How do I browse C drive on my PC?

When I connect my 5800XM to my PC (Windows XP) using USB Mass Storage mode the E: drive appears but not the C Drive.
I want to copy files from C drive to me PC as the backups using PC Suite and Ovi Suite are incomplete.

It seems to me that Time Machine used to display an option to "Browse other Time Machine backups."
For example, my iMac has its Time Machine external drives attached to it.
Both my iMac and my MacBook Pro back up to it, though my MacBook Pro does so wirelessly by connecting thru the iMac.
So how can I browse thru the backup of the MacBook Pro from my iMac, since the backup is actually located on the iMac's attached drive.
In Time Machine (or somewhere) it used to say "Browse other Time machine Backups."

If you have TM in the menu bar or the Dock, hold down the option key as you choose the TM menu or the TM icon in the Dock.

How do I unhide my drive?

Somehow one of my drives got set to hidden. I have no idea how or how to set it to visible. I have a script that sets every file/folder/drive to show normally invisble files. When I execute that script, the hardrive is visible. But I don't want to see ALL invisible files, rather I want to set the harddrive to always be visible. Where is this parameter found. How do I get the bay 2 hard drive back to normal function.
If I go to disc utility, it shows up as mounted but doesn't show in the desktop or the Finder. I can unmount it or mount it but it still doesn't show in the finder or desktop. I can browse the drive by right clicking in Disc Utility and selecting open drive. Thanks

I dropped my 17" macbook pro and the screen is broken. Can I still use it with an external monitor? When I plugged it into a monitor I had used it with before, I'm not able to see anything on the macbook screen to control it. It came on but I just got the blue screen with nothing else after typing in my password. (Didn't see the password form just assumed it was there somewhere and it did go from space to blue screen but no desktop icons, files, dock strip at top or anything else, just blank blue screen) so I can't access the system preferences.
Or can I / or how do I, transfer hard drive files to my mac mini? If not salvageable as is can I pull out the hard drive and make it an external harddrive? In otherwords is anything salvageable? It seems it's coming on I just can't access anything. BTW I was told it would cost aprox $1000 to replace the screen! I paid almost $4000 for this thing and it was running great - makes me sick to lose it!

I'd like to promise you that everything will be fine if you just get the monitor going - but it's hard to know what the hardware damage might be. It might be the monitor, or the damage might be greater.
Your best solution would be visit your local Apple Store and let them know what your situation is. They have access to diagnostics you don't, and they might be able to the best way to save your data and keep you computing. It's still not covered, but they can tell you what your current options are.
Um, you might consider investing in a backup drive.

How to uninstall a printer driver?

In the office where I work with my Mac there's a Canon copier/scanner model iR2318. Months ago I downloaded and installed the Lion compatible drivers required that worked fine.
Yesterday (with no reason, no changes, nothing at all: just working) the printer started to refuse to print as it asked for a different paper format: A4 or Letter. Despite many attempts to specifically send print jobs in A4, which is the paper format loaded in the tray, the printer continued to refuse all prints.
Today I ended up removing the printer from the list, as it became unnecessary, and I also liked to uninstall the printer driver as well, since Canon released a newer version.
Currently, when trying to reinstall the printer, 2 drivers are displayed: UK and US. This lets me assume that those 2 drivers are still installed in my system: I wanted to remove both of them and start from scratch by reinstall the driver and he printer as the system was new.
How can I remove the driver, so that Lion won't recognize it and that I could make a clean install of the previous working printer?
Please…as a former Windows user, the most unwanted answer is "try to recover your system"!

Once deleted those files, when installing a new printer, the list of available drivers still shows the deleted ones. Are they truly available or is the list that has not been updated? And, yes: I restarted my system after deleting the driver folder.

Click on the Desktop. From the Finder menu select Preferences. Check the boxes for what you want on your Desktop. If they are already checked, then try unchecking and rechecking.
