How do I block a non-10 digit number?

How do I block a non-10 digit number? Wife keeps getting calls from +55221144. She never answered.

its an Australian number, but you can add up to 5 numbers for free on My Verizon in the block numbers link.  IDK if non-standard numbers will be accepted, but you can also add it as a contact named Blocked and set it to send to voicemail.

        Hi there irock2! I know how pesky those unwanted calls can become. Since the calls are not coming from a normal 10-digit American number, it may be someone international attempting to reach you. Our Usage Controls http://bit.ly/plz3pA feature offers the ability to block international calls, and even calls from private and restricted numbers. We also offer the option to change your number at no charge through My Verizon http://bit.ly/WJbRNG if you'd like.
    Thank you

  • How can I find the non-truncated serial number of CS4 masters collection installed on my Mac?

    I got CS4 Masters Collection about 3 years ago when I was still using a PowerPC G5 Mac. Since then, I've upgraded my setup with Intel machines. I'd like to use Adobe Premiere Pro on my MacBook Pro, as I cannot run it on my G5. I found a download link on Adobe's servers for the old Adobe Premiere CS4 trial, and I downloaded it. Since it isn't installed on the G5, I should be able to use it on my intel machine, right? So I went into Help/System Info on one of the other CS4 apps installed on my G5, and found the serial code, but it was shortened to 20 characters, when the registration requires 24. How can I find the last 4 characters so I can activate Premiere? I found a guide, but it only works for PC's. Please help, I'm tired of using FCPX.

    No, that is not rue, Adobe limits the supply of their software explicitly to Adobe themselfs and to their contract distributers. And the other problem is that the serial is stcked on the package of the DVDs. So, if someone passes his original DVDs to someone else he gives him also the serial. He has no possibility to hinder someone the use of these SN. So he has given away the proof of his licence.

    how can I block a number that calls me persistently every single day but only shows 3458  it does not show the full 10 digit so on your block page will not let me block it!!!  So frustrated and I am not answering it with all the hackers out these days I don't want to give them access to my phone.

        @lottsandy
    I can understand your frustrations and concerns with receiving these unknown calls!  I would love to assist you with preventing these types of calls.
    Sounds as though you're receiving some type of telemarketing call.  Although you're unable to add the shorter numbers to your call block list, you can definitely add your number to the National Do Not Call registry http://1.usa.gov/1whONxp.  I hope this will help prevent those unwanted calls.  Thanks!

  • How do I block unsolicited e-mail(s) from unsolicited senders? Why isn't there an auto option that simply pops up and asks if you wish to block this sender from future e-mails? I am so tired of my e-mail address being sucked out of a friends address book,

    How do I block unsolicited e-mails from the sites that have stolen my e-mail address from a friends address book, and send me non-stop horrid e-mails. Why is there no pop-up to ask if "want sender blocked", to easily solve this problem? Seems like it would be such an easy solution to what must be a universal problem with these e-mail pirates.

    It is frontiernet.com that would need to block the emails.
    You can setup a Mail "Rule" to send email you do not want into the trash, or a spam folder, etc...
    In fact, there is a Mail -> Message ->  Mark -> as Junk Mail, which will train Mail to reconize junk mail and start to automatically move it to a junk mail folder.
    You can put this option on the Mail toolbar via Mail -> View -> Customize Toolbar, and drag the "Junk" icon to your Mail Toolbar.
    But of course Junk takes training.  You can create a Rule to trash the emails you do not want right away via Mail -> Message -> Add Rule, or Mail -> Preferneces -> Rules

  • How can the symbol and non-English diacritical marking, etc accessed with combinations of letters and functional keys prior to Snow Leopard be achieved in Snow Leopard?

    How can the symbol and non-English diacritical marking/punctuation pallet, available in pre-Snow Leopard OSes with various combinations of letter or number keys and functional keys, be accessed in Snow Leopard?  Those pre-Snow Leopard versions worked on the fly as one was making text in any pedestrian application and its native font (Mail, Text Edit, for example).  One didn't need to dig around in font libraries, change font preferences, etc.

    > One didn't need to dig around in font libraries, change font
    > preferences, etc.
    It hasn't worked like that since the Early Chalcolithic (ie, System 7 or thereabouts).
    You've already got plenty of answers. Briefly (and grossly oversimplified),
    - Mac OS X conforms to a standard known as Unicode; in its current incarnation, it defines over 100k characters.
    - A keypress is translated into a character according to the current keyboard layout.
    - The graphic representation of a character (ie, glyph), is provided by the current font.
    - If a font lacks a glyph for the requested character, either another font will be automatically chosen (Mac OS X text engine), or some form of feedback (empty box, question mark, etc) will be used.
    - To inspect the actual key codes, use a utility such as Key Codes.
    - To inspect the current keyboard layout, invoke Keyboard Viewer.
    - To inspect the full complement of glyphs of a font, invoke Character Viewer (also accessed with the Special Characters command).
    (Remember that both these utilities are resizable and zoomable -- you can enlarge them to a comfortable viewing size, then zoom out to see more of the screen for your original task.)
    - For a more detailed look, use a utility such as UnicodeChecker.
    - The default keyboard layout depends on your Mac OS X localisation.
    (Keep in mind that there's no need to stick with the default layout; choose whichever one makes sense to you, given your language, habits, and proclivities. Mac OS X comes bundled with quite a few, including some obviously designed for the huddled masses of refugees from the Dark Side, who, in their wretched ignorance, have the unmitigated gall of labelling our native ways "really uncomfortable". Oh well, this, too, shall pass.
    If none of the supplied keyboard layouts fits your needs -- if, for instance, you write your emails in Etruscan -- go out on the 'net, you'll find quite a few. Or write your own with Ukulele, it's not really all that difficult.)
    - Use Keyboard Viewer to familiarise yourself with the current layout and to enter the odd character; but, to be proficient, you should learn your layout to the point that KV is no longer needed.
    - Use Character Viewer to enter the odd character not available in the current keyboard layout.
    Neither Keyboard Viewer nor Character Viewer are effective tools for more extensive needs, eg, for writing and editing bilingual or multilingual texts. In such a case, you should enable the respective keyboard layouts and switch between them with a keyboard shortcut.
    A few interesting layouts bundled with Mac OS X have already been mentioned. Let me add three.
    - Dvorak: several layouts based on the Dvorak keyboard. It is claimed that the latter is more productive and lessens RSI risk.
    - US Extended: based on QWERTY, it offers a more extensive set of diacritics (eg, caron, breve) via dead keys.
    - Unicode Hex Input: also based QWERTY, it allows input by Unicode codepoint (in hexadecimal), so it's the most extensive layout of all; eg, to enter the character "Parenthesized Number Twelve" (U+247F), hold down Option, type "247f", release Option.

    I bought Numbers because my Excel files would not work with Mavericks. How can I import a non-functioning Excel file into numbers? (As of now, the file NAME transfers but data does not.)

    HI Dave,
    I'm surprised you get no message when you attempt opening the Excel document in Numbers.
    I'm assuming Numbers 3.1, since you are running Mavericks.
    Does the Numbers file that opens show any content?
    Does it contain a table?
    How large?
    Does it contain more than one tab (indicating more than one sheet)?
    Do those other tabs contain a table?
    Have you checked those tables for data content?
    There have been cases in the past of imported documents opening with white text on a white background, giving the appearance of containing nothing. Check for this by selecting a block of cells, then applying a Fill colour or a Text colour using the Format button (paintbrush).
    I'd also suggest attempting to open the Excel files using LibreOffice, which can be downloaded from the linked website.

    Barry

  • Round to first non-zero digit

    I am looking for a way to round floating point values the first n'th non-zero digit to the right of the decimal point.
    for example if n = 1 then
    round 0.01111 to 0.01
    round 0.001111 to 0.001
    round 0.0001111 to 0.0001
    If I use the round argument then I need a way to determine what the parameter should be for the 2nd argument.
    This requires me knowing how many zeros are to the right of the decimal point and before the first non-zero digit.
    I have developed the following function to determine this. It is based on the binary search algorithm and will iterate at most 8 times.
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION NUMBER_OF_LEADING_ZEROS(P_VALUE BINARY_DOUBLE) RETURN NUMBER IS
         L_MIN_ZEROS NUMBER;
         L_MAX_ZEROS NUMBER;
         L_MID NUMBER;
         L_ABS_VALUE BINARY_DOUBLE;
    BEGIN
         L_MIN_ZEROS := 0;
         L_MAX_ZEROS := 130;
         L_ABS_VALUE := ABS(P_VALUE);
         IF L_ABS_VALUE IS NULL THEN
              RETURN NULL;
         ELSIF L_ABS_VALUE = BINARY_DOUBLE_NAN Or L_ABS_VALUE < POWER(10, -L_MAX_ZEROS) Then
              RETURN L_MAX_ZEROS;
         ELSIF L_ABS_VALUE >= 0.1 Then
              RETURN 0;
         END IF;
         LOOP
              L_MID := TRUNC((L_MIN_ZEROS + L_MAX_ZEROS) / 2);
              IF L_ABS_VALUE < POWER(10, -L_MID) And L_ABS_VALUE >= POWER(10, -(L_MID + 1)) Then
                   RETURN L_MID;
              ELSIF L_ABS_VALUE < POWER(10, -(L_MID + 1)) Then
                   L_MIN_ZEROS := L_MID + 1;
              ELSE
                   L_MAX_ZEROS := L_MID - 1;
              End If;
         END LOOP;
    END;If anyone can think of a more efficient way of doing this that would be great.

    END
    I am working on above query needing assistance with how to specify 6-digit number here ###### ?
    Regards,
    Karen

    Hi Nagarajan,
    Thank you for assistance these queries are functioning well and due to improving knowledge I have added another condition to because when I tested I discover it is possible to add DN by putting "Verbal" in the field. Because we have many customers who do not require formal purchase orders it is necessary to block 'Verbal' and 'To be confirmed' 'TBC' 'follow' and so on.
    Here is query: It seems to work fine with basic testing so far..
    IF @object_type = '15' AND @transaction_type IN ('A','U')
    BEGIN
    IF EXISTS(SELECT T0.[Docentry] FROM ODLN T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode] = 'CCOR001' AND T0.[NumAtCard] is null AND ISNUMERIC( T0.NumAtCard ) = 0 OR LEN(CAST(T0.[NumAtCard] As nvarchar(4000))) <> 6 AND T0.docentry = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
    SELECT @error = 1, @error_message = N'Cannot deliver without 6 digit Purchase Order number'
    END

  • How do I send a text message to a 5-digit number?

    Hi!
    A local radio station has frequent contests where you have to sent one word to a 5-digit number. How do I do his?
    I've tried with my iPhone 4S, and now I have a 5S but the message never gets through.
    The number is 36500.

    Thanks.

    So, for all intents and purposes, I can now send a a message to that number.  If I ever win anything, (Yeah, Right!) perhaps I'll share the prize with the 3 of you.
    So, thanks to TTipgem, Ann154, and TonyG_VZW for your advice.
    Actually this makes sense. Once you add text to the subject line when creating a text message it automatically turns it into a MMS message. The short code number is probably setup to ONLY receive SMS messages and blocks MMS messages.
