How do I back up my calendar so I do not lose the info?

Howdy,
I recently aquired ipod touch. I love the calendar. I now keep all my appointments on my ipod. I am a massage therapist & I need to back up my calender for my personal records. Otherwise I will need to go back to pen & paper calenders. What is the best way I can back up my calendar?
I need a way in which I can transfer my calendar from my ipod to either outlook or some other format so I can save my information. Please help.

When you sync your iPod to a computer a backup is made and the backup contains calender events. You can sync with Outlook if you have outlook n your computer. You can also sync with Google calender and contacts and if you do if with Exchange the syncing is via wifi. The following tells yo how to set up Google Exchange.

That policy is not going to keep thier users. It will force them to switch to other products. Just get a good graphic artist to compare the iOS 6 graphics with so called new iOS 7.4, they will definitely tell the truth about it. Its unlike Apple products, even the worse android mobile device is far better than it. I strongly advise that they quickly get back the design of the older version into this new iOS 7 before thy begin loose thier admirers. Apple's quality graphis is one the major factor that made them stand out in the market. they should fast about. Reboot the TC.. Sometimes you need to reboot the whole network.
This is what comes of Lion and then made worse in Mountain Lion of Apple not spending enough time to fix the bugs.

How do I back up my computer if I can only open the restore disc

When I start my Mac book pro it shows the apple symbol with a losing bar underneath it. When the loading bar finishes the computer shuts back down. I then started my computer by first holding 'option' then pressing the power button. This brings up a screen where I can choose between two discs. One is Macintosh HD and the other is Restore- 10.8. I chose Restore -10.8 because I read that I would be able to repair my Macintosh HD disc with disc utility. So I open Restore - 10.8 then I open disc utility then I selected Macintosh HD and click repair disc. The details of the repair showed numerous issues including 'invalid leaf record count' 'missing thread record' 'Overlapped extent allocation' and then finally it said "the volume Macintosh HD could not be repaired". It said I have to backup as many files on my computer as I can, then reformat the disc. I know how to back up my computer regularly but I have no way of accessing my finder or home screen. So how do I back up my files from the Restore- 10.8 disc? Is it even possible and if not what can I do to not lose the files I haven't backed up?

If you are able to obtain an external hard drive you can format it to Mac OS Extended Journaled with a GUID partition. Then install Mac OS X onto the external hard drive and boot from it.
This will allow you to start up the computer and access your internal hard drive to copy the files manually off of it.

Try backing it up to your computer with iTunes. Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of the phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. Also go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer you apps and other purchased media to your iTunes library.

I've just found out the reason for this behaviour. I am syncing from a computer which is different to the one I first synced with. iTunes can't cope with this situation so deletes anything synced from another source.

There is a third-party program called Attachment Tamer that will do that for you. In the Terminal, you can type this:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes
Also note that while Attachment Tamer does some things with the encoding that makes certain email clients display the item as an attachment, what shows up at the receiver's end is solely dependent on their email client and its settings.
