Copy the entire iTunes folder within the music folder on your old Mac to the music folder on your new Mac.

Once you have successfully done that you can go ahead and choose Erase and Sync when you plug your iPod in.

Copy them from your old computer. Copy them from the
back up of your old computer.
Are you logged on under the same Apple ID that you used
to make the purchses? What are you trying to download?
Not all types of media can be downloaded in all locations.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.

5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.

I have deauthorized a couple of the old computers that were associated with my Apple account, there are now 4 devices on the my account. Why can't is authorize my new Mack Book Pro? Especially when the account is showing me that there are only 4 devices on the account?

Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?", at which point I ask it to authorize the Mac Book by feeding in my iTunes account password and at which point it says "You cannot authorize more than 5 computers. How can I download previously purchased music

Some previously purchased music has apparently been deleted from my computer, and, consequently, from my iPhone. Download of previous purchases is one of the new features in 10.3.1. But, I can't figure out how to do it. When I go to the selection in the Store, it says that it was purchased and does not give me an option of either downloading it again, or even purchasing it again.

Thanks, Steve. This did not resolve my problem, but I did get it fixed. When I did as you suggested and navigated to the selection, it did not show the cloud. Instead it displayed "Downloaded". So, I went back to my Library and deleted the entry there. I forgot to mention that the listing was still in the Library, but the song was not on the disk. After I deleted the entry, a "cloud" appeared. I clicked it and an new copy downloaded.
Thanks again for the help. Although it did not directly fix the problem it got me started in a direction that worked. I had never used the "cloud" before.

Bought a new Mac Book Pro Retina - Cannot download iMovie

Hi there,
I recently bought a macbook pro retina 2013. Once I booted it up for the first time it gave me the option to download the iLife suite. I managed to download everything except iMovie as I was in a rush that evening.
I've just tried to download it now and it's asking me to pay for it - however I understood the suite was free with a new mac.
Any suggestions?
