i would like to browse internet using firefox in private mode without history saving and etc. just like the desktop version.

There is not a setting for entering and leaving private browsing in Firefox mobile. You can manually clear all private data by pressing the 'Clear private data' button in the Preferences window.
You can always be in private browsing by typing about:config in the address bar an finding browser.privatebrowsing.autostart and setting it to true. This will prevent Firefox from remembering usernames, passwords, cookies, history, downloads, form data, etc.

We have an issue where some die hard Firefox users are having trouble getting to certain internet sites, or heck certain e-mails cause these same popups by just trying to read the message.
Problem is that these individuals will get a pop up box asking to authenticate. Of course this generates support calls as to what to do in this situation. Sometimes all they have to do is put in their windows sign on name and password, and then it works for some time before asking them again (maybe every hour?). Other times it just dismisses the prompt but generates a blocked page. We normally have a hyperlink at the bottom they can click that says Reauthenticate User, but 99% of the time this hyperlink does not show up, and instead it says:

So I'm not sure if THIS is the reason why Firefox works or what. But to be honest Internet Explorer 7, 8 or 9 all work fine. The Ironport knows who you are because YOU ARE LOGGED IN to windows/AD. So if it knows joe schmoe is logged into the domain at 10.3.5.7, then it shouldn't matter what is generating the http requests from 10.3.5.7 (firefox,ie,chrome,safari,etc...). Since the ironpart is joined to the domain, it should be able to see who's logged on and where.
So what is the workaround to get Firefox to work correctly without any nagging prompts. And even if we have to have nagging prompts due to some Firefox limitation, how can we make it so that when the user enteres their info, it works 100% of the time... or if they mistype something it prompts again without a Base64 decode error on a blocked page?
The issue here is with high level executives who are getting upset because firefox worked 100% fine with a Barracuda web filter and now since migrating to IronPort, it of course is 'broken' to them. Telling them to use IE is a 'workaround' and the typical response is "it worked before".
We did a work around for one user by adding a new identity specifying their IP address and giving their computer a static DHCP reservation. We of course can't do this for every single person!

Hmm, well in a test scenerio that seems to work. But you have to make sure you go to an allowed site FIRST, then try to access a normally blocked site (like webmail in our case).
So say for 90% of the users web based e-mail is blocked. But for an executive it is not. They must go to our home page first, THEN they can go to their webmail. Otherwise it seems to block the user.
Do you know any reason why sometimes on our blocked page, the link to reauthenticate user does not always show up, and instead we get:

But the native web browser allows me to open an MP4 file directly in the Video app, where it is played directly. Firefox 4 Mobile first downloads the whole file, before I can play the file in the Video app. This takes too long and it is to tedious since I have to manually remove the downloaded file later. Is it possible to configure FF4M so it would do the same as the native browser?

The All Pages tab lists history and bookmarks. To clear history, have you tried using Clear Private Data in Preferences?

I am trying to access a work site. It allows access scheduling program. When I try to access it, it tells me that I need IE 6.0 or greater. I can get to it with Safari but it won't let me do anything. I set the Safari User agent to IE 7.0 and 8.0. Because it is a work site you will not be able to try it.

Sorry, if it says that it only supports Internet Explorer it probably uses ActiveX for certain functionality, and it just won't work with any other browser. That prevents Mac and Linux users from accessing corporate intranets unfortunately.
I have a similar situation with the company I work for, I can logon to the intranet by changing the user agent string in Firefox, as you did with Safari. But unlike your situation, I can do almost anything I need to do except for uploading images for jobs that need visual documentation. My company's use of ActiveX seems to be solely for the image uploader and maybe other functions that I didn't have occasion to use before I just said to hell with it and started using IE 8 for doing my job reporting.

MIght be corrupted Safari preferences (.plist)
Quit Safari.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Safari/Extensions/Extensions.plist
Click Go
Move the Extensions.plist file from the Extensions folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. Try adding an extension.

[Solved] Cannot browse youtube with firefox?

I noticed this last night, and it is still not working this morning (could very well be something that was changed on youtube's side of things that isn't compatible with Firefox, since it works with Chrome). Anyway, if I'm watching a video on youtube, and I click another video from the suggested videos / sidebar the page will load (within youtube's frame — red progress bar along the top of the page, and the title / comments will change), however, the previous video will still be playing and the new one will not load until I refresh the page.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Is it a new youtube "feature" or is some configuration incorrect on my side of things? Thanks.

hahaha I have no idea, I've tried disabling adobe-flash from within firefox, but not removing it from my system. But then I just get the "you don't have flash installed" error. I've also tried disabling my adblocker, but I really don't have many FF extensions installed. I have to run to class in a few minutes, so I'm hoping someone else has had this issue and will come along.

At my university, they recently started using securelogin.arubanetworks.com as a portal, and it seems that all versions of Firefox don't like it. Disabling OCSP supposedly solves the problem, but there is not option to do so on Firefox Mobile that I can see.
