How do I blur my photos background naturally ?

Hi there I own a site Zelta 3D, dealing with some 3D printing and stuffs. Back to main point.
I kinda blur my cover photo abit unnaturally, may I know how do I improve the blurring process. Did I overdo it?
What I did,
I used the smart select tool to select the portion I want to exclude from the blurred part, copy and paste it in a second layer. Blur the first layer and adjust abit of the opacity. Any better ways to go about doing this wanna attain a more professional look, like hypebeast they always had cover page that are amazing.

Just came up in another thread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1549014

  • How do I erase a photo background?

I am VERY new at Aperture and not at all savvy with any of the photo editing software. I'm reading the entire manual but am only on page 58 right now. In the meantime, I need to know how to "erase" the entire background so that only my subject remains. I've tried a couple things but have had no luck. Also, can you only crop in rectangular format? I thought I'd tried to lasso the subject and crop it out of the photo, but there doesn't seem to be a lasso, which would make this soooo much easier. Thank you.

    Hi Marilyn,
Aperture is not what you think it is -- sorry.  It is a superb program, but that may be like being given perfume when you are hungry.
Aperture does two things extremely well:
    - it allows photographers to organize for storage and access digital photograph negatives (files) and developed pictures.  It does this more efficiently, and with more powerful tools, than any program on the market.
    - it allows photographers to develop each digital negative (the data file from the camera) into the very best picture possible (the photographer, of course, determines this).
If you need to manage a collection of digital photographs (files), or process (in another word: develop) picture files made by a digital camera in order to prepare them for publication or print, Aperture can be a stalwart helpmate, worth many times the cost of purchase.
Aperture is not, however, a graphics program.  You do not use Aperture to create new graphics entities by combining pieces (whether they come from photographs, a text engine, drawing tools, etc.).  For that you need a graphics program (Photoshop is the most widely-known; look at GIMP (free) and Pixelmator (very popular)).  You can get Photoshop Elements for the Mac.  Graphics programs are designed from the ground up as compositors.  Aperture is not a compositor.
Almost everyone who uses Aperture owns a graphics program as well (often several ).  Aperture provides a bridge to and from these programs, either by designating one as the "External Editor" or through the use of Plug-ins.  Nevertheless, more and more photographers are discovering that they can do well over 90% of their work without having to leave Aperture (or its close competitor, Adobe's Lightroom).

  • How do I make a photo background which is in two colours into one of the present colours, e.g. I have a predominantly white background with a small area of brown around a particularly nice photo of an iris?

How do I get the background of a photo which is predominantly white, but has some brown area, all white?  The photo is of an iris but the top part of the flower is 'absorbed' into the brown background?  Help, please.  Groan

By using an image-manipulation tool such as Adobe's Photoshop, Flying Meat's Acorn, or the open-source GIMP package, or similar.  There are various other packages around.
Now if you're looking for help with a specific package and not for the general sort of package that would be required, then you'll want to identify which image-manipulation tool you're using.  (And also consider checking with the forums specific to that tool; most organizations have some sort of FAQ or Wiki or documentation for the particular package.)

How do I remove a white background from an image of a botanical watercolour painting?

Is the logo in a pixel layer surrounded by white?
You could make it a layer if it isn't already, then use the Layer Style dialog and set the Blend If parameter so that it will make light colors transparent...
You can composite it into a web page with transparency by saving it as a PNG file, as JJMack has noted.

  • How can i make a photo that is 10 x 6.6 to 10 x 8 without changing the image in Photoshop CS3?

    How can I make a photo that is 10 x 6.6 to 10 x 8 without changing the image in Photoshop CS3?

I could be snarky and say change the image in a different version of Photoshop, but NO...
The only way to make a photo that is one size into another size is to change the image.  You have a few choices about how to change it:
One way is to simply expand the height from 6.6 to 8 inches using Image>Canvas Size, using the default setting of having the image centered and leaving the background either black or white, your preference.  This will add background color to the top and bottom of your image.  This won't change the image itself, but it will change its surroundings.
Another way is to resize the image using Image>Image Size, entering the new dimensions after turning off the aspect ratio lock (resample on).  This will stretch the image vertically, however, so it's probably not a good option.
Finally, you could resize the image using Image>Image Size, leaving the aspect ratio lock on and resample on, and increase the height from 6.6 to 8.  This will have the secondary effect of enlarging the width from 10" to a greater width.  Then you crop the resulting image back down to 10" width, which involves losing some edge areas of the image.

    Set a photo as wallpaper:
1 Choose any photo and tap , then tap Use As Wallpaper.

  • How do I remove the photo dates other than with Sport Removal?

How can I remove the photo dates that appear in yellow from a photo other than using the Spot Removal tool which has not worked?

While I agree that more detail is necessary from the original poster ... maybe even a screen capture
I don't know if this is what the original poster means, but when I have tried to use the Lightroom 5 Enhanced Spot Removal Tool for this purpose, I could never obtain a solution that seemed to remove the offending object and fill in the desired area with a relatively continuous and natural looking result. It always seemed clear to me, when I tried to do this, that the result always had un-natural looking discontinuities in the end result caused by my application of the Enhanced Sport Removal Tool.
And so, in my case, to eliminate the dates from the bottom of my photos, I wound up using different software ... in my case Photoshop Elements, which produced a more satisfactory result.
On the left is the version of the photo created by Photoshop Elements, the date is missing (and at the bottom right, a lamp to illuminate the sign is also missing); while on the right is the image with no attempt to remove the date and lamp. My attempts to reproduce the removal of this date via Lightroom were unsuccessful, the grass never looked natural, the grass always had discontinuities which made the result unsatisfactory, and I did not save the Lightroom attempts to remove the date and lamp. (And if you look carefully on the left, you can see places where the shadows abrupty have disappeared, an artifact of the process, however I still deemed the photo on the left to be successful at the removal of these items, as I don't usually focus on the shadows)

  • How can I retreive lost photos on my iPad

How can I retrieve lost photos on my iPad?

How were they lost? You have provided no background material for someone to work with. If you have deleted the photos and are on the latest iOS, there is a deleted photos album in Photos. If you do not have them in the deleted photos album, you could restore your device from a backup that contains the photos. If these were not photos from the Camera Roll and from syncing, they had to be removed by a sync, and could be synced back as long as they still exist on the computer. There are a few other choices, but I'll wait and see what you may have been doing.

Hello, how can i get my photos, videos, and contacts of my iphone transfer to my pc. As i have lost my iphone 4

If you don't have your iPhone anymore, you can't access the data on it remotely.
However, if you are syncing to iCloud, you can set up iCloud syncing on your computer and at least get your contact info.
iCloud: Set up iCloud on your devices
You might also think about putting your device in lost mode or erasing it:
What steps should I take if I misplace my device?
If you ever misplace your device—whether it’s just lost or you think it may have been stolen—you should put it into Lost Mode immediately using Find My iPhone.
Lost Mode locks your screen with a four-digit passcode and lets you display a custom message with your phone number to help you get it back. You can also remotely erase your device if needed, and your custom message will continue to display even after the device is erased.
While Activation Lock works in the background to make it more difficult for someone to use or sell your missing device, Lost Mode clearly indicates to anyone who finds your device that it still belongs to you and can’t be reactivated without your password.
To put a device into Lost Mode, sign in to icloud.com/find from a Mac or PC or use the Find My iPhone iOS app.
For more information, read what to do if your device is lost or stolen.

  • How to motion blur an object into a scene?

I am using match move to attach an image to an object in my video.  The object sometime moves around enough where there is significant motion blur.  Obviously I need the image that I am adding to match this motion blur.  The motion blur filter doesn't seem to work for this (at least by itself).  All it does it make the image blurry within side of the bounds of the image.  The motion blur in any given frame is happening along a path, and the image needs to be stretched along that path as well as blurred into the background.  How do I accomplish this effect?

    Hi,
You can turn on motion blur. Have a look in the view menu to turn this on. Have a look in the project properties to set the number of samples and shutter angle.  However this is a per project setting rather than by layer.
Or you could a directional blur and keyframe the amount as you need.

  • How do you create a transparent background in AE

Hi--I'm using AE CS5 on a MacBook Pro and I'm brand new to using AE.
How do you create a transparent background?
I need it because I'm creating a shatter effect on a photo and want to import the AE movie into FCP and have it play on one layer while beneath it  another image will be seen when the shatter effect takes place.
    He'p me, cap'n!
    Thanks!

Hey Guys, thanks for your replys!!
Wow, there's a lot to check out there--great!
I hope I'm on the right track, I just watched the video about preserving transparency and maybe I'm stupid, maybe cause I'm new, but I just want to be sure I'm on the right track. Sorry if my question was confusing, maybe cause I am a bit new.
To reiterate: I want to export a short AE movie of a shatter glass effect on a picture. The background needs to be transparent because I will import the AE movie into FCP and place it as the top layer. On a layer beneath it will be video I want to seen as the shatter glass effect creates a 'hole'.
I believe this url tells me how to do that: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/930588
    Thanks again!

  • How can I upload multiple photos without using an app?

I'm a special education teacher, and I teach a photography lab that teaches students how to scan and edit photos. We use the school's set of Ipad2's in order to crop the photos since the majority of students I have don't have the hand eye coordination neccisary to crop using a desktop computer and mouse. The problem I'm running into, however, is that our IT department wont let me download any apps onto the iPads. I've asked on six seperate occasions in order for them to update the iPads to ios7 and to give teachers the permission to install apps-- the first request coming at the start of the school year-- and they havent responded to any of them, so I'm not holding my breath.
Currently, I'm uploading all of the photos my students scan to my personal dropbox account, and the students access that and download each photo individually onto their ipads. Not the easiest thing for special education students to do, but its doable. I have not found an easy way to get the cropped photos off the ipads, however. Any ideas? I could attach each photo to an email, allthough thats more trouble than its worth most times. Dropbox will only allow me to upload one photo at a time, and keeps overwriting the photo I previously uploaded with the new one if I try to upload a second photo. Photo stream is the obvious answer, but icloud is disabled on all the ipads and only IT can turn it back on, something they've been unwiling to do

I worked in IT on the university level for four years so it's really frustrating to see more safeguards in place in a public school district any university. If we're trying to teach these kids to be ready for real life and then block out and don't let them use half the technology they're going to encounter in real life, well I just don't get that. But that's another rant for another time.
How I do it is I save all of the photos my students scan onto my external hard drive, then transfer them to my personal computer and upload them to dropbox using Dropbox for windows (or whatever the desktop application is called) . I then have my students go to dropbox.com on the iPad, login as me, and go through each photo, saving each to the iPad as they go.
I should have said upfront that when I try to connect the iPad to my personal computer it charges the iPad but won't recognize under my computer or show up in iTunes, so I am unable to see any of the data on it. I'm pretty sure it's not the 30 pin connector that's malfunctioning because I've tried with two of them. I can only check if it registers with iTunes on my personal computer because I can't download iTunes on school computers since I don't have administrator privileges

How do i get my photo's back? And why are they grey?

Restarting your phone doesn't cause it to grey out.
Were you restoring from an icloud backup?  IF so, it does take awhile for pictures to download.
