How do I avoid Delta-homes and QVO6

Everytime I open Firefox it opens in Delta-homes or QVO6. I have tried all your solutions several times to get rid of it, and nothing helps. It started with Delta Search installing itself. This I deleted from Programs under Control Panel. After that Delta-homes started installing itself. Delta-homes also keep closing down my website.
The only place I can find it is under General - Startpage, where I delete it and add the standard start page Firefox.
I have also reinstalled Firefox several times but nothing helps.
I used Google Crome before and because of the same problem, I uninstalled it and used Firefox instead thinking it was better and safer - but no - it is exactly the same!
I am to the point of getting really irritated as it is totally impossible to get rid of both - So PLEASE HELP!!!

Sometimes it takes me a while to remember this stuff. The issue is that these invisible folders are actually symlinks and not real folders. They behave differently. Here's something that used to work and may still:
Open Terminal in the Utilities folder:
cd /
nano .hidden
Press RETURN after each line. In the editor listing enter, one line each, home and net. CTRL+O to save the file. Now log out and log back in or restart. The files should be invisible.
Beyond this requires downloading the XTools in order to use one developer tool not included with OS X.

How can I use the "home" and "end" buttons

I have an external apple keyboard (full style, with number pad and all) plugged into my macbook. However, the "home" and "end" buttons don't function the way I'd like (i.e. they don't go to the beginning or end of a line).
Can I ever get this to work or does it just not function with a laptop that doesn't have that function in the first place. I'd like to not have to use multiple keystrokes just to get a similar home/end result.

In the past two weeks every time I select the Firefox icon I get a message: "Foreforx is in Offline mode". I click on "try again" and it always comes up. How do I avoid this message and go directly to online status?

Prior to a couple weeks ago when I clicked on the Fire Fox icon on my MacBook air it went directly to the Fire fox home page. Now when my computer has been off and I choose the Fire Fox icon, I get a message that Fire Fox is in "offline" mode. I then click the box "try again" it always comes up as usual. I am working on some books that I have had no problem creating in Indesign and this week, I was doing something and got an error message and had the program crash while I was working on something and lose my unsaved work. It happens all of a sudden and has been frustrating. Thought it was an installation issue, but this also happens on the newest version of CS6.
The original files (“books”) were created in CS4.
What I’m doing is copying a template for the appendix that was established in the first book into all subsequent books.
Here is the process that I used on CS4 for the first 10 books –
1.       open a file that already has the completed new appendix.
2.       Open a file that needs the new appendix
3.       Select the appendix pages from the pages menu in the completed file and “move” them to the new file.
4.       Voila!
When I started using CS5 this worked for one book. Now the last book is giving me an error message during step 3. So, I select the pages I want to move and click “move” and then I get a message that says “the program has unexpectedly stopped working and will close”. This is the same message I got with CS6.

Same problem here. Firefox keeps freezing, sometimes for 5 minutes, then either starts working again really slowly or I get the plug-in error crash. This last time I copied what windows said about the error. This is the info:

All I know is that I am about to do something I never thought I would, switch to Chrome.

I need to take a lot of notes in my daily customer/sales meetings. The very reason for buying an ipad is to try how I can avoid taking notes and then again typing them in emails etc. What are the market leading apps which can help me to avoid this?

Are there any apps which helps resolving this? Say as for example it can turn my wiriting to some ascii text and then it becomes highly reusable.
Advanced features can be that it understands drawings and convert them into separate jpegs which can be reused as well
I need some suggestions. I think sales perople who use ipad a lot can give really good avice

It has its manufacturer’s warranty and the Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plan.
The manufacturer’s warranty should cover any defects within the first year of owning the phone; while your GSP would cover beyond that time, and any covered damage within the first year. Since you are claiming the unit is defective it should be covered by LG’s warranty, and you will need to work with them to get the phone repaired or replaced.
We could request a refurbished replacement under your GSP, but per the terms of your GSP you would be charged a service fee, and for a smartphone the service fee is $150. Since LG should not be charging to repair or replace your phone, under their warranty, I once again highly recommend you work with them towards getting this resolved.

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Pin order to share photos using photostream you need to log into the same iCloud account on both devices, videos are not included in photostream, but other third party apps such as Dropbox and video stream for iCloud can share video between your devices.

Multiple user accounts are not.
If you are saying you would like to have one set of apps, media, etc
for work and a different set for home, and switch between the 2
depending on network login or location, this is not a feature of iOS.

As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

How Do I Avoid Losing Formatting When Pages documents Are Converted to PDF Files and Emailed?

I put together a presentation piece with Pages, converted its 19 pages to pdf files, emailed the folder of pdf files to Staples for duplication, collation, and binding, and was disappointed to see some of my graphic frame formatting lost.

I was "raised" on Microsoft Publisher, then worked with Adobe Elements before switching to Mac. For the most-part, I find Mac OSX 10.7.5 a joy to use, but it takes me quite a while to figure out how to bridge differences between PC and Mac applications. Even though Mac applications tend to be straight forward, I loften find myself shaking my head and wondering how I could have been stumped so long by a little thing such as instant alpha. I take it you are talking about Pages '09?
Your problem is probably with anything that has transparency eg fancy frames, 3D charts, shadows, reflections because Pages exports all these to too low 72dpi resolution in .pdfs.
Prepping files for commercial print is always a concern and you need at least some Pro skills, but Apple has made life even harder with key missing settings and inferior presets.
The subject of preparing for print is rather broad and detailed.

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before.
