How do I cancel a lesson download?

This just seems like a huge oversight, but whatever:
I had lesson 4 downloaded. I accidently clicked download again. It's now downloading number 4 AGAIN (and placing it beside the preexisting lesson 4 in my library,) and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to cancel the download... Thoughts?
Also: where are the downloaded lessons stored?

even though I'm downloading a lesson, my temp folder is empty.
but i did find a workaround...
disconnect from the internet while downloading, wait a few moments, then reconnect.
now only your downloaded lessons are viewed, and GB will have a small button in the bottom asking if you wish to resume.
DO NOT click on the resume button, then just go and download the lesson you wish...
when you download a new lesson without clicking resume, the others are canceled. the resume button disappears..
I'm extremely disappointed,
makin me jump through hoops just to cancel a download.
hope this works for you guys

  • How do I cancel a podcast download?

Is there a way to cancel a podcast download? I can stop it, but there is no cancel button.

If you notice in area in iTunes on left hand side where all the fancy icons are, Look down this list you will see an area called Downloads if something is downloading. Click it so it is Blue
Then right click on the Podcast downloading and choose one of the 3 options based on what you want.
    Pause
    Delete
    Pause All

  • How can I cancel an update download once it has started?

Firefox asks me to download an update to version 3.6.24 every time I go online. I do not wish to do so at this time. However, I hit the download button by accident and it began the download. I have paused it, but I want to know how I may stop it altogether (for this time). I have a Mac.

The reply from cor-el assumes that the question was about an ordinary download, managed by the "Downloads" panel interface. A Firefox update does its downloading (before installation) with a different interface panel. I do not have a screen-capture of the actual panel in that it's appearance happened a few days ago and our final approach was to suspend the automatic download (note that that had been started in error), and then to do all the manual steps we usually would do for a deliberately, manually-started, update. But the "hanging in mid-air" update forced us to do that update in a way and at a time that we ordinarily would not do it.
I still contend that the Firefox update progress panel (whatever it is labelled) does *'''NOT*''' have any obvious cancellation interface, not even the "x" noted above. (... and if it *only* had an "x", in my opinion that would not be a sufficiently obvious interface as compared to having a "Cancel" button.)
I am replying in this thread on behalf of "shepdog" as I am our local desktop support for the particular Macintosh. Please consider this reply as a mark that the reply from cor-el, while it was a correct answer, was not an answer to the particular question that was asked, i.e., "Not Helpful".

  • How do I cancel a pending download on itunes

I have a movie pending in my download that I want to cancel. How do I do this?

Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. Either let it complete the download (easiest) or contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the Contact page  and ask them if they'll remove the item(s) from your queue for you.
    Regards.

Throw the app in the trash and remove it form the Dock. Otherwise, contact DataViz for support as Apple Communities only provide support for Apple products.

  • How do I cancel an apps download?

My 6 year old has been going crazy in the apps store. I am trying to delete the apps that haven't downloaded yet and not get charged for them. How do I do this??? Apple has made buying apps way too easy and the restrictions area WAY too difficult to find. Apple has also made it WAY to difficult to find out how to talk to a person who can reverse the charges. NOT A GOOD PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS, APPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just click on the Support tab above, then go to the Contact Us area and follow the link and instructions.
As to the Restrictions, they're covered in the iPad User's Guide, starting on page 126, if you need to review the options. You'll want to turn off installing apps and In-App Purchases.
    Regards.

  • How can I cancel the instruments download?

I used the "Restore Sound Library" function from Garageband 10.0.3's menu. A split-second before clicking the "Download" button, I realized that the files were over 5 GB. I do not have this much room on my computer! (Room on my hard drive has been a recurring issue and I have already gone through everything I can get rid of... in case someone wanted to suggest that.)
Now there is no way to cancel the download. The download window even states that if I quit Garageband the download will resume when I re-open it. I can't quit Garageband forever because I am using it! I have already tried searching for answers to this issue, and found none.
Is there a way to force this download to cancel? I don't want to have to deal with the slowness of a full hard drive. If not, where do these extra instruments download to (so I can delete them once the download is complete)?
    Thank you!

Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. Either let it complete the download (easiest) or contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the Contact page  (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button)  and ask them if they'll remove the item(s) from your queue for you.
    Regards.

  • How can I cancel a started download?

Awhile back, I had click on a free TV video download (Brooke Know Best) but it had stopped downloading. It has been several months and has been paused in the Downloads. If I continue, will it be free or will I be charged? Or what I really want to do is just remove it. I'm not interested in it at all. Thanks for your help.

You can't yourself delete a download once it's been queued. The easiest thing will be to just let it finish downloading. Once it's in the queue, you shouldn't be charged for a free item, or charged a second time for those items that carried a cost. If you really want to cancel the download, contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form linked from the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them. Perhaps they can clear the download for you.

  • HT1689 How do I cancel an automatic download once it has started on iPad?

My iPad is trying to automatically download HD versions of TV series that I don't want on my iPad. I purchased them on my ATV, and have already viewed them.  I can stop the download, but not delete it.  It just sits in the queue.

    Try this - might work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the download may be gone.

  • How do I cancel pending downloads on iPad2

how do I cancel a pending download in iTunes on iPad2?  The wifi connection ***** andI do not want to wait the 2000 hrs estimated for download of a 3gb movie.

Hi. I googled How to Delete Pending Downloads in iTunes and I found this info on answers.com. It worked for me. I had 35 pending downloads and every time I tried to delete them, they reappear every time I open iTunes and automatically start downloading to my pc. So annoying! Good luck...
On PC, go to /Users/yourUserName/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads/ Delete any folder for the download you want to remove
Delete the file list.plist When you next start iTunes or update apps the unwanted download will not start  If you interrupt a download in the future a new list.plist will be created containing the interrupted download and the original unwanted download

  • I accidentally rented the hd version of a movie on my iPhone 4, and it is too big. How do I cancel the download?

I rented the hd version of a movie on my 8gb iPhone 4, but I wanted the standard version. The hd version is way too big for my iPod, but I can't stop the download, it just says "download error, tap to retry". How do I cancel the hd download so I can rent the SD version? I don't mind losing a few bucks from the original download.

    You double posted.
Open the Video app on the phone, locate the movie, swipe from left to right, hit delete.
