How do I cancel a cancelation?

I've just had one of the craziest days of my live.
To start with I'm deaf to the extent that I cannot carry out a normal telephone conversation.
A few days ago I was advised that we now had Infinity 1 in our area and asking whether I would like to sign up for it. As the monthly charge was more or less what I was currently paying I signed up for it on-line. But in thinking more about the fact that due to there being no power point within easy reach of the BT Master socket I am currently connecting via a self installed 40 foot hard-wired extension it looked as though I would also be looking at needing an Infinity extension kit etc.I decided to cancel the infinity order, stating that I could not afford any additional charges. Asking that any response be sent via email
I then received an email with an offer to reduce the additional charges which would remain open for five days. I declined the offer requesting that everything be left as is and that infinity should not be activated as scheduled,which was today.
But mid-morning today I suddenly lost my broadband connection so all I could do was to get my wife to phone the BT help line and once connected let me explain by telling them I suspected that infinity was in the process of being activated and would they please stop it, as it has been cancelled. Then having to pass the phone back to my wife for their reply.
But it became obvious that the help site were going through the usual diagnostic checks of a dropped broadband connection with the guy calling back at intervals to see what he had suggested we do had been successful. To give the guy credit for perseverance he must have called back at least six or seven times.
At one point we were transferred to another part of BT who hearing what happened placed an order to revert our service back to ADSL2+. But as this would take five days she passed us back to the technical help line to get us back on-line sooner.
In the middle of all this our phone battery ran out so we then moved over to our mobile phone.
The last time the help line called I asked whether we were on infinity if so then our HomeHub 2.00 would not connect no matter how he tried - he didn't know and would call us back after checking.
Not getting a call back I finally set-up the Home_hub 5 and bingo it worked. BT speedtest showing Connection 39.9 Mps - Download 39.5 - Upload 8.30. All over a 40 foot plain old phone cable extension. Which is quite an improvement over the 10Mps download I'd had previously.
So now I have some-how to cancel my cancellation and somehow find out who I need to contact to cancel the order to revert from infinity back to ADSL2+. Something that I'm not looking forward to given today’s events.
