  • HOW DO I burn photos from APERTURE 3 TO A DISK

How do I burn photos in Aperture 3 to a disk?  Thanks in advance.      Jack

I just got a mac book so I'm fairly new to this but, I do alot of editing. I uploaded three camera SD cards full of pictures into apeture, did my adjustment, and organized the album the way I wanted. Now when I tried exporting the album onto my desktop all of the pictures jumbled out of place. (They aren't in order.) I need to upload them onto a CD and I can't figure out how to get them in order on the CD.
Also Jmiller this is probobly a stupid question but when I get to the part where I want to export my version files I can't find the blank disc. Where do I go to find the CD?
    Thanks

  • HT5630 how do I burn a dvd using usb superdrive to mac or itunes?

How do I burn my dvds onto either my Macbook air or onto itunes using external USB superdrive please??

"Burn my DVD" refers to the process of taking data FROM the Macbook and copying them TO the DVD, not potentially the other way around, as you have asked the question.
Are you wanting to copy (rip) movies from a DVD and place them into iTunes?
                        -or-
Are you wanting to copy (burn) a movie from a digital copy on your computer to the DVD?
The way you have asked the question makes no sense.

  • How can I burn an updated (10.4.5) boot disk that includes 3rd party apps?

My install disk is ancient (10.4.0) and, when I run disk first aid, I also like to run Disk Warrior and, perhaps, Drive Genius. Please tell me how to burn a bootable DVD with a simple, yet adequate system, that also contains 3rd party utilities as well as Safari and other Apple apps.
    Many thanks!
PowerMac G5 1.8 GHz Dual   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   1.5 G RAM, DSL (sometimes with router)

There are two ways to do this that will work better than a DVD. I have a portable firewire drive I take home every night and back to work again in the morning. I have a system installed along with Disk Warrior so I can boot off of it whenever necessary to run repairs.
The second method also involves a firewire HD. Use SuperDuper! to clone your system HD on to the firewire drive. Then everything is backed up (which you should be doing anyway) and you also have a system to boot from with all your apps on it.
I really can't emphasize this enough, but back up is very important and will save you much time and pain. Take these examples:
When I installed Tiger for the first time I had cloned my HD just before that using SuperDuper! Sure enough, I ran into problems almost right away but was in the middle of deadlines and did not have time to deal with it for a few days. I merely rebooted off the clone which still had 10.3.9 on it and went to work like nothing was different, because it was exactly my hard drive. Then when I had time I went back and figured out the issues with Tiger.
On a recent update to 10.4.5 I cloned my drive right before then did the download and update. I rarely have any problems with updates but this time I did with things acting strangely. Rather than waste time trying to figure out what was wrong I booted off my clone and restored my system back to when it was running fine. Then did the update again and this time no problems.

  • Lossless quality in the future? (and how do you burn a pink floyd album?)

$9.99 for an album is very impressive, yet there are some problems that keep me from buying albums from the music store which I would like answered.
-Will Apple ever give customers the option to download music in lossless formats? Until they do, I will have to go to a retail store to buy music because I will not pay for an inferior encryption.
-Is there any way to download albums that use crossfaded tracks (such as The Wall by Pink Floyd) and burn them without the gaps but with track numbers? On the website, I read that you can select "import as one track" but then you lose the track numbers, or you can set the gap between songs to "none" but then you still have gaps in between songs. Is there any solution on the horizon?
    Thanks

StarDeb55, are you serious about that... CD quality cannot be offered for download? I suppose that's a silly question. I guess I'm just a little shocked, disappointed, and angered by this bit of news.
Not to sound like an audio elitist, but the ONLY place I can listen to these otherwise crappy 128k AACs is in my car when there's lots of road noise or through a pair of really inaccurate headphones with the treble frequencies debiased.
The compressions artifacts are just too much. They make all the songs sound like a wall of noise with no depth or nuance IF you compare them to the real thing from a store-bought CD, except of course in exceptional cases when the music starts out sounding nasty from the studio.
There are naysayers who claim that the psychoacoustics employed in lossy audio compression algorithms make no audible difference, but these people are simply tone deaf or otherwise not observant enough to notice, period. They assume that if they cannot hear the difference, then no one can. Of course this is not the case as many people cringe a bit at what passes for music-quality sound nowadays. That in itself speaks volumes.
I hope that some kind of lossless audio can be sold online soon. I feel it would be a success. I enjoy the convenience iTunes offers, what with the HUGE collection of music. I really wish it was of higher quality so that I could enjoy it everywhere and no longer feel the need to physically buy the real CD. The recording industry would still make money--perhaps even more.

  • How to burn album to disk (save album in other location)

I have the Starter Ed. and I would like to burn some of the albums to a disk to free up some memory. How would I do this?
    Thanks!

PSA SE does not support this capability. You would need to obtain the paid-for versions: either PSA 2 or Photoshop Elements.
BTW, your terminology is also slightly awry. PSA SE does not have the concept of "albums". Maybe you mean "collections".

  • How do I burn multiple playlists onto cd

    Hello all,
I just bought a new car and the stereo plays mp3 CDs. It has a feature where you can select and play an individual playlist from the cd. So there might be seven playlists on the CD (e.g., playlist one is Beatles, playlist 2 is Rolling Stones, etc.). Does anyone know if and how one can burn more than one playlist onto a CD using iTunes?. Please keep in mind that I want to keep the playlists separate on the CD. Thanks in advance.
    --mark

iTunes doesn't burn the playlist info to a CD. It simply burns the songs on a playlist to a CD.
You can burn the songs in groups in one of three ways.
    -> http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60931
If you sort the playlist by song, it burns one directory will all songs.
If you sort by Album, it will put all song in an album in an album folder.
if you sort by Artist, it will put the song in an Album folder which is inside an Artist folder.
Then on the CD player, you should be able to scroll thru the Albums or Artist.

  • How do i burn a back up of Lion?

I am trying to fix a corrupt hd.  i ran the disk utility and the results were "this disk is corrupt and needs to be repaired".  To repair, restart laptop with installion disk and run disk utility to repair disk.  Only thing is my installation disk is a different OS 10.5.4.  I'm using lion 10.7.2. purchased from app store.  i'm thinking that i need a Lion installation disk and not the original OS 10.5.4.  If this is true (which i'm not quite sure is), then how do i burn a copy of a Lion installation disk?

You had to have Snow Leopard - 10.6.6 or 10.6.8 - in order to purchase and download Lion. So where is your Snow Leopard disk? You can easily boot from that and then use Disk Utility to repair your hard drive.

  • How can I burn a CD?, How can I burn a CD?

Please help me, how do I burn a music CD?
    thank you

Which version of iTunes do you use?  Your profile says you are running OSX 10.4.7
iTunes 10 for Mac: Create your own audio CDs - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH1747
iTunes 10 for Mac: Disc burning overview - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH1746
iTunes 10 for Mac: If you have trouble burning a CD - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH1751
By the way, this is really a software question and probably should have been posted in the iTunes forum for the most comprehensive answers, not the MacBook Pro hardware forum.

  • How do I burn photos from an iPhoto library album to a CD disk as jpegs?

How do I burn photos from an iPhoto library album to a CD disk as jpeg files? I'm wanting to burn the iPhoto library exactly as it appears in the "album", so they appear as jpegs, so you can't tell that the files have been edited in iPhoto. (I have edited some of the photos in iPhoto.)
I tried this using the "share/burn" menu option, however, it included the original files, which defeats the purpose of editing them.
    Any suggestions?

Select the pics in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pics to a folder on the desktop. Burn that to CD with the Finder.

  • I just burned photos from different albums to CD-R. When I checked on the photos I burned on the CD-R afterwards,  I noticed that the titles of each folder that these photos are extracted from appear. How can I get rid of these titles???

iPhoto 9.6 cannot open iPhoto Libraries on CD/DVD. The iPhoto Library needs to be on a writable storage.  Copy the iPhoto library from the disk to a folder in your Pictures folder. And then run the iPhoto Library Upgrader on that copy, see this link:  iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader

  • How can I burn a disk of photos with a modified file name?

After importing photos from scan device, I use Photos > Batch > Change to rename files.  When burning a disk the changed file names do not transfer with the image but use the original file name.  How can I burn a disk of photos with the modified file name?
This is what I have done so far with no success.
Drag selected photos from Event to Burn Folder where the file names were changed. Burn folder lists file with original file name.
Drag albums to Burn Folder with the same result.
In Filer I am able to change the iPhoto Library > Master > Date > Filename and then drag to burn disk folder and see the changed name but this is a single file exercise without a view of the file's image, but to use the new file name in iPhoto events I have to repeat the naming convention.

    File > Export.
In the resulting dialogue note the "Name" section. Choose to use the Title as Filename.

I can't burn a dvd using any method, idvd tells me that my super drive is missing, dvd studio pro quits when i click burn and disk utility keeps spitting the disk out when I click burn and enter the disk??? how do i repair my superdrive for imac, or how do I do whatever I need to do to get it working: I have already tried using a lens cleaning cd and also restored my nvram or something i forget what it was called but i restarted my computer holding down  command+optoion+p+r and still nothing???
Free solutions are the best, although if I have to pay I will, I would prefer to not have to buy an external burner if possible and already know that is an option so please don't give me that answer... thank you for any help you can give

Unless your iMac is still covered by AppleCare, get an external DVD burner.
You can get perfectly good ones from Amazon for less than $40.
