How do I avoid duplicate files with a copy response

I have to copy or export mov files to a folder in a Windows network.
To automate this I've set up a copy response and a response to change the asset status to 'Finished'. A subsription is holding two responses: the copy response to the Windows network (triggered by the change of the asset status to 'Create Deliverables') and the change-asset-status response (to 'finished').
'Create Asset' is NOT on and I had to tick 'Run in parallel' otherwise it would create many duplicates.
Still I'm getting sometimes 2, sometimes 3 copies of the same file.
Any idea why? And - more important - what to do to avoid this?

The problem: your subscription is trigger 2 or 3 times creating more than one copy of the file
What's causing the problem: there is a bug (already report to apple and to this forum) in the "Set asset metadata" response wich is triggering the subscription several times.
If you don't believe me try removing the "set asset metadata" response from the subscription and everything will work just fine.
Because of the way your subscription is built I don't see any way to fix this. All you can do is to set the copy response to "Overwrite" so you'll only have 1 copy of the file in the destination folder.

I just bought my Mac, and love it! I am learning as I go, and so far everything has been very straightforward. I previously had a home PC where I stored all of my photos using Picasa. Short story, all became scrambled (1.000's of pics), and was totally unable to fix it. I do have dvd's with the correct content that I would like to import, but several have duplicate photos. How do i avoid duplicate data when synching iphone and mac book to the cloud?

When I left my job for the last time I uploaded my Microsoft Outlook Contacts to the Cloud so that I could synch it with my Iphone (which I did). Now I would like to also synch the Address Book on my Macbook with the Cloud and my Iphone so I can integrated all of these contacts. First I do not know if I can do this since my MACbook is a few years old aand I do not see the Cloud Icon anywhere on it. Second of all I am not sure which area (Cloud, Iphone, or Macbook) take precedence when synching. Can I lose data? Does one systems dat over ride the other? How can I avoid duplicate data? I am a fairly new Mac user and love the way things are integrated so I think I should not worry but I need help. thanks, tdag55

For the situation you describe, Apple has provided Duplicate and Revert. Use File > Duplicate to reach this menu:

I don't know if there is a less cumbersome way to do this (I'm still pretty new to Lion) but This is what I do - since "Save As" seems to be gone with Lion.
I create a duplicate document - then click the red button to close the document - and a dialog box pops up and asks if you want to save the changes - I change the name in there and then save the file under the new name.
You can also save the copy to the desktop - get info - and then change the name if the finder window.
I copied this from the Pages help area. These help instructions were created pre-Lion I'm sure.
Saving a Copy of a Document
If you want to make a copy of your document—to create a backup copy or multiple versions, for example—you can save the document using a different name or location. (You can also automate saving a backup version, as Automatically Saving a Backup Version of a Document describes.)
To save a copy of a document:
Choose File > Save As and specify a name and location.
The document with the new name remains open. To work with the previous version, choose File > Open Recent and choose the previous version from the submenu.

* How to specify LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR?

Hi Carsten
If you need to support the LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR clause in an external table then one option is to use the unbound external table and capture the access parameters manually. To create an unbound external table you can skip the selection of a base file in the external table wizard. Then when the external table is edited you will get an Access Parameters tab where you can define the parameters. In 11gR2 the File to Oracle external table can also add this clause via an option.

This is part of NCS online help talking about this topic:

Note The CSV file contains a list of devices to be updated, one device per line. Each line is a comma separated list of device attributes. The first line describes the attributes included. The IP address attribute is mandatory.
Bellow is test csv file i created but does not work:

It looks like the IP address field is incorrectly set.,
It should be as follows
{Device IP},{Device Subnet Mask}, etc etc
so a practical example of the aboove could be (i dont know if this is completely correct after the IP address / Subnet Mask)

I saw your URL links, But in your link give the recursive deployment using wlst. But my question is how to configure the oracle weblogic library files into Admin server & Managed Servers by using the wls.jar file through wlst script to create the new domain.
But if create the new domain by using GUI mode then we manually give the admin server port number & managed servers port number and name.
By default the library files are configured with the Admin server in GUI mode. But the Managed server the Library files are not configured with the Managed servers. Then we manually select all the library files to the corresponding managed servers. Then only the applications are deployed into the corresponding managed server.

unfortunately, the 2.1 developer edition you have installed
has not overwritten the original version integrated into the
symbian OS by the manufacturer. This means that the only way to
open the 2.1 files is to open the 2.1 player from your apps menuu,
and click on the swf file. You will only get direct access if the
updated player is in a firmware update for you handset.

On your Mac, for duplicates, switching Contacts off then back on in System Preferences > iCloud may prevent duplicates.
On the iPhone / iPad tap Settings > iCloud. Make sure Contacts and Calendars are swtiched on.
Try restarting your Mac and your iOS devices when items won't sync as they should.
To restart an iOS device: Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

1) it's not "taking more time to execute", whatever that's supposed to mean.
2) there's no other way to execute something. Not that you should every use even that way anyway
3) whenever you start thinking of executing external programs from Java, start thinking of not using Java in the first place.
