How do I block telnet port 23 and 2000 (newbie)

I am a small business owner who is trying to comply with Trustwave's PCI compliance to accept credit cards over my virtual terminal. They run a scan once a month and it says that I am not in compliance because Telnet is using port 23 and 2000. I have a Airport Extreme Basestation and I'm using a Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

I am a newb and I have no idea what any of this means. I tried searching and found that someone forwarded the ports to nonexisting address and that seemed to work but I do not even know the basics of how to do that.

The focus should be on the devices you already have (or need to deploy) before the internet traffic comes to your Airport Extreme.
You do need a business class firewall in order to Comply with Trustwave's PCI compliance.
Airport Extreme as serious as it sounds and is - is not a business class device.
You can learn a lot from these forums but I urge you to contact IT company to deploy a proper firewall solution for your network.

You will need to use the advanced digital VIs to accomplish what you are trying to do.
The Easy DIO VI's are simply a combination of two DIO advanced VI, so you will use the same two advanced VI with a little different calling method. We want to call both PORT Config VI first to configure two ports for read and one port for write. Then we can simply read and write to the ports as desired, perhaps in a loop.
The best place to start would be to look at the LabVIEW examples for Digital Input and Output operations. In LabVIEW, go to Search Examples then under I/O interfaces select DAQ (or Data Acquisition)-> Digital Input and Output->Immediate Digital Input and Output. From her you will want to look at the examples under the 8255 chip which is the chip on
the DIO-24. I would recommend looking at Read from two digtial ports and the Write to one digital port VI's.
From here you will simply need to combine the two together. One note: you will want to make sure that both port config VI are called before either Port Read or Port Write VIs.

First, it's a really bad idea to put your email address in a post to a public forum where millons of people, including some who have less than stellar ethics, will see it. At the least you will now be on thousands of spammer lists.
Log in to your account using your Apple ID and password at https://www.icloud.com and click "Find my iPhone".

Selection screen:
   - Plant
   - S/Loc
   - material
   - month
   - year
Output has opening and closing balance, of stocks . I am fetching blocked stock from MARDH, (SPEME + RETME )
my problem now is is want to excluded block stock to QI (with movement type 349 and 350). Please suggest me as how to exclude material from movement type (349 & 350) from the total of MARDH (SPEME + RETME )

To make all types of calculations on stock I have a some methods posted previously,,
Please check the link once for calculating the stocks accordingly.

To Calculate Opening Stock & Closing stock there are different procedures.
It just depends of\n the client requirements & usage of the material.
For example, we have different types of stocks, like, Through Pipeline, Special, Unristricted, quality, safety,
and many types of stocks.... so all these types are indicated in MSEG tabe in SOBTZ field,...
Now Comimg to your Query, You need to calculate OPENING & CLOSING STOCK.
We have a similiar standard report in MB5B Tcode..
to get the same results in your report do like this...
For valuated stock go to the MARDH, MBEWH, MCHBH tables But I Prefer MBEWH.
here in MBEWH give the month & year and you get the result in LBKUM field...
For Special stock, You need to go to another table like MKOLH,,(I forgot still 2 more) and
give the month & year inputs and you will get the result in SLABS field.
and remaining MB5B refers to its deetails lists with different Movement types,
whcih you can get clearly from MSEG Table...
Hope you can write the select Queries accordingly.
If you want to find the Stock for a particluar date, It is not available in any table as I know,
Rather you need to do calculations like this.
1. Select the stock (Menge) till date from MSEG and add all with different movement types,
Its a logic need to ask to your functional consultant,
like 101 added to stock, 601 sales, 102 rejeted, 602 added back to stock,... transfers, 261,,, like this.
But take a little time, get all these by using MKPF & MSEG tables... thats it.
Or----
2.Tables are MSEG , MKPF ... use Debit / Credit indicator ( Do not go woth any static Movement types ) and u have to consider all stock related table
MBEW , EBEW etc..., to get the stcok on particular date .
Please refer to Std. Tcode FBL5N for reference.

Then there is no point to use it for me. Some channels require parental control for some programs, so this option should be available.Someone can argue that then "why don't you lock whole channel and unlock whenever you want to use it." I want to avoid locking-unlocking by locking specific programs.
Comcast has this option of locking specific program as well locking channel!

Yes, I know all about the "Do Not Call" list, and the laws, blah, blah, blah.... these annoying calls from 800, 866, "Unlisted", "Anonymous" and "Toll Free" still happen. And, there is no point in trying to save one number at a time in a "Don't Answer" list, as these callers are smart and rarely use the same originating number twice.... Surely there is a way to program my phone to ignore calls by area code or selected sender names. Does anyone know how to do this? If any app is available, or service, I would love to hear about it and pay a lot to have this kind of protection on my phone. Thanks for your help in this!

Verizon has family safeguards for $5 a month which covers all your phones. It blocks loads of numbers.

There is a feature on my iPhone 5s that you can block each number for free right from the recent call listings. "Block Number"
However I am not certain if this feature is on the cheaper 5c

How do I block Area Code 350 and other non-USA or invalid area codes?

Spam calls are becoming more prevalent, despite being on the donotcall registry. I would like to block invalid area codes, non-USA area codes, and accept only calls from 10 digit numbers in valid US area codes. Can someone explain how to do this? If it cannot be done, where is Verizon's suggestion box? Thanks.

I'm very sorry to hear you're receiving all of those bothersome calls. I know they would be annoying me so I can only imagine how you're feeling about them right now! The blocking of calls and text messages is a carrier function. Contact your cell phone carrier to see if they offer this service. There are no iPhone apps that will block phone calls or text messages. If your carrier doesn't provide call or text message blocking is to assign a silent ringtone to the numbers you want blocked and ignore them.

How do I use serial port read and show text, but not have it scroll off screen?

I am new-ish/returning amateur user of Labview and I am trying to edit the example VI "Advanced serial write and read VI" that is part of dev suite 2012. I need to use the string box to show ALL text received from serial port, always appending and only rolls off screen when more real data arrives at serial port.
What is actually happening is as more bytes (or no bytes AT ALL!) arrive during read time, current text rolls off the string box. Even when 0 bytes are received, screen is blanked out.  I am not very familiar with functions locations and even worse at understanding obscure references to functions, so please keep replies very basic so I can follow.
Just to be clear, I need the string window to behave like hyperterm does-always shows data and it is not pushed out of window arbitrarily.

OK- lets start back at the beginning. I have a few questions...
WHy does incoming txt get placed at top of txt box and then scroll up?  why would it make more sense to input at the bottom and scroll toward the top. I have created this huge txt box that appears to be impossible to use.
I have attached example of txt boxes I have tried, and pic of VI I have edited. Bad marks for uglyness....

After installing Exchange 2013 with SSL certificate with OWA, Active Sync and outlook anywhere. I observed that if someone from external network can telnet to my server is able to connect. I checked it and find that port 25 and 587 is open and bypass my
Fortinet firewall.
I would like to know how can I block these ports and don't allow anyone can telnet on my Exchange server from externally. Please assist.

As Hinte mentioned, we cannot block telnet on port 25. It’s the way SMTP works. If you want to mitigate Spoofed Senders, then implement SPF/Sender ID and have your SMTP gateway anti-spam solution check for that and block or mark unauthenticated messages.

Block TCP ports?

I have a customer that has an Airport setup for their clients (it is a restaurant) and they have been hit with some DMCA notices, as someone is downloading torrents while on their network.
How do I block all ports but 80 on the Airport?

Look for a firewall. I am sure there are some. Not sure of the requirements though.
