How do I cancel an app sunscription? I use the cloud, so I can't go to my account in itunes on my computer

I subscribed to a news paper and am having too much trouble with the app to continue using it. I'd like to cancel the subscription, but can't figure it out.

I don't subscribe to any newspapers or magazines but a quick Google search led me ta an article that stated .....
Go to the App Store, tap on the featured tab, swipe down to the of the screen to where your Apple ID is on the left side. Tap on your ID, enter your password and then tap on View Account. Scroll down to manage subscriptions and you can turn off auto renewal in there.

Apps don't count against your storage, because they are stored in the cloud anyway. Don't worry, you can re-download previous purchases as long as they available in the App store without getting charged again.

Open iTunes on your Mac, click "iTunes Store" on the upper right, then click "Account" on the middle right. Sign in there. That will make the signed in account the "primary".

If you haven't already, try restarting the iPhone, it could just be that the store is stuck. Shutting down and starting back up tends to resolve these sorts of issues.

Just turning off Cloud will not prevent him from turning it back on.
Rignt now, if he uses the App store, iTunes thinks it's talking to me.

First, turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account, while your sim is still in the phone. Then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. Give it to your grandson & he gat then set it up as he wants.
Important your turn iMessage & FaceTime off to disassociate the phone from your Apple ID. Apple "claims" to have fixed this with iOS 6.0, but until I can absolutely confirm such, I still recommend you turn all of that stuff off first.

Authorize the computer in iTunes -- Store>Authorizie this computer. Transfer the purchases from the iPad into iTunes and then you can sync with iTunes. Read this for instructions on transferring purchases from the iPad into iTunes.
