How do I bundle my .java file as an .exe file to install from cd-rom

I have written a simple java application that I would like to lauch from cd-rom. I would like it to do the following:
1)Install the application to be ran locally on a client machine.
-OR-
2)Run the application from the cd-rom.
I think my code would have to be bundled and stored as an .exe file, but I'm not sure. I can not find any info on how to do this, so any direction would be greatly appreciated. Please explain in detail if you can, I am still new to this. Thanks!

1) I was able to use InstallAnywhere to create an installer for my application, but I was unaware that there was a java InstallShield. How do I access this feature?
2) Also from my understanding, I will have to write an executable java launcher in another language. Where can I find more info on this topic?
3) Not sure how to create jar files just yet. Where can I find more info on creating executable jar files.
Thanks for your help!!!!!!!

    Hi,
It is because the converter works on byte code and it only supports a subset of the Java language (see the JC specifications). It is kind of like compiling you code on Java 6 and trying to run it on Java 5. The JCDK outlines the required compiler version.

  • How to download .sca WAS Java files automatically with MOPZ

    Dear experts,
following my title subject, i would like to know how to download .SCA was java files automatically with the Maintenance Optimizer in my solution manager 7.0. (transaction code DSWP or SOLUTION_MANAGER)
Currently, i only can download .SAR & .CAR files automatically.
    Any suggesttion is welcome.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Best regards,
    Pascal.

    Hello Markus,
thank you for replying very fast
i meant : with transaction code DSWP or SOLUTION_MANAGER, choose the solution, "Change Management" tab, "Maintenance Optimizer" tab, "create new maintenance transaction" button.
In the step 2 (select files) i can choose "Calculate download files automatically" by the button "find download files" or i can choose "Fill Download Basket manually" by the button "select files for SAP Solution Manager 4.0".
After choosing the target stack version, i can only download .SAR and .CAR files.
How can i download .SCA files automatically? Is it possible actually?
    Thank you.
    Pascal.

  • How do you run another Java file from a master Java file?

We're making a game in Java at school, and we need to know how we can run a Java file from another one - like inside the master Java file, we need to have a command to run game.java (something like that). Thanks!

We're making a game in Java at school, and we need to know how we can run a Java file from another one - like inside the master Java file, we need to have a command to run game.java (something like that). Thanks! One doesn't "run a Java file", and there's no conventional definition of "master Java file". If you want to call the main() method of another class, just make sure the class is in your classpath and call the method. If you want to start up a separate JVM with that class as a process, use Runtime.exec() or similar method.

JQuery is a core JavaScript library used by millions of web sites.  It's the "do more & write less code framework."  If you're into re-inventing the wheel every time you need an advanced feature (plugin), feel free to manually code it yourself with JavaScript.  However, you'll need to test & debug your scripts in every conceivable browser and OS before you can be sure it's viable for use on a production site.
On the other hand, you could use a plugin and be up & running in 5 minutes or less. See the code below.

  • How can I open in java file a text file?

    Hi !
For example I have a java file name Pencil.java and I have a text fie name Box.txt
    I want like that if ( a == b ) {open Box.txt}
How can I do that ?
    Thanks.

Yes I want to see what this text file contains. Like clicking to a text file with mouse and opens. Then I can see what it contains.
    I have a Java document Pencil.java and I have a text file Box.txt
I will write a java code in pencil.java ( that I dont know ). Then when I enter a number from keyboard with
    Scanner write = new Scanner(System.in);
    int a = write.nextInt()
    if (a == b) {                } opens Box.txt
    For example
    I write to command prompt
    java pencil
It wants from me a number : I will enter 3.
It is same as b .
    Then Box.txt file opens.

the page is a standrad java moudle page
suppSummaryPG is a standard page and it is in
    payable moudle herachy is
    oracle/apps/pos/supplier/....suppSummaryPG
    what should I do

You can use decompiler to read java code. Oracle doesn't have any policy to prevent you from reading the class files.
However you cannot change the java code and replace the standard files.
    Source Code:
Oracle sells the just the software. So they are not obligated to provide source code.
The reason why they provided soruce code for forms and reports is that there is no robust personalzation and extention concepts available for them.
As per Oracle Support services, you dont need OAF code for extension and personalization.

  • How to open/download a .java file instead of it opening as a txt in a new Firefox tab?

    Hi,
I need to download/open on my computer a .java file, but Firefox does not give me an "Open" or "Download" box, instead, it opens the java file as text in a new tab.
How do I download/open it on my computer?

I assume that you are referring to a JavaScript file.
Java and JavaScript are different languages.
    To avoid confusion, see:
If the server sends the file as text/plain then Firefox will open the file in a tab if you left click and not offer to download/save the file.
In that case you need to save the file via the right-click context menu or the File menu.
You will have to right-click the link and use "Save Link As" to save such a file directly instead of left-clicking the link.

  • Compiling a osgi bundle related java file

    Hi,
i am working on OSGi technology.i have downloaded the Java Embedded Server .i am able to run the framework & run the sample bundles(jar files which r already given). But few other examples r also given where the .java file & manifest files r present.i need to create the jar file & install.i am facing the problem with compilation of Activator.java (filename).the package org.osgi.framework(related interface used in program).i have imported all the required pkges.& also include the framework.jar in the classpath
    (8 errors)
    errrors:cannot resolve symbol
    symbol :class BundleActivator
    import org.osgi.framework.BundleActivator
    similarly for " " .BundleContext
    similarly for " " .BundleException
Plz let me know the solution.
    Regards,

Apparently the org.osgi.framework package isn't accessible. Check the installation instructions, and read this documentation about classpath and finding classes:

  • How to compile dunamically genrated java files through java program?

Hi, I have a requirement where i generate java files from WSDL dynamically using wsdl2java jaxbri. I need to compile these files dynamically on the fly and jar it. Everything should happen through java program. Bcos everything is dynamic here, no information is known (like dir, file names ...) until the runtime. Everything is user fed.
the directories may contain other directories with java files. its recursive
i tried com.sun.tools.javac.Main.. but either its not scaling to my needs or i donno how to wok with this.
is there any option to compile the java files as they are created thru JAXBRI (wsdl2java)?
    any help is appreciated..
    -s

    my requirement is :
i create java files from wsdl2java (axis).. i need to compile all the java files.. directories with in the directories (recursive)...
as bcos the the java files have inter-dependencies they have to be compiled as a bunch something like (java *.java). I donno how to do this in javac.Main tool
Once all these files are compiled i need to create a jar out of them
    Any help is appreciated!

  • How many classes should a .java file contain?

Are there any general guidelines on how many Java classes should be contained in a single .java file? I've been creating a new .java file for each class I write but see examples in Sun's Java tutorial where there are at least two classes in a single .java file. One such case is the TableDemo example at
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/example-swing/TableDemo.java
    Thanks.

The example you point to isn't really more the one class in one java file. It makes use of an inner class. An inner class is something different! As far as I understand it, it is mainly used to implement some behaviour (in this case AbstractTableModel behaviour). If the MyTableModel was in a separate class file, it couldn't access the variable of the main TableDemo class. So they use an inner class.
So unless you need inner classes, this example is no reason to put more than one class in a .java file. In general, just put one class in a .java file. It's easier for everybody.
