How do I backup and recover all of user's objects and Application?

I know that I can export the application ,CSS and images by HTMLDB.But there is not user's data. I can also export user's full schema by sqlplus. Can I recover all of user's objects like this:
1,import the user's schema.
2,create a new workspace and reuse the user'schema .
3,import the application ,CSS,images.
Then,Is all OK?
Thank for any help and option.

Lastgod,
Yes, you can do what you described. You definitely must use Oracle export/import (or something) to backup and restore the data in the application schema. On the HTML DB side, depending on your purpose, you might find it simpler to export the workspace using the HTML DB site administration pages. Then you would import and install the workspace (using HTML DB admin pages), which will let you confirm the workspace schema, instead of your step 2. After that your step 3 can be performed. When you export a workspace you get the user accounts and group definitions also, so you don't have to recreate accounts when you import/install the workspace in the same or another HTML DB instance.

  • How do I backup and view text messages from my iphone 4?

How do I backup and view text messages from my iphone 4? I want to know where and how to backup and view text messages and all other personal files, including voicemail, recent calls, etc. from my iphone. Is this function in iTunes and/or does iTunes already backup this stuff when I sync?
I really just want the answer to how and where this works.
    Thanks

Apple provides functionality in the backup done via iTunes to backup the device and text messages.  There is no functionality to view the text messages on the computer.
    About iOS backups
Other programs are available which can extract text messages from the device or the iTunes created backup and then be viewed on the computer.  To my knowledge, no program exists which can force backed up text messages into the device once they've been removed.
Google is your friend when looking for 3rd party software related to text messages.

  • How do you backup and restore Boot Camp?

I thought I'd drop by and ask my perenial question: How do you backup and restore Boot Camp?
I'm running Windows 7 if it matters, on a MBPn 17 2010 core-i7 and my daughter will soon be running on a MBP 13 2011 core-i7.
I'm currently using SuperDuper! and Time Machine for the Mac side, and am backing up using Disk Utility capturing the entire Win7 partition but have no confidence that it will work if I restore it.
What does everyone here use, and have you successfully restored your Windows 7 environment?

For me, Paragon Hard Disk Manager Suite 2011.
It contains Clone OS and other tools, for $49.
I'm not sure Paragon Backup is "Apple Boot Camp" friendly or not.
All available Paragon Hard Disk Management technologies are available in onesuite.
    Hard Disk Manager Suite 2011
While lack of mention of Apple Boot Camp in System Backup may not be an issue, I have never used it. Paragon also has volume snapshot and other Mac OS tools - but then they are not all offered in a Suite to provide NTFS, HFS, Mac repair, etc.

Lion will have to modify the partition tables to add its own Windows 7-ish system recovery partition, so I would definitely get a good backup strategy in place - and tested - ahead of time. Contrary to the "shouldn't have any impact" I always see an impact, and also re-initialize drives when a new OS comes out (though maybe wait for the .2 release).

  • How to write select query for all the user tables in database

Can any one tell me how to select the columns from all the user tables in a database
Here I had 3columns as input...
    1.phone no
    2.memberid
    3.sub no.
I have to select call time, record, agn from all the tables in a database...all database tables have the same column names but some may have additional columns..
Eg: select call time, record, agn from ah_t_table where phone no= 6186759765,memberid=j34563298
Query has to execute not only for this table but for all user tables in the database..all tables will start with ah_t
I am trying for this query since 30days...
Help me please....any kind of help is appreciated.....

Starting in Oracle 10, you can also use Q-notation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/sql_elements003.htm#i42617
...and also can you tell me how to execute the output of this script. What front end are you using? If it's SQL*Plus, then you can SPOOL the query to a file, and then execute that file, like this:
-- Suppress SQL*Plus features that interfere with raw output
    SET     FEEDBACK     OFF
    SET     PAGESIZE     0
-- Run preliminary query to generate main query
    SPOOL     c:\my_sql_dir\all_ah_t.sql
SELECT       'select call time, record, agn from '
    ||       owner
    ||       '.'
    ||       table_name
    ||       ' where phone_no = ''6186759765'' and memberid = j34563298'
    ||       CASE
WHEN ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( ORDER BY  owner          DESC
                              ,        table_name      DESC
                              ) = 1
               THEN  ';'
               ELSE  ' UNION ALL'
           END     AS txt
    FROM       all_tables
    WHERE       SUBSTR (table_name, 1, 4)     = 'AH_T'
    ORDER BY  owner
    ,       table_name
    SPOOL     OFF
-- Restore SQL*Plus features that interfere with raw output (if desired)
    SET     FEEDBACK     ON
    SET     PAGESIZE     50
    -- Run main query:
    @c:\my_sql_dir\all_ah_t.sql
so that i form a temporary view for this script as a table(or store the result in a temp table) and my problem will be solved..Sorry, I don't understand. What is a "temporary view"?

  • How do I backup and reformat my hard drive?

I have a gray loading bar during startup and it forces me to wait 5-10 minutes for my computer to start. This happens during every startup but does not happen when I start up using Windows 7 on my Bootcamp partition. I researched the problem and it told me to run Disk Utility. First, I verified and repaired the disk to see if that was the problem. Disk Utility fixed some errors, but the problem persisted. I verified disk and it said that my disk needed to be repaired. I booted up using my Mac OS X Snow Leopard disk and ran repair disk. It said that I should backup my data and reformat my disk. How do I do this? I've never done something like this before. I know that an external hard drive is required, so I'm prepared to order one. Additionally, how would I also backup my Bootcamp partition? I have researched that and found out about a program called WinClone that backups your partition somehow. I would appreciate it if someone could explain this to me as well. I have a Windows 7 partition. Lastly, how do you format an external FAT32 external hard drive into HFS+? And would you be able to use a HFS+ formatted hard drive on Windows 7 to store data? (Not necessarily backup)
    Thanks!

    Basic Backup
Get an external drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
    Carbon Copy Cloner
    Data Backup
    Deja Vu
    Silver Keeper
    Retrospect
    Super Flexible File Synchronizer
    SuperDuper!
    Synchronize Pro! X
    Synk Pro
    Synk Standard
    Tri-Backup
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on backup and restore.  Also read How to Back Up and Restore Your Files.
Although you can buy a complete external drive system, you can also put one together if you are so inclined.  It's relatively easy and only requires a Phillips head screwdriver (typically.)  You can purchase hard drives separately.  This gives you an opportunity to shop for the best prices on a hard drive of your choice.  Reliable brands include Seagate, Hitachi, Western Digital, Toshiba, and Fujitsu.  You can find reviews and benchmarks on many drives at Storage Review.
    Enclosures for FireWire and USB are readily available.  You can find only FireWire enclosures, only USB enclosures, and enclosures that feature multiple ports.  I would stress getting enclosures that use the Oxford chipsets especially for Firewire drives (911, 921, 922, for example.)  You can find enclosures at places such as;
    Cool Drives
    OWC
    WiebeTech
    Firewire Direct
    California Drives
    NewEgg
All you need do is remove a case cover, mount the hard drive in the enclosure and connect the cables, then re-attach the case cover.  Usually the only tool required is a small or medium Phillips screwdriver.
    Drive Preparation
    1.  Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Complete the OS X installation.

  • How do I backup and restore an Iphone that is totally destroyed and not functioning in any way

My iphone fell off the back bumper of an ambulance and was run over. Probably several times. The case held it together but the screen is TOTALLY destroyed and I can't do anything on the phone. I have the replacement now but when I try to restore the old (destroyed) one, I can't back it up because I need to put my passcode in on the screen and I can't restore it to factory settings until I turn off Find My Iphone. I can pull it up on Find My Iphone and erase it but I don't know if that will cause problems for the new one. How do I backup or even just restore the device if it will turn on when connected to a computer but is otherwise non functional?

Then ask them how they expect you to reset it when it's not functional. If they still insist you have to reset it or they'll charge you... well, I always thought these cell phone "insurance" plans were a scam.

  • Selling my iMac. how do i backup and restore to orignial

I would like to know what I need to do to sell my iMac before selling. I have an external drive seagate and would like to have a full backup and know how to bring my iMac back to original condition. Then how to restore my new Macbook with my backup.

If you already have the MacBook, you don't have to make a backup. Just use Migration Assistant (or Setup Assistant, if it hasn't been set up yet) to transfer the files from your iMac. Read > http://pondini.org/OSX/SetupLion.html
If you want to restore from a backup, first connect the external drive to the iMac and set up Time Machine > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
When the first backup finishes, you will be able to restore the backup onto the MacBook.
To return the Mac to factory settings:
    1. Insert the Snow Leopard DVD and hold the C key while your Mac is starting.
    2. Choose your language and go to Utilities menu (on the menu bar) > Disk Utility.
    3. Select the hard drive at the top of the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the drive. If you want, you can choose one of the secure erase options if you want to make sure that your files aren't recoverable,
    4. Close Disk Utility and install Mac OS X. When the installation finishes, hold the mouse or trackpad while your Mac is starting to eject the DVD, and turn off the Mac. Remember to give the DVDs to the new owner

  • How do I "backup" and "restore" iTunes correctly?

I am in the process to renew my PC and was wondering how I can backup my whole iTunes configuration and content (iPad, iPhone backups, applications, and other content) so that I can restore it on a new PC.
I might have overseen any posts regarding that topic, but more than happy if someone can reference to it.
    Thanks.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

  • How do I backup and sync my iPhone?

    Hi,
I've just got a new iPhone and restored it from my home mac.
How I have iTunes on work mac and I want to save all of the phones data and sync it to my work itunes.
However when I check the "sync" checkboxes on the app's section of itunes it says it is going to wipe my iphone's data and sync itunes's apps to the iphone.
How do I go about syncing all of my data on my iPhone to itunes?

by design, iDevices sync with only one iTunes library at a time.
you might want to look into Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod.

  • How do I find out how much space OSX and applications are taking up on my HDD?

I am thinking of moving my OS and all applications to a SSD to free up space on my MBP.
My question is how do I find out how much space OSX and installed applications are taking up on my HDD so I know how big the SSD needs to be?  Also, what is the best way to move these files across to the new SSD once installed?
    Many thanks,
    Andrew.

If you do command-click or right click on your hard drive and select get info, it will tell you how full the HD is.
there are some apps that can show you exactly how big particular apps are

I replaced my internal drive with a SSD for performance reasons a few months ago. There are a number of ways to move your files over to the new SSD. I am a fan of the clean install, which might take a bit more time and effort but results in a very fast and trouble free mac. An easy way to do this if you are replacing your internal drive is to put the old drive in an external drive enclosure. Then you install the new SSD and install mavericks on it. In my case I used Diskmaker X to make a Mavericks installer (DiskMaker X (formerly Lion DiskMaker) . Then you can reinstall your apps from scratch, and finally move your documents over from the external drive.

  • How to unistall shapeshifter and application enhancer to get rid of bits of dock end

hi i have an 12 inch powerbook g4 2005 and i did run it on tiger and made the dock 3D using shapeshifter and application enhancher and when i tried to eject them after i got os x 10.5.8 but it doesn't show up on search but when i go on system prefernces it shows and can use it but i don't know how to unistall it
    please help

    Hello,
Double-click the "Install ShapeShifter" icon and click on the "Uninstall" button (the installer will move all ShapeShifter files to the Trash - it will never actually delete any files on your system).
Remove the file named "ShapeShifter.prefPane" from the Library/PreferencePanes folder in your home directory and the file "ShapeShifter.ape" from the Library/Application Enhancers folder in your home directory

    Regards,
Bhatiathere is no simple answer. There is no DATABASE_FAST=TRUE initialization parameter. There are a myriad of reasons why an application is performing poorly. It could be that the application (code and data relationships) is poorly designed. It could be that individual SQL statements are poorly written. It could be that you don't have enough cpu/memory/disk bandwidth/network bandwidth.
You need to determine the root cause of poor performance and address it. If you application is poorly designed, you can tune the database until the cows come home and it won't make any difference. If you are trying to run 100k updates per second against a database hosted on hardware that only meets minimal requirements to install Oracle ... well, hopefully you get the picture.
First, go to tahiti.oracle.com. Drill down to your selected Oracle product and version. There you will find the complete doc library. Find the Performance Tuning Guide
Second, go to amazon.com and browse titles by Tom Kyte and Cary Milsap. I particularly recommend "Effective Oracle by Design" and "Optimizing Oracle Performance", though I see a lot of new titles that look promising (I think I'll be doing some buying!)
