How Do I Backup to Adobe's Online Storage

I purchased the $20 option to backup files online with Adobe (although, strangely,  it still says I only have 2 gig instead of the 20 I bought) but am unable to find any option in the Organizer menu that lets me backup files except to CD, DVD, or external harddrive.  There is no mention at all of the online storage.  Yet they keep advertising that it is available.  Where is the option in the menus?
Can somebody enlighten me as to how I backup a folder online?
Thanks very much.
David

Yes, you must be using Albums to be able to use the Online Backup feature.
The rational is that we needed a way for you to identify what should be backed up, and what should not. (As requested by early user testing of the backup feature). Instead of creating another organizational metaphor around backup, we decided to leverage the existing Organizational metaphor of Albums. The other thing going on here is that Online Sharing is based around the Albums concept, and Sharing and Backup are leveraging the same code to keep your online files in sync with your desktop files.
If you just want to backup everything in your Catalog, simply create a new Album called Everything (or whatever), mark it for Backup, and then put all you media in it.
Remember that your media can be in multiple Albums, so putting it all in Everything, doesn't mean you cannot still create other Albums with subsets of your media.
There are actually a number of advantages of using the integrated Backup/Sync feature in Elements 7 over local options: (Apologies for the sales pitch nature of what follows)
1: Your media is stored off site. With an external drive or shiny disk, a fire or flood will destroy it all. Just ask the folks in Atlanta this week about the value of their backups on an external drive. (Although for now there are much more serious issues to deal with there)
2: By backing up to Photoshop.com, you get to use what we call Anywhere Access. Just log into your Photoshop.com account from any web browser and you have access to your media Catalog.
3: And, even better, any changes you make while remote (Adding new photos, re-organizing, basic editing, etc) are automatically synchronized back to your desktop PC.
And, yes, big files such as TIFFs or RAW will take some time to backup. But, we made the backup process run in the background, so you don't need to think much about it. Just set it up and let it run. You don't even need to have the Elements Organizer running. You can also set it up to only Backup/Synchronize When Idle. This means that while you are using your PC, it won't consume CPU cycles or Internet Bandwidth, but when you leave it alone for a bit, it will kick into gear while you're away.

  • Premiere Elements - Adobe ID - Online Storage Problem

I have Premiere Elements 10. I bought a Peachpit training dvd and on there it shows the APE Welcome Screen with a section at the bottom where you can sign in with your Adobe ID and then see a personal url, an update on online storage etc. When I open my software up, this Adobe ID section is not there on my Welcome Screen. I have an Adobe ID and I would love to link it to APE to make the most of the online storage and back-up. I am in the UK - is this the problem? Sorry if this is a bit basic, but all thoughts welcome!

You can also log in from the main interface of the program. In the edit workspace, look for the "Sign In" link at the top of the interface.
Thoug if you can't see the sign-in area on the Welcome Screen, you may already be logged in...

  • How do I change the Adobe Reader Online Word Look Up Dictionary?

When I select and right-click a word in a PDF file in Reader, it pops-up a menu with a Look Up Word option. Upon clicking it, I am taken to dictionary.com website. I want to change this to OED, because I have an account with them. Moreover, I often study old texts with words that are not mentioned on the default site. I have searched high and low, but couldn't find a solution. There must be a way to change it to some other on-line service or off-line program.
P.S: If there is no way to do it, I strongly propose Adobe to include this feature in future updates/releases. Trust me, there are thousands out there who absolutely need it.

I know of no way to change the dictionary. However, here is where you can put your request:

  • Online Storage

Comcast has notified me that it is closing its Personal Web Pages and the storage I have been using for the past 8 years will the deleted after October 8, 2015. I have been offered 2 years free on weebly.com/comcast. I DO NOT need web page sevices but rather free storage of about 50MB, and I need it for more than 2 years. What will weebly charge me after 2 years? Any ideas of free storage other then Comcast or Weebly. My storage contains mp3 files and pdf files that I link to my Geocaching listings. Clicking on such a link will immediately play the mp3 file or display the pdf file without any interuptions. I have tried to impliment this using Dropbox. It works for me but not for others who do not have a Dropbox account. Any other ideas of how to survive after my Comcast PWP online storage disapears in October.

I don't know much about them but, I would not want to trust my music collection to one, either.
External hard drives now run less than $100 for 200-250GBs of storage. Get two: one for main music storage, another larger one for backup purposes. Very cheap backup insurance, indeed. See This Link

  • I accidentally deleted my photos; how do I download my files and photos from Adobe Online Storage?

I accidentally deleted my photos; how do I download my files and photos from Adobe Online Storage?

So i think backup online the the most effective way to protect data loss!
If you found you have lost your important files, you can just download it from the online server.
And if you delete your files from hard disk and cannot download it from online storage, there is still another way-data recovery software to recover your lost files.

  • I can't make a DVD backup copy of my Adobe Online Storage

I can't make a DVD backup copy of my Adobe Online Storage File. How do you do it?
    David

    Hello David,
I would suggest to use the Adobe Media Downloader to download your images
Click here to archive your Photoshop.com library so you do not lose any files.
You will be asked to download an Adobe Air application called Media Downloader.
Then you can use your Dvd buring software to make a back up of your images
    Thanks
    Scott

  • Please, please tell me how to sign out of adobe online.

I do not need an adobe online account.  I though I was updating acrobat when I downloaded a program from your site.  Some of my features appeared to be lost after that, but there was a suggestion to sign in to adobe online.  I thought I had to do that to get the features I was used to using (extract pages, etc.).  Turns out I was in a new program: Reader.  I did not need to be signed in on line at all.  I think I clicked keep me signed in.  I do not want to be signed in.  I also gave you my email address and real birthday.  I do not want adobe online to have that or track me.  Please tell me (1) how to sign out of adobe online, (2) not be tracked by adobe; and (3) get my real birthday out of your records.  Thank you.

This is a user to user forum, not a way of addressing Adobe. As to your specific questions, I don't know what you mean by "Adobe on line", so I cannot suggest how to sign out of it. And I don't know of any commercial firm that will agree to completely erase all your data from their records, so I wouldn't expect you to find any way to acomplish what you ask in (2) and (3).
