How do I begin the installation process for Acrobat XI

i've been trying for the past several occasions to down load and instal the Adobe XI Pro but to no success.  I can see the AcrobatPro_11_web_WWMUI file 501MB sitting in my data drive.  I tried to open the file but it prompted me to choose the program I wanted to open the file with.  I'm unable to choose any one of the program listed in there. Which Program file I would have to use to be successful?  Please note the Adobe Installer is absent. Please advise what is the next step?

Branching this to a separate discussion as this post does not appear to be related to receiving an Error 101 within the Adobe Download Assistant.
Edsj there are two files to download.  Please make sure to download the .exe version of ACrobatPro_11_web_WWMUI which will allow you to decompress the install files and then start the installation.

How to find programatically the installation location for Mysql?

There are thousands of them. Probably hundreds of thousands. If you had a particular one in mind, just ask the person who set it up. There's no point in trying to write code for that, since you only need to ask once and put the location in your code.

  • How do you set the default magnification for Acrobat.  All documents that I open enlarge to 174% and are too big.

How do you set the default magnification for Acrobat.  All documents that I open enlarge to 174% and are too big.  I see how to change the size after the document is open by going to File/properties/initial view and saving this setting.  I want all documents to open at 100% when they are first opened.  Can I set this as a default view?

    Hey Kris,
You might go to Edit> Preferences> Zoom
Do this without opening any particular PDF so that it applies to the program itself and not just one document.
Try this and then let me know.

  • CS4 Design Premium Student Edition will not even begin the installation process

    Help!
I have bought CS4 Design Premium Student Edition, I received the serial number okay, tried the installation process but stupidly hadn't quit a programme fisrt. I tried the process again but the SetUp window says 'Loading SetUp' and I get an 'Installer Alert' window pop up with nothing in it. I can't quit the Installer and have to Force Quit.
I've tried the CS4 Clean Script and it finds nothing to remove. Having spoken to Tech Support I tried CS3 Clean Script and it removed certain items, but the CS4 disc still won't work.
I have Photoshop 7 installed, would that be interfering?
What else can I remove before re-trying the installation of CS4?

I have tried shutting down and restarting and just a simple restart.
The guy from tech support didn't tell me to do that when I was trying the clean script stuff the other day but I've tried it sonce and there's still no joy.
Does it sound like I've got something preventing the installation process from starting if I get a blank 'Installer Alert' window appear?
Calling Adobe Support is such a pain. No answer for hours....

New computer, I lost my CD but have my key recorded. Where can I get the installer files for "Adobe Acrobat Pro Extened - English, Francais"???

    Hi Jesse ,
Try this once and see it it helps .
Go to the web page : http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=en
Login with your Adobe ID and Password. Now instead of clicking on the download button copy and paste the following link on the address bar and hit enter : http://trials2.adobe.com/Applications/Acrobat/APRO/9/trials/AcroPro90_efg.exe
This is the direct download link for Acrobat 9.
This link would only work from the downloads page of Acrobat 10.

  • I just downloaded Mountain Lion yesterday from the App Store and it won't install. I stopped it when it wouldn't do anything all day and now how do i restart the installation process?

Uaually when you purchase something from the app store and it has downloaded, you see an install button. I found nothing of that nature. I have a late model 2009 mac mini with plenty of memory and plenty of disk space. What am I missing?

Never mind, I see it's Mountain Lion.
Can you check in your Applications Folder to see if the installer is still there. You are confused on some things, because the installer should be giving you a DOWNLOAD text on the purchases page, not install.

  • How to customize the installation location for Acrobat Reader 11

My c:\ is a SSD with limited space.  I would like to install Reader 11 to a different drive path, however the installer does not seem to have custom installation location option.

Download the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/, then click on 'Change Destination Folder' on the first install panel.

  • How do I register the serial number for Acrobat when the window disappears?

I want to use Adobe Acrobat for the first time and I got a window for the serial number.
I had the wrong paper in my hand and typed the serial for CS5 which was denied.
I found the correct paper with the serial number for CS 6, but the window for typing it in doesn't
    return to the screen.
I can see a getting started window flash by, but it doesn't stay on-screen long enough to read what it says.
I don't know how to get the window for the serial number for CS6 to be entered.

    Hello Judy,
one way is to deinstall your CS6 in combination with a reboot. After reinstalling should CS6 start now with the registration mask.
    Good luck!

  • How can I bypass the activation process for my iPhone?

I just received a brand new iPhone as a gift and I have been unable to use it since I live outside US. I am wondering if there is a procedure to activate the iPhone in a different way at least to use it as an iPod or WiFi browser. Of course I already tried another SIM card but as you know this does not work.
I am really frustated having such a nice piece of high tech phone and being unable to use it. It is not worth to have it in its box. Can somebody help me out?
    Thanks a lot.
    iZam

Nobody here can help you out.
The use of the US iPhone requires activation through a US contract with US ATT as your network.
If an unsupported hack is floating around out there, you will need to google for it, as nobody here can give you that information on this website.
By the way, your US iPhone will never be able to function as a phone in your country - it will always remain locked to ATT as the server. Are you sure it might not be better to just wait until a supported one for your country comes out, and then you will have phone service available locally too? Otherwise, the 5G iPOD has similar video features (without the wifi of course).

  • How do I set the install path for acrobat (the free reader)?

I cannot find any place during the download/install process where I can choose the install path.
How do I do it? The software works fine, I just don't want it at that location.

    I appreciate your help.
To sum it up, what I hear is that theoretically it might be possible to save some space, but that initially it wont be that much and over time it might be a very small portion of the total amount.
I am also indirectly hearing: "No, you cannot choose an install path"
    Thanks again for your help.

  • How can I change the installation path  of JWS?

I have to install the JRE 1.4.0_01 in silent mode on Windows XP. For the JRE I can set the installation path in the corresponding dialog and record it in an *.iss file. When starting the silent installation the JRE is correctly installed into this path but the Java Webstart installation procedure doesn't care about this path and installs JWS in 'D:\Programme\Java Web Start'.
How can I change the installation path for JWS?
