very legal) methods for working around the problem. -
