How do I backup all user documents on a storage media with 6 revisions

I'm saddled with the task of designing a backup strategy which I've been able to do, now I wonder which is the best approach to ensuring all user documents in the domain is backed up on a central server having 6 revisions of every backup, This is to ensure
there would be no data loss in any event and we can refer to the last 6 backups in the event of recovery. I would like to know.
Which backup approach is best, I was thinking of folder redirection but some of our users have *.pst folders, which is not a good candidate for redirection.
I want to ensure all documents i.e: excel, word, powerpoint, pdf, et al are backed up, wherever they are stored in their hard drives. But is it possible I redirect the whole drive? What are the draw backs if I do so?
Which backup software are recommended?
TSM readily comes to mind but are there cost effective and reliable alternatives?

You can use Windows Server Backup to create schedule backups, then you can configure the size of the storage area that you choose will determine how many backup versions you can store.

Have a look at table MODATTR to find the active projects in your system.

How do I set all users to have complete permission access to all other users on a single Macbook? When one user uploads a picture from camera, the other user is told they don't have permission to view. Same with music.

Go to System preference> accouts>unlock>click+and add name of new user, Adrop dowm window will appear, new Account and set for Admi, fill in their name, to make things even more simple, use the same password for all,if it will allow it. Click ceate account. Click allow user to admin this computer.Then go to sys prefs, sharing and click all the things you want to let everyone use, If you use separeate paswords then each user can set their own preferences. All users can be set as as administrator, click allow access for all users. This will allow every one pretty much the same access.
OH yeah reart the computer sfter added a new user, and test the new login, if it's good coninue.

First you need to authorize your MBA with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPad connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad. This will transfer/copy all iTunes content on your iPad that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
Photos on your iPad that were transferred from your old computer need to be transferred from your old computer to your MBA.
Before syncing contacts with the Address Book and calendar events with iCal if you aren't syncing this content over the air with an iCloud account, enter one contact in the Address Book and one calendar event in iCal on your MBA. Make these up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provided a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your MBA with iPhoto or the Image Capture application.

So if you can not get complete set of data you will take a subset (which can be empty, BTW) and say this is a complete list?In a 10.2.0.4 database a user with CONNECT role only can see every username. Can't see all the details but that's the intent of the view. I don't know if this is a doc bug or what.
And, it is, BTW, a very good thing DBA_USERS is not available to everyone. List of users is part of security and is at least confidential.Agree 100%. I just thought it was a bit odd for you to suggest that I RTFM the ALL_USERS definition, and point out that the docs state it's a list of users visible to the current user, when your suggestion to the OP was to use DBA_USERS. It's likely that a user with the ability to query DBA_USERS would have all users visible to them anyway. I just didn't understand your rather rude followup directed at me. I'm just trying to help, just like everyone else here.

Basic Backup
For some people Time Machine will be more than adequate. Time Machine is part of OS X. There are two components: 1. A Time Machine preferences panel as part of System Preferences; and, 2. A Time Machine application located in the Applications folder. It is used to manage backups and to restore backups. I have 18 slide shows each is a different competition for our camera club. How can I exchange all the images from each slide show with new images as our club competitions commence? I am reluctant to just delete the slide show because I will have set it all back up. I want to leave the size shape and format of the show as is, but just exchange all of the current images with new ones. I am hoping there is a quick way to delete and replace all images for each show? Each slide show has around 40 images and I have 18 shows

1. Activate "thumbnails" in the configuration panel
2. Select one Thumbnail.
3. Rightclick and choose "Select same"
4. Press "backspace"
5. Open the configuration panel and load the new images.

To scan a 2-sided document, you will need to change the scanner settings in the software.
If you are using Capture On Touch:
You will need to turn off the "Scan in Full Auto" option.
Next, you will open [Scanner Settings] and change the "Scanning Side" to Duplex.
Verify that the [Color Mode] shows "24-bit Color" and when you get the option to save the file, verify the [File Type] shows as "PDF".
If you are using CapturePerfect:
Click [Scan].
Click [Scanner Settings].
Change the [Scan Side] to "Duplex".
Verify that [Color Mode] is set for "Color" and then save the file as "PDF".

You can logon to Enterprise as Administrator in your SDK application. Query all users using following query:
select * from ci_systemobjects where si_kind='user'
then loop through the collection InfoObjects returned and cast east object to IUser.
Either call setPasswordToChangeAtNextLogon(true) so that the user logs on next time will be forced to change his\her password. Call commit on InfoObjects collection at the end to save the changes.
Otherwise you can call setNewPassword("new password") to reset password for that user.
Depending upon number of users you can do bath commit. You can use commit(infoObjects,true). The 2nd argument is true for batch commit.

Now that the files(itunes, pics, documents) are on my Mac, I want them all on one user. The admin user. One place. Any idea how to move this stuff? Thank you!

Depends on how much data there is in total. You could just save all the data into the 'Shared' folder on the hard disk by going into each account and making copies or moving the data you want to keep. When that's done, switch to the account you want to move it to and copy it all in from the 'Shared' folder.
If there's too much for your HD, copy it all off to an external USB hard disk, delete all user accounts apart fromthe one you're going to use, then copy it from the external back into your admin user.
