How do I call routine??

Question

Hi ,
My class implements an interface.
And that interface has method which uses an object called doucment.
If I want to use that document out of that method in my class how do I do that?
I need to call that routine and then reference to that object (document) i guess..but I don't know how can I do that.
Could anyone explain with sample code please....
For exapmle... the code is like this..
public class report implemets reportbuilder{
   public void buildreport(Document document)
  ///code --this is method which is coming from interface reportbuilder
public void xxx
  how do I access this document object in this xxx method.

Thanks for the quick response.
I tried that way but it's giving me null exception if I try to access it out side (in my xxx method)
the document in buildReport method is pointing to the document which is coming from interface
but any other method is using the newly created private document which is null
I want to have same document coming from interface because I am adding like a table in it.
I am creating a report so adding pdftable in this document object.
