How do I "Block Downloads/Use of Specific Services"

Here it says it's possible to block downloads or use of specific services through My Verizon.
http://support.verizonwireless.com/information/blocks_comparison.html
However the FAQ seems to be outdated, and I can't figure out how to do this. Where do I go to block downloads/use of specific services?

I can see where you're coming from regarding the confusing steps in the link you provided. To view available blocks, you can sign into My Verizon as the account holder. Underneath Plan, choose Change Features, select the line you want to modify the features on, press Next, at the top, click on View all features and services, choose the blocks you need and press next. Review the summary before pressing submit.
If you can't find the options that you need, you can DM me directly (representatives have additional blocks available that may not be provisioned online). You can also make a quick call to customer service at 800-922-0204. Let me know if that answers your question.

First of you need to check if the transaction has a BO (in released status) published to use the GOS.
These are the pre-requisites for GOS

Once done.. check that you have valid workflow linkages active for this BO.
Now when you click on the 'start workflow' the system will show all relevant workflows for the BO to choose from and to start.

I'm facing a problem while trying to set the blocking indicator for product specific Transportation Lanes-external procurement.
How can i proceed on the same?
I've figured out 2 methods for blocking the product specific TLanes.
1. using /SAPAPO/TR_TL_TRANSFER_BAPI.
2. using BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI.
I tried using the BAPI - /SAPAPO/TR_TL_TRANSFER_BAPI, which comes inside the DELETE BAPI - BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_DELMULTI. Although I had passed the parameters reg. external procurement, nothing seemed to be happening in the system. There was no blocking indicator - D(locked and flagged for deletion) set against the subjected TLane. In fact, to my amazement, the BAPI didn't return even a single msg. BAPIRETURN internal table after execution was empty.
Here, I'm passing:
(IV_LOGQS) TYPE /SAPAPO/LOGQS
(IV_LOGSYS) TYPE LOGSYS
(IV_CALLER) TYPE /SAPAPO/MD_CALLER
(IT_TR) TYPE /SAPAPO/TR_TTD_TR

I haven't tried on the second method yet. Is there any other programming alternative for setting the blocking indicator of a TLane / multiple Tlanes?
Could anyone pls explain and guide me on a suitable method to be chosen and the process to be followed, parameters to be passed, etc.

Use the standard BAPI: BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 (according to SCM version you are using)
to update the deletion flag for product specific T-lane, in this BAPI you have to pass the data to EXTERNAL_PROCUREMENT parameter table in which LOCKED_FLG field is there in which you can pass the "D" for deletion or block flag.
Also you have to pass the same entries in EXTERNAL_PROCUREMENT_X parameter table of this BAPI.
If any further help required, refer the documentation of BAPI or let me know.

How do I block data use on my phone?

I have an LG Cosmos with access to mobile web, mobile email and gps. I don't have a data plan so it would charge me by the mb or whatever. Access to these features is really easy so to prevent accidents or other people playing with my phone from racking up my bill, how can I block data usage? Airplane mode would also turn off my phone signal so how else would I block data?

Same thing has happened to me now in 2 of the last 3 months. Had to call and complain as I don't use the mobile web on my phone.
So you have the data block? I was told straight out when they put the block on for me you are charged the minimum for it just trying to connect so I didn't bother to call and have them take it off since it was my fault and I knew that would happen, guess I should have said something. Where I can check that information which locale are used by the running process?
I ask because I would like to make sure that for example when the locale are French or Japanese the process/deamon use the current locale.

How to force dg4msql to use a specific port

I've configured an Oracle Database Gateway (Linux RHEL 5) to connect to my SQL Server boxes, but have a host based firewall (on the Linux box) in between them. Sniffing shows that the communication to port 1433 comes from a range of port numbers on the Linux box. Is there a way to force 'dg4msql' to only use a specific port?
Removing the host based firewall is not an option, nor is opening up total communication between the two machines. Hopefully 'dg4msql' can be configured to use a specific port.

It isn't possible to configure the gateway to onlyuse specific ports.
This is not just a gateway issue but the way that SQL*Net works and you should see the same problem connecting from one Oracle database to another through a firewall.
The only workround is to use a firewall which is SQL*Net compliant or a firewall which will limit the number of ports to a certain application.

Is there any way of online monitoring using the web services, checking data/parameters provided and fixing what needed - before a disasters comes? The supervising layer should work WITHOUT the same environment (rather on the system level) in order to be on a qualitative much higher reliability level. First check whether the data exist with full combination of Name,Desc and City.
If not exist you can execute the create function.
If exist, get confirmation to delete the item by pop up. Using item ID you can perform Delete operation

Currently there is not an OO method of implementing the block ALV, it is only available using the REUSE function module.

How do you block the use of an ipod touch after its been stolen

my daughters ipod touch has been stolen but ive linked them all to the same email address as mine is there anyway i can locate hers instead of mine, or is there a way to completly lock it so its unusable?

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
